When selecting a company to protect your house from termites, one must be very careful. We in fact had an unlucky experience with a prior company so wanted to research who we could use in the area where we knew they would do a good job, but also be fairly priced. Its difficult to know a company's experience and perhaps more importantly, their integrity based on a website. We called Sentry because of some solid reviews on line and we felt lucky that they met and dramatically exceeded those expectations. Their customer service was stellar from the moment we called (including diligent booking of the preliminary walk through and work) to the free appraisal/assessment they provided to the final work they provided us. We are thankfully termite free now after tenting our home. They coordinated the work in a timely manner and made good on all of their promises. I would give them more stars if I could! We could not have asked for a better experience! During a recent home remodel we found signs of termites. Called sentry about a sparrows nest in the siding of my house. Turned out they don't service my area. The kind gentleman whom i spoke with answered a bunch of questions for me and was very honest. I told him i was concerned about bird mites and he told me that shouldn't be a concern. I told him that another company i spoke with told me that was a problem and the gentleman at sentry explained they dont use scare tactics and i shouldnt really worry about a sparrows nest. He was so nice, honest, and even gave me tips on how my husband can remove the nest once the sparrows are gone...the last thing i wanted to do was hurt a bunch of baby birds and the gentleman at sentry exclaimed, "live and let live"...i like his attitude! read more

I had ants in my kitchen. I called them and several other exterminators. Sentry was the only company that offered to come out the same day. A few hours after I called, the guy showed up and sprayed around my house. He told me that it was not necessary to spray inside which would have been an additional fee. Although he said he would if I desired to have it done. No ants since they were here! I'll definitely use them again. read more

We spoke to the owner John, about our specific problem, and he made time in his schedule that day to stop by our house to look at our problem. John figured out the best solution to take care of the problem and immediately was on the phone with his office to arrange for one of his technicians to come out to our house the very next day to start the project. Thought I had bed bugs but Ruben came out and thoroughly inspected and told me the little bugs I was seeing were carpet beetles which did not require treatment. Had trouble with bedbugs. Sentry came out to our home a few times in October, 2015 to spray with special chemicals. This method worked. The cost was reasonable and much cheaper than other quotes I received for killing the bedbugs with the alternate method of heat treatment. The service representative, Bill, who came out each time to spray, was very courteous, helpful, and answered my questions about the bedbug problem. The bedbugs are completely gone. read more

This is a great pest-control company. Their termite inspection is free-of-charge and their work is quite good. They sent Rick, their inspector, within a few days. He did a very thorough inspection and verified that there were termites but reassured me that they could be treated with a local application of chemicals. He pointed out where there was wood rot. Within a week Sentry sent two very capable carpenters who did the repairs. The repairs and treatment were reasonably priced. Whenever I need any pest-control, I certainly will give Sentry a call. For me, the fact that Sentry is a local company was very important. read more

I had Sentry service two of my properties and the product was pretty good. The technician was friendly also. Upon initial contact with the company I explained that their technicians needs to have verbal authorization by me prior to entering my properties and I need advanced notice as I need to make arrangements for work and pets. I receive at 3:26 p.m. that technicians will be at my properties the next day between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. I contact the office and leave a message letting them know this isn't going to work for me. I get a call back from a lady with the attitude that they are DOING ME A FAVOR by servicing my properties. I was provided the 2nd Wednesday of each month as the only day my properties can be serviced. The attitude was incredible acting like I will accommodate them and them not accommodating the customer. She explains that since I allowed them to service my property once that I then authorized them to come on my properties when they want or need to. NOT!! I'm not quite sure who she thinks she is that people who work have an 8 hour window to wait around for a pesticide spraying with a little over 8 hours notice. I explain that the arrangement is not conducive to me and would need to make other arrangements. She again confirms that my option is one day a month. This is the problem with businesses in California. They act like they are entitled and that they are doing you a favor by you paying for their services. As a business owner myself, I couldn't imagine treating my customers like that. She was so willing to allow a client with multiple properties to take their business elsewhere that I wonder if she's an owner. If she runs the company how she treats her customers than I can't imagine how they stay in business. I would presume that she's not the owner and could care less which customers come and go. We have been working with Sentry Pest Control for about the last 4-5 months. We decided to call them to address some insect problems we were having in our yard. They immediately sent someone out who sprayed the area (not dangerous to the dog other than while spraying) and we haven't seen a bug since then. We opted to have them spray quarterly as we live in the hills and are prone to having many insects. In working with them, we thought we would ask about "gopher control" as we've had a problem with gophers for the past 2 years and have tried everything and many companies -to no avail. They sent Ruben out to our house and his method of trapping the gophers has been the only thing that's worked. It took a little while but we are gopher free for the first time in years. He is great to work with and has been there when we needed him. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing any type of pest control.
