Right when I walked in I knew I liked it! It smelled delish and I love how they transformed the place. It's a small menu but that was fine with us. I had the green chili enchiladas and they were delish! It wasn't a huge portion which I enjoyed. It was nice to leave a Mexican food restaurant with feeling miserably full. I'm very picky on my drinks and the magaritas are off the chain. They haven't been open for a year and ppl are lined out the door. The key is to come early. I see this place growing big. Went there last night with a fairly large group of people, and honestly was not impressed at all. The food was mediocre. There didn't seem to be an adult working at all, mostly teenagers. (I supposed they could have been in their early 20's but doubtful) the girl who took our order was nice but clueless, we ordered a couple drinks from the bar and they came.out staggered (some of our table got their drinks after others at our table although they hadn't ordered first) our food came out one plate at a time so the people who got their food first had to wait on everyone else to eat. then at the end she couldn't remember who ordered what and had to come back to our table and rewrite everyone's tickets and drink orders so that she could charge us for them. they were all eating at a back table which was right next to our table. we had to get our own napkins and straws. margaritas were nasty, tasted like Sprite with tequila. read more

We decided to give this new restaurant a try. It occupies the space originally occupied by Casa Nostra. As with any Mexican restaurant, you have to rate the chips and salsa. The chips were on the thick side but not too thick like Amelia's. The salsa is not chunky but has very good flavor. I got the green salsa chicken enchaladas. They were very tasty. My other two kids got tostadas which they very much enjoyed. The menu is sort of limited. There is only a front and back of a menu. Prices aren't too expensive. Probably average. My biggest complaint was that it was really hot in there. We will more than likely go back to this restaurant again. read more

We decided to give this place a shot and we are so glad we did. They are located in the old Albertson's shopping center next to Leslie's. The service was great and our food was awesome. My husband and I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to our house but after two chances we won't be going back. I guess I know how to pick the WORST places. I saw this joint being built for the longest time. Low and behold it finally opened. Checked the Yelp reviews. Mmm. Appears to probably be good. Four stars and 40 something reviews. Let try it out. Keep in mind. This is our first time experience. Here is what concerned me: Walked in the front door and all of the front part of this dining room was empty and dirty tables. Some guy said "Y'all need a table?" I guess so unless you have to stand an eat. Motioned us to the back. Again dirty tables. This gal appeared with the wettest rag and wipes off the table. Afterwards it reeked of Fabuloso so bad and took five minutes to dry. There is a raunchy smell coming from somewhere; smelt like sewage. I'm really ready to leave at this point (and wished I did). Our waitress explains that it is happy hour and margaritas are $2.50. Ok. I guess we will hang in there. We look over the menu. Looks like mostly authentic Mexican fare. We order a little bit just to try it. Guacamole with pico de gallo and a couple of beef street tacos. The guacamole salad was ok but the chips were an entire basket of broken crumbs. Much like the leftovers. Then the street tacos we served. Beef seemed over cooked to death; or it had been sitting somewhere way too long. Anyway after three margaritas each We called it quits. They seemed to be alcohol free. The woman who made them admitted that she didn't know what she was doing. Maybe we should return when her sister (the bartender) was in. Now to end the evening I heard a dog barking in this joint. Omg you know what I was thinking. Then I saw the small dog leave in a woman's arms. Whew! That was a close one. Bottom line. I have been watching for this place to open ever since they put up their sign. I went Sunday and got a To Go order. I was greeted immediately by a lovely young woman and offered a drink while I waited for my order. She also brought chips and salsa while I waited. For me a Mexican food place is judged by their C&S and these did not disappoint. I normally don't care for thicker chips but these were perfectly seasoned and obviously fresh. The salsa was exactly the way I like it. Not too Spicy. Not too bland. Not chunky. I ordered Sopes were not what I thought they were but excellent nonetheless. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The only reason I didn't give this gem 5 stars is that the menu is very limited. No burritos or plates of any kind. But then again I have to appreciate the concept of quality over quantity. We went there on Tuesday. To start We had the three cheese nachos with pork, the half order was plenty and it was quite good! I had a margarita and the one they have in the picture is not the size I got. The dinner the wife got the the three steak taco's and she said it was very good. I ordered the enchaladas rio verde and I do not know what the hell that was all about. It surely was not good and that is why three stars. I was just going to let this go, but I can't. It has really upset me. Just a little over an hour ago I went to Senaida's Mexican Restaurant to meet my husband for dinner. The restaurant was a little busy, but not overwhelmingly. The lady behind the bar I assume is one of the managers because she seemed to take charge. When I walked in I was by myself, but I was waiting for my husband who did not have a lot of time. I knew what he would probably want so I was going to order for both of us so when he got there he would not be waiting a long time to get his dinner, and not have to slam it down. The lady came from behind the corner and asked me how many I told her two. She asked the people behind me how many, and they said two. She asked who was there first. Now I know she saw me when I was by myself. We made eye contact, and said she would be right there. When she heard there was two in both parties she asked who was here first. I said I was not thinking anything about it. She looked at the other couple and asked is she referring to me is she telling the truth? I replied seriously. The other couple did say I was there before them. I looked at her and told her I had no reason to lie. If I had not been waiting for my husband I probably would've turned around and walked out. She did not even have the audacity to apologize. I don't believe I will be going back. Oh well. Amelia's is better anyway. Please don't attack. I had to get this out, and I honestly believe the way she was acting she was the manager in charge. This was what happened to me last night. This person who doesn't lie, and I left a 35% tip will never go back there again. read more

The food was pretty good and fresh. The chips were warm and hand made, a little greasy, but I didn't mind that. The salsa is all liquid with an ok flavor. The guacamole was chunky with good flavor. The fajitas were good, not great. The rice had a nice flavor not too strong. I didn't like the black beans, but I'm not a bean person. It was all kind of bland and usual, not wow on flavor. It was a bit expensive though as our fajitas for 2 people was $25.00. Which wouldn't be so bad if it really fed 2 people. The portion was small, what I usually see for 1 person. Good thing I have a small appetite and only ate one. Also we asked for all steak and got chicken and steak. The top shelf margarita on the rocks was good, but not great and kind is small. I asked and they don't have a large. Bummer. It had a good amount of tequila, but too much sweet and sour mix. The server kept saying I should try the frozen margarita so I got the mango/lime swirl. I didn't like it and asked for a regular one again, she brought a regular frozen one which I also didn't like. Guess I should've specified that i wanted on the rocks. As in most frozen drinks made in a big batch and in a machine they are too sweet, have an artificial taste without enough tequila to cut through it. We decided to leave and pay for 1 of the frozen drinks rather than wait for another drink. I forgot to try the sopas which I read are really good so I was disappointed about that. The service was good, the server checked on us frequently asking how things were. Yes it takes a little longer than usual for your food to come out, not extremely so, but since it's made fresh that's to be expected and I don't go to a sit down dinner for fast food. I want to relax and take the time to enjoy myself, the food, the atmosphere and the company. I will go back again to try some more items on the menu, but I'm not in a hurry to run back there. Very impressed with this little restaurant. The menu is limited, but the choices are perfect. I would say if you are looking for an inexpensive, very relaxed and quick meal, this is the place!
