On a Thursday night, this place was packed! I was able to get a walk up at the bar, but the service was fairly slow as the staff seemed to know/focus on other patrons at the bar. Additionally, there was a film crew that seemed to be wrapping up that preoccupied them. The bartender was still pretty friendly, and I placed both my drink and food order together. What I Ordered: - Midnight Hibiscus - $20: Not just beautiful, but delicious! Very refreshing on a warmer day in August. - Bibimbap (Bulgogi) - $25: Within 20 minutes of ordering, this dish came out hot and fresh. The veggies were delicious, and the bulgogi had good flavor. It tastes like they make their gochujang sauce, and it was okay in terms of flavor. I've preferred other locations back in Arizona for both the gochujang sauce and bibimbap in general as prefer in a hot stone to get crunchier rice. This location is beautiful, but very loud which would deter me from returning as 7:30pm-8pm seems to be a prime time on a Thursday to dine here. The food and cocktail were good, so I'd return if back in NYC for work at hopefully a slower time to avoid the crowd.

Had dinner at Seoul Bap with some friends. The food isn't quite the traditional Korean style--it feels more like Korean flavors presented with a modern twist, and most of the dishes are great for sharing. The Beef Tartare was tender with a nice Korean-style seasoning and a touch of sweetness from the pear. The Spanish Octopus was pleasantly tender and chewy with well-balanced seasoning; this was one of my favorites. The Bossam had a nice balance of meat and fat, and wrapping it with the pickled radish and sauce made each bite really enjoyable. The Bulgogi was flavorful and came with mushrooms and caramelized onions, making it a comforting dish overall. The Sliders were fun to share while chatting, and the Sesame Ice Cream had a noticeable roasted sesame flavor. We also tried the Korean Pear, which is actually a pear liqueur--light, sweet, and not too strong. Overall, Seoul Bap has a nice mix of familiar Korean flavors and a more modern presentation. It's a relaxed spot for dinner with friends and sharing a few different dishes.

Seoul BAP is SO swanky! I loved getting dressed up to come here, though I went with a partner that's vegetarian, so I didn't try any of their meat dishes. I would come back just for that, which would likely bump this up to a 5 star experience. Instead, we shared the Mushroom Bibimbap, Crispy Mushrooms, and Burrata Tteokbokki. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The food, drink, and space photographs on their website are incredibly enticing. Anyways, I paired all that food with an Espresso Martini which was good too. Wish I would have tried a few more of their cocktails because that was my favorite menu to look at. I'd love to sit at their bar next time and hang out for longer, but we had to make it to a musical. Definitely make a reservation and visit Seoul BAP!

Came here for dinner with friends for the first time. Great range of options in both food and drinks, catering for most people. Service was top notch and food was tasty. The Korean fried chicken appetizer was great and throughly enjoyed. Lychee martini was also very tasty. Bonus point - activated the Seated reward app and got 17% back.

Seoul Bap is a vibey Korean gastropub located in NoMad. It was packed with diners even on a weekday night. As for food, we ordered a lot: The Seoulful Tartare was a great start: light, fresh, and well balanced, with crispy nori and radish adding texture against the beef. The Spanish Octopus was one of their daily specials and one of my favorites of the meal. The octopus was cooked perfectly, tender with a good sear, and the sweet potato puree underneath tied the whole dish together. Japchae with Bulgogi was generous in portion and packed with flavor, glass noodles soaking up all that savory sauce alongside well marinated beef. Galbi Jjim was another highlight for me. The meat was tender and rich, falling right off the bone, and I'm again a big fan of their purees and braised veggies on the side. Great spot for a mix of comforting and elevated Korean dishes. Would come back!

Really enjoyed our experience here! SeoulBAP does a great job introducing a fun twist on Korean food. Their galbi jjim is a standout and a must-try here -- so flavorful, tender and fragrant. We also ordered the hamachi carpaccio and Seoulful tartare, both of which were fresh and beautifully presented. The cocktails were also a highlight for us. Really loved the Korean pear cocktail -- so unique, light and delicious. The interior is modern, clean and intimate and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely love to come back and try more items on the menu!

