We stopped by this place on a thur just as they opened. Garrett suggested the red sangria, which was delicious... We followed that with pineapple upside down cake shots.. Yum We ordered the sea stack, that comes with fresh ahi tuna, avocado and cucumber with tortilla chips (they tasted baked, maybe just slightly fried.. Either way not greasy.. ) After spending five hours catching up with my sister and trying the watermelon jalapeño shooter and several more sangrias, modelo beer and micheladas.. It was time for more food.. This time we opted for the ceviche with big chunks of avocado, chicken nachos, French fries with some sort of horseradish dipping sauce and the cutest plate of churros.. The churros were so good, hot, fresh and whatever that filling is.. Perfect.. U can't go wrong with the food or service at this place.. Service needs LOTS of work. Waitress seems uncaring and bothered. Sure, we may be a little needy but, geez, who's gonna complain if I spend more money and give you a good tip. Ultimately, one star for some pretty good tacos. Another star for an affordable happy hour menu. Third star for the watermelon, jalapeno margarita. We just ordered tacos from Sena tonight. What an experience! The food is tasty, the service is awful. They have the hostess busing tables in the rear at the same time greeting customers on the front sidewalk, when she gets around to it. What a shame that the customer service is non-existent. You order to-go when the hostess shows up, then it's up to you to figure out when your food is ready at the bar! The customer experience is the separator of who stays in business. Look at all the empty store fronts on Myrtle or Old Town Pasadena. They will learn one way or the other. read more

My first time at this restaurant and my last time , terrible service , the hostess was rude just pointed to a table and told us to sit there , she didn't give us menus or offer water and she didn't even send any servers either , 20 minutes later of waiting a server asked if we have been help , he was nice and polite, he gave us menus and got our drinks , still no silverware , he came later for our orders and 20 minutes later we got our food , still no silverware, we asked again and finally got . I came here for lunch with some coworkers. Parking is a little tough to find but there is a back lot you can park (near the park). We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and I ordered their burger as my entree ( I forgot the name, but it was the first burger on the list!) The nachos were so good! The chips reminded me of pita chips, really nice crunch and texture. The chips were layered well with the cheese and everything else so each chip had something on it. I ordered my burger with a side of fries and when it came, it looked SO PICTURE PERFECT. Super smooth bun and everything layered perfectly. Of course I had to take a picture of that! The patty was really juice and the flavors complimented each other. This was a classic burger and I was not disappointed. The food was also very filling and I had to take some back home. My coworkers pastrami sandwhich and quesadilla and ceviche looked so good as well. That will be some things I would come back and try. We came here on a Saturday and we waited, and waited and waited, then we left..... We were seated at around 6:30 on a Saturday night, there was no wait and were seated right away. We waited for about 15 minutes, before we left, we were never acknowledged or even offered water, so we left and will never be back. Came here on a Sunday as a date with my fiancé. We were just in time for the happy hour. I love that they had a really great tasting non alcoholic amber ale. And when combined with their Michelada mix so good! For food we ordered a few appetizers and shared them. We got the chorizo burger slider which was delicious! We also had the fried zucchini's which were so very good too! They were not heavily breaded like most fried zucchini's it was a light crisp which was perfect. We also had the carnitas nachos which were a pretty big size for an appetizer they were delicious. We ordered the street corn which was not my favorite. The corn was just a little too soft for me. I went back again. The food a drinks are good. How is it ok for a server to deliver our food and not bring napkins or utensils. That's twice NOW. Read my previous review. Then our server says ok to two tabs, then in the end brings one tab, and tells us to split it. Don't say you wil create two tabs if your not. Simple corrections to lazy customer service is all Sena has to do to improve the dining experience. read more

On the days I need to watch my waist line I always love the arugula salad with the salmon or I have them replace it with juicy grilled chicken! I ask for fresh whole lemon that I love to douse it on. Waited another 20 minutes for someone to take our food order. There were 2 waitresses near us laughing and chatting with clients for a good while. When I told the manager that no one had taken our order yet, he replied defensively that one of his staff HAD taken our order (obviously not, we still had our menus). The food and service here probably rated a 4 star, however I recently went for lunch (total of 5 people) and found that (a) a 20% tip was automatically added to my bill. I thought tipping was for good service and kind of up to me? and when did 20% become the default? (b) The hand held payment device then gave me the "option" to add even more. The tables are sticky! The bar smells ! Imagine you put an empty beer bottle under the sun for several days, that's how it smells! Oh wait! As a party of six, we were assigned a waitress who payed no attention to us and failed to listen to dietary requests. 4 out of the 6 meals at our table had something wrong.
