I decided to ordered a plate of sushi to try it since it looks pretty good. Our server from el jefe also took our sushi order as well. I ordered the el salmon and it was really fresh and the rolls are big. It's not all you can eat only a la crate. They also have a fusion of ceviche and Mexican seafood as well. FOOD POISONING Me and a friend dined in right after work as we were hungry and craving the nearest sushi place.We got seated but our waiter would take long to come around.We sat outside but it was a little windy and feared our chip basket would fly away haha. To drink I got an horchata and a coke for my friend.We got some sushi and some rolls like the "Bad hair day" "Seared Scallop" & a Yellowtail one.The sushi was falling apart when we would lightly attempt to grab them as the rice was probably not sushi rice.They took extremely long making the sushi as we weren't sure if the waiter would forget as he was also busy making drinks.We only saw about two waiters while the other was inside probably attending other tables ? Even if we didn't really see any.Once we were full we got a to go box and asked for the check,there was lots of leftovers so I decided to give them to my friend as her husband wanted to try them. Even when we asked for the check he took EXTREMELY long,we had to stand up and just walk away until he catched up to us and handed it over. Later on at night I started developing food poisoning symptoms with my stomach hurting extremely bad where it woke me up from my sleep.I also experienced nausea & chills.Both my friend and her husband also experienced similar symptoms to me and the only thing we had in common was the sushi. Beautiful location. And The El Jefe Roll was delicious. Wasn in the area and decided to stop in and had no idea we ended up here on the actual grand opening day. It ended at 6 and just our luck we arrived around 6:30. :( The miso soups came out in a timely manner along with our water. We could tell the wait staff was definitely still working out their "new" kinks. One staff member checked another by asking us if we had received our wasabi/ginger sides. In which replied NO... and a few minutes later here comes our sides. I ordered the El Jefe roll and he got the Salmon sashimi plate. The orders seemed to take a very long time to get from order to table, and pretty sure there was some sort of order issue between sushi chef and our waitress?!? His sashimi came out early and out of courtesy he waited for my roll to arrive before earing. 5 more minutes.... 10 more minutes.... and there wasn't really a whole lot of other diners amongst us. I got to-go on a Tuesday. They are friendly and fast. They greeted me at the door and when I left. I just wanted to "try" the place since it's so close to me and I love sushi! Wow wow wow! What a surprise gem. I found this place via yelp - starving at lunch time with no breakfast in me, and wanting to eat something of quality. I was greeted instantly and with such genuine care! I was sat at the bar and taken care of so well. Worst place ever! The manager Gilbert Tabares was so rude! They brought my friend the wrong roll, one that she was allergic to, and he made her pay for it because she started eating it. Please look at the images I attatched, they've got some awesome specials all week long for different hours of the day. Sure I'm not gonna say this place may have the best sushi out there, but you definitely get some bang for your buck. I'm new in town so I can't really compare it to other places just yet, but they didn't let me know. Audrey was our server and she was great. She made the recommendations that ended up saving us some money here and there. That's when you know you have a good server, when they help you spend LESS. Do not go into this place expecting it to be like Culichi Town. Going off of the name and the concept of sushi and Mariscos, I was expecting them to serve Sinaloa Style Sushi but they serve normal sushi. The main thing this restaurant lacks is variety. I think they need a wider selection of sushi and ceviche. I tried their Camango Botano. It's a shrimp ceviche with mango. I wasn't a fan at first, but after a few bites I found myself liking it some more. Initially I thought it tasted too much like chamoy, but after the spices kicked in it was a lot better. I wish it had more shrimp in it though. It was mostly mango. This dish only came with three tostadas and two saltines, but if you need more they offer to bring out chips. They share a parking lot with Starbucks, the bank, and Waba grill, but there's a decent amount of parking. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. The best part of this place is the service. Joshua is an amazing server. He's very attentive, kind, and ready to answer any questions you may have. He made this such a smooth experience! read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place out. A group of us went and ordered drinks. The server was kind to us. I don't want to nitpick but I will share what I didn't like. Keep in mind we like to support small businesses within our community. The menu for the sushi has the smallest print. No lie but I had to use my magnifying glass to read because the ingredients of the sushi is in Spanish. Our mix drinks were overpriced and not worth it. We ended up ordering sushi and it took almost 30 minutes to get our sushi. I started thinking that maybe they drive somewhere to get the sushi and resale it. I can't lie the sushi had decent taste. Since it was a group of us the bill came out to more than $100. One person from the group paid for it with their credit card. Why were we charged $7 for a service fee? This place is so slow it's ridiculous. They are never near capacity when I have gone on 3 different occasions, and I sat at the bar to try to get faster service. Sadly this is a waste of a really great location. Hopefully they can change ownership before the place fails and is replaced. The food is horrible too. Each time I tried something different. The sushi is just not real sushi. It's all filled with imitation crab or spicy tuna. They don't have a single real sushi roll, don't expect omakase, nigiri or even sashimi grade seafood at this location. I even tried the food from their "El Jefe" kitchen, and the chile relleno was so gross I couldn't even finish a 1/4 of it. I really tried to enjoy it, because I was starving after work, but this was the last straw for me. Chile relleno isn't that difficult to get right, they overloaded it with cheese. I basically just got a plate of melted cheese, and there was nothing good about it, even when I tried to remove most the cheese. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