My experience at Seoul BAP left a lot to be desired. For starters, I don't appreciate the stealth pricing on their cocktail menu. At the top, cocktails are listed at $18 each, but then if you look at each line item, practically every drink has (+$1) or (+2) next to it. Why not just list individual prices, because each drink is not actually $18 each. We ordered a medley of food, from cheese corn, to prawns with scallion salad, crispy mushrooms, and japchae. The dishes all felt like they hit the same note: fried. We ordered the crispy mushrooms which just tasted like batter, and I was disappointed to find the mushrooms in the japchae in the exact same preparation, which was just deep fried. This was not noted on the menu and I wish our server had explained this to us, because our order felt redundant. The prawns with scallion salad was confusingly named, because there was no discernable salad to be found. There was one charred piece of scallion that looked more like decoration than an actual part of the dish, and the prawns were just breaded and fried. Corn cheese is corn cheese and tasted okay. We also ordered the rose pasta but it never came. Seoul BAP looked promising on the surface but did not deliver on flavor or experience.

The place was beautifully decorated inside and everything definitely looked high end! For starters we got the usually Korean fried chicken. The dipping sauce was good but there wasn't anything special about it. The burrata tteokkboki and spicy pork and octopus was amazing, as well as the burrata teokkboki as they were both cooked to perfection! We ordered bulgogi as a comfort meal, but it was alright, wouldn't order again.

This space was designed really well. Very moody and really nice bathrooms. The staff were very attentive and that really contributed to the elevation of the overall experience. The way our cocktails and food were presented was with intention which, I guess, justifies the slightly higher price point.   While I was a fan of the service and ambiance, I cannot say I was wowed by the food. I had little nibbles of the tteokbokki, fried chicken and vegetable dumplings from the rest of my party and while they were tasty, they weren't as mouthwatering as I may have expected. Personally, I ordered their spicy baby octopus and dubu pork which (including the leftovers I had) starts off really tasty but after a while the monotony is slightly off-putting. I would recommend other dishes before that one, personally. We ended our meal with the mango cake, which was light and not too sweet!   While there is a lot to desire about Seoul BAP, I did unfortunately find the food to be a little lackluster at times. I hope they can continue to workshop and evolve their menu because I do think they have the bones to be a go to Korean food destination in the city.

Visited here with a friend for drinks and apps and had a fabulous time! I started off with the Korean pear mocktail which was so fresh and balanced - not too sweet, and presentation was immaculate. We ordered some apps to share - crispy mushrooms, fried chicken, yellowtail crudo, and the watermelon salad, and each bite was better than the last! Everything was prepared so thoughtfully, flavours blended so well, and honestly my biggest regret is not staying for dinner. I'll definitely be back to try some of their mains! This place lives up to the hype! Plus points for a gorgeous and clean bathroom!

Came here during a work baby shower. Delicious and plentiful food on the prefix menu. My coworkers each all had their favorite dish and couldn't get enough. The selections were also vegetarian friendly as well. Beautiful space, great service, and tasty drinks.

Overall: 4 stars Vibrant Korean restaurant just a few streets below Koreatown proper with a fascinating bar menu and comfort Korean classics. The food was overall positive sentiment and the staff are pleasantly attentive. Unimami Bibimbap - Beautiful sea urchin rice bowl for $38. The uni is relatively sweet and not metallic, and pairs well with the abundance of flavor boosting garnish from the minty perilla to the pickled radish. The quinoa adds a delicious crispiness and the rice bowl is surprisingly filling. Our server was very sweet but service was slow on the night, and by the time we received our utensils the food was cold. However we were not rushed and were able to linger a bit to finish our conversation. For those who savor finely concocted cocktails paired with fresh raw bar offerings in a salon-like setting, this is the spot for you.
