I am updating my review because the situation escalated far beyond poor service. After I left the restaurant, I realized my AirPods were missing. The tracking showed they remained at the restaurant for about a day before being moved to a North Little Rock address. I had to take time out of my day to file a police report and wait for officers to escort me to retrieve them. An employee had taken them. I returned to the restaurant and informed the manager of exactly what happened. He was still extremely hostile but asked for a description of the employee and the address where the AirPods were recovered, which I provided. I also made it clear how dismissed and upset I felt when I originally came in asking for help. His response was a simple apology -- no accountability, no attempt to make things right. Customers should not have to involve law enforcement to recover property stolen by staff. When you spend your hard-earned money at an establishment, you should not have to worry about employees taking your belongings. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and concern throughout this entire situation is unacceptable. read more

Solid, consistent, food and margaritas at very acceptable prices. We've probably eat at the Sherwood location once a month for the last five years and we've never once left hungry or disappointed, we've literally never had an issue with the staff or the food here. Awesome tex-mex and margaritas. My only wish is that they'd move down to the Hwy 107 and Brockington intersection where the new expansion is (and can serve liquor now in that area) and open a LARGER restaurant because there's often a wait during peak times. Ambiance is typical Mexican, but I give this place a 5 star because they are always super polite, friendly, fast, and the food is always excellent. My dad and I have eaten here countless times over the years and I've never had a bad experience. I usually order the chicken or steak fajitas, queso, and guacamole. Food was amazing and good. But our waitress was awful. I told her what my daughter wanted and she kept asking if she wanted the pepper's and onions, I said no and read what the menu description was said nothing about onions and peppers, her food comes has all that in it. Couldn't find her to correct it so had to get up and find another waiter to get it corrected. Had to get up to get silver ware I had asked for 3 times. Had to get up to get chips and salsa refill and drink refills. Then when we where done eating I had to get up go ask someone for Togo boxes and for our check. Used to be a favorite. Somewhere along the way they have slipped on quality of food. As most places in Sherwood it can get very busy around dinner time and service can be spotty. The dishes are inconsistent. Sometimes very good and sometimes very average. I suspect it is based on if they had to order lesser products that week or if it's new cooks. $5 Rosa margaritas were great! Regular margarita with raspberry liquor. Had a a good amount of alcohol and didn't taste any sweet and sour mix which I hate so these were really good! I had three lol. Not pictured had a hard beef taco and a shrimp quesadilla. The quesadillas come fajita style with onion and green pepper then all the toppings on side ( lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo). The food is a little above average but it's nothing special. it all just tastes like your small town tex mex. The service is always amazing no matter the occasion, they get the food out in a timely manner and they never have an issue with it no matter how packed it is. The steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas had no flavor. Service was OK, had to ask for napkins and silverware. Never offered any more salsa. The vegetables had good taste. The beef and chicken were think strips. Cheese on enchiladas was watered down, not much cheese. I don't know how so many reviews are good. Doubt we'll be back. We'll go where everything is better. This restaurant has gone from bad to worse. What I found to be suspicious is that I had to add the business to even review it, and it has been open for years!! (All the other area Senor Tequilas are on Yelp.) Ordered a single order of chicken fajitas and large cheese dip/salsa/chips to go with a price of over $18. The chicken fajitas were cooked with bad-tasting tomatoes. I asked for corn tortillas and got flour tortillas. I maybe got 3 tablespoons of refried beans. The rice has gross, dried out peas and carrots in it. The guacamole was a sick, old army green color. See pictures. The cheese dip was more like cheese water. The large size was barely enough for 2 people. The salsa was even smaller. Not sure what is going on here, but to quote Leo from Lethal Weapon, "They f*%cked me at the drive through!" This food makes Taco Bell look gourmet and is three times more expensive. Better to go to Hwy 67/167 and eat at one of those restaurants, no matter how hungry you are. read more

TL;DR Review: Cheap, good, and FAST. They will seriously have your order on your table in under 10 minutes after you order. They sometimes have chips and salsa on your table literally before you sit down. Your drink will never run dry. You will have a ticket on your table as soon as your food is half-eaten. You will not have to wait on a server EVER. There are some consistency issues on the salsa's spice, but it's always good. Pro Tip: Order Salsa Sergio for EXTRA HOT (like burn-your-ass hot) salsa. I've been ordering Salsa Sergio for years and honestly I don't even know if they charge me for it. Oh well. They'd also give you salsa verde if you'd ask for it. My go-tos for Senior Tequila are: tamales, chicken chimichanga, chicken taquitos, street-style carne asada tacos on corn tortillas, mixed chicken/steak fajitas, and steak tortas. Typing that sentence made my mouth water, and every time I typed a new menu item, I wanted that more than the one before it. Then I re-read it and chicken chimi started the whole thing over again. Senior Tequila's food isn't really extraordinary; It's pretty run-of-the-mill for the local "authentic" Mexican restaurants (only just a littttle better IMHO). I've been going there for long enough that any time I have Mexican food elsewhere, Senior Tequila has become the standard to beat. Most places don't stack up except for some of the taquerias in Levy/Southwest LR. Come to think of it, I suppose that *is* just a little extraordinary! read more

This was a tough one to rate, so I'll do a pros/cons to make my position clear: Pros: You can get one HUGE beer for something like $7. That's one big reason to come here to sit down for a slow drink with a buddy. The service is also prompt and friendly, one of the better places to come for that. Portions are also excellent for the price, and some of the stuff on their menu is truly top notch (if it comes out on a hot skillet, that's the thing!) plus, margaritas! The patio is also really nice, if most of the interior seating is uninspiring. Cons: While some of the food is very good, a lot of it is so-so, and while you can get the giant beers, the overall beer selection is meh. The biggest ding for me though is that people smoke on the patio. Vaping is obnoxious, but someone full-on smoking next to you while you're trying to eat is one of the worst possible things for me. It hurts here especially since the patio is somewhat small, and it's a wind-tunnel, so if someone is smoking at one of the back tables, it covers the *entire* patio. All in all, I like it, and I come here semi-frequently since I'm nearby a lot, but there's nothing SO bad or SO good to push it above or below 3-stars read more

Food is not good and staff is rude. First problem was sitting us at a dirty table and then they cleaned it with a rag that smelled like it came straight out of a dirty mop bucket. We had had wipes and recleaned it ourself. Second problem was the plate seemed dirty that our food arrived on. And finally, it tasted awful. read more

Looking for a new "local" now El Porton has closed :-(. I love all Mexican food so I will firstly say the food was great. It's very open and the tables are quite close and it was very loud when we went (Sunday evening). Not a place for a romantic quiet meal if that's what you're looking for. What sets this apart from other Mexican restaurants in the area is how cheap it is. Chicken fajitas here is $4 cheaper than Santo Coyote in Lakewood. Obviously the overhead here is lower as it's not the most desirable spot in town and the building is looking a bit run down. 4 adults with 2 margaritas and 1 beer cost $53! That is great value for money. But sadly I am English so that means I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to where I eat and this just wasn't somewhere I could frequent on a regular basis. Maybe the odd to-go order but that's about it. If you need a quick fix cheap Mexican this is your place but it looks like I will be paying a bit more at Santo next time. read more
