A delight! I felt immediately like I'd made a great choice for date night as soon as we came in - the bright friendly colors, the cozy peek into the kitchen/bar area giving it a very "family restaurant" feel. I had a strawberry margarita and the chef's special seafood mix, which was PHENOMENAL, I was so impressed. A substantial serving of salmon, shrimp, and scallops, complete with vegetables and rice, and I've never had a sauce quite like it. It was the perfect graceful combination of the mild creamy white sauce common in other seafood dishes with the classic Mexican spice profile. I ate about half the plate before I remembered there were tortillas to go with it, and then assembled myself several delicious fish tacos too and very happily ate them six hours later at home. First time in my life I have felt so completely certain that the chef was personally and entirely responsible for my amazing food experience, it was awesome. read more

Umm, yeah. The previous reviews nailed it. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and the place was full. Granted, it's small (very small) but that's beside the point. The place was full because the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Enchiladas, tacos, draft beer, chips, and queso added up to less than $30 and we still had enough left over to take home. I had the Mexican tacos (carne asada and chicken) and my wife had chicken enchiladas. Both were delicious and served quickly, but not so quickly that we couldn't enjoy the queso first. So how good was it? Our lunch was two days ago and we're going back for dinner tonight. So glad this place opened within walking distance of our home. read more

Señor's Chile is quite possibly the best authentic Mexican food you can find in the Annapolis-Edgewater area! They are super courteous and the wait time has never been more than 15 minutes for me. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic delicious street tacos! read more

We've waited 20 years for a restaurant like this to open in Edgewater (and I am not making this up)! Seriously, the kinds of South-of-the-border restaurants we've had around here are either the inauthentic mega-chains or small, family-run places that are, at best, meh. But this place is totally different. What attracted me initially was the bold signage and the kind-of-snarky advertising along Mayo Road, like "Actual Mexican food." The web site is also very polished and attractive. But the actual Mexican food is actually phenomenal. My daughters love their chicken quesadilla and rancho fajitas. My wife, the enchiladas senor. I've had the senor's chile and senor's fajitas. We all agree that this is the best Mexican food we've ever had (North of the border). I'm not a professional foodie, but the seasoning is really bold and authentic, with big portions of steaming hot food. Basically, any entree with the word "senor" in it is a must-try. We usually eat our food without much talking, except maybe, "are you gonna finish that?" On top of that, their crew is top-notch. They're helpful and friendly, and keep their place spic-and-span. We decided to try Senor's Chile this past Sunday evening for dinner , hoping that it wouldn't be as crowded as it was on Friday or Saturday. We got there around 6:30 and the place was packed. We decided we would wait for a table, and as we stood at the bar to order a drink, we noticed a group sitting there was paying and getting ready to leave. We happily grabbed their empty stools and sat down. The ladies behind the bar were very friendly and attentive and asked if we would like something to drink as they placed a bowl of fresh salsa and basket of corn chips on the bar for us. The salsa was delicious and the chips were light and crisp. We ordered 2 Mexican Mojitos and a Margarita. The mojitos are made and served in individual cocktail shakers with lids and a glass of ice and fresh lime. They were THE BEST MOJITOS EVER!!! They were FULL of fresh mint and lime and no skimping on the alcohol. So refreshing...just awesome. The margarita was equally as good. We ordered the fresh guacamole and jalapeno dip to start with. The guacamole was off the chart.... huge portion with lots of fresh cilantro and lime....definitely the best we have ever eaten at a restaurant. The dip was hot and creamy with just a hint of heat....perfection. For dinner we ordered the combo Mexican tacos, combination fajitas, and a sombrero salad. Everything was outstanding...the chicken was so moist and flavorful and the beef was delicious with a light sear on it and grill taste. The portions were well above what you would normally expect, especially the fajitas. We finished with fried ice cream and a slice of cake. This was hands down THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD we have ever eaten. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, the portions were huge, and the presentation was beautiful.
