New kbbq in Diamond Bar. Located next to yupdukk alllll the way in the back. When we got off the car, we noticed a foul smell and found that the restaurant is located right next to the big trash bins... got a bit turned off but didn't stop me from trying the restaurant. There was a short wait while they cleaned up the table for us. They only had two people serving in the front but there were two large groups of customers. We ordered the usuals brisket and pork belly. After 5-8 mins they finally brought the banchans which included pico de gallo. Tried it with meat it was such a delightful surprise! Loved that. Meat quality was decent. However they are very understaffed, which is understandable since it's a pretty new business. The servers (and owners?) were friendly and tried their best. I would come back in the future after they hire more people and work out the overall operational situation. There are also a few EV chargers located right outside. read more

It's always nice to find a KBBQ spot that doesn't just blend in with the many options out there today. We were pleasantly surprised with the side dishes. Everything was top quality and really good. They have two menu options. I recommend getting the more premium "B" option for a wider variety of meat and other special items that you don't typically find at KBBQ joints. Favorite beef cut was the Flying Tiger Beef as it had more fat than the brisket. It's like a beef belly. Other items that we ordered multiple plates of were the spicy tofu soup and pork jowl. Hidden spot in a corner. Found this place near my work. So glad I did. There was a very short wait on a Friday night. Everyone was probably over at some other hyped up place with poor quality food. Gave this place a chance and I'm very happy. The service was great. As any Korean restaurant should have, the table bell was the best. I don't like people constantly asking me how I'm doing. Once in awhile is fine. So the bell would keep people away while I enjoy my meal until I need them. The meat quality was amazingly fresh and delicious. Came here for dinner with my nephew for the first time. We found this place on yelp and we weren't disappointed. The service was great. We enjoyed the beef bulgogi, pork belly, spicy chicken, and a few other options. We enjoyed the sides. We will definitely be back to try the new specials and Al la cart options. The noise level is more on the loud side. But we didn't mind. Overall, we had a flavorful and filling dinner. For the two of us, it came out to 75 dollars without tip. 4.7 stars. One of the best ayce KBBQ for the price. The cheapest menu is $26.99 pre tip and tax and it's for lunch and dinner. They have all the bbq staples and the quality of the meats is solid. For the price, you can't expect top tier quality, but for the price, you'll be satisfied with the quality. I recommend getting the beef belly, as they have several different beef belly marinades and it's the perfect amount of fat to meat ratio. You get the typical banchan here and you can also order some sides like steamed egg, corn cheese, etc. I would recommend getting the corn cheese and then wrapping some of the melted cheese around some cooked pork belly. The portion sizes for each plate of meat is pretty substantial, so if you come with a decent sized group, everyone would get a good fix of meat. The service here was pretty good despite there only being two servers. Our main server remembered our order of like 7-8 different meats without writing anything down, which was quite impressive. I've taken many of my friends to this kbbq and it has become a go to spot when I'm in the area. The relatively inexpensive price for the satisfaction of kbbq is always worth it and I would highly recommend checking this spot out. read more

Amazing food all the meats are great, but the best thing about this place is that their side dishes and their appetizer non-meat dishes are absolutely amazing compared to all the other Korean barbecue restaurants. The L, a short rib is thick, hot and very juicy and well marinated.this is going to be one of our favorite places to go around the area. This place was much smaller than what I was anticipating. They have a lot of options on their menu which was what first intrigued me. They have a smaller menu for cheaper and then more options on their larger menu - about $35 a person. But the food quality was just okay. And the service was not great. Was looking for a decent AYCE kbbq in the area that didn't require a year wait, and/or costed a year of college tuition. This was it. Small joint hidden in the corner of a shopping plaza, right next to a bottle recycling facility/Goodwill drop off site. I was a little skeptical because there was only one other group of eight inside, but it just opened for the day, so I guess we were the second group of the day. Another reason I almost turned around and walked out, beside the no frill decor/ambiance, was a hint of "raw meat" smell. Think butcher shop. But since we were already shown to our seats and I didn't want to be rude, we decided to give this place a chance, which I'm glad that I did because we didn't regret this place at all. In fact, we will definitely be back. The menu is pretty straight forward. Menu A $24.99 vs Menu B $35.99. Depending on the type of meat you want, you can pick the price that's right for you. Kids under 3 eats free, ages 4-9 eats 50% off. I think everyone in the table has to pick ONE Menu. The meat. We ordered beef brisket, marinated beef bulgogi, flying Tiger beef, spicy marinated beef belly, pork belly, spicy squid, spicy tofu soup, steamed egg, corn cheese, rice paper and white rice. We loved ALL OF IT. The meat tasted fresh- not one hint of expired/close to expiration meat. Although we loved them all, we ordered a few dishes twice and one dish three times: marinated beef bulgogi, flying Tiger beef (3x), steamed egg. This is for a party of three adult (eldest child is 11), and two children- none under 3 years of age. The service was friendly. One wait staff for two big tables, which made it for a slower paced service, but I thought he did a great job holding the fort before more wait staff arrived later that morning. The place seemed clean. The restroom was organized and smelled like bleach, which is reassuring. Overall, the only downside to this place is the parking situation. We had to park pretty far, the market side- which is the general parking area and walked over. I'm not complaining since this IS an AYCE kbbq and we needed the walk after the feast that we devoured. We've been waiting first on the list with party of 6 and they seated parties of 2, 3, 3, 3 ahead of us. I asked why, they said the reason was the restaurant is small and the tables they seated those parties on are for 7 people and more (they split the table with a divider, 2 grills on the table) so they're waiting for a table for 6 people with 1 grill to open. When we got irritated and left, the server said "Byeee" to us. Only when I got back and took the picture of the waiting list, he started to reason and telling me to "not be petty, he acknowledged we've been there before and he had a table for us ready." He aired concern that I'm just gonna go on Yelp and leave a ONE STAR REVIEW which he's sorely mistaken since I'm still being fair and giving a THREE STAR (I'm NOT THAT PETTY, it's close though.) Honestly I like this place because the food is decent and it's nearby, but the experience this one time is pretty bad. I mean I guess we can game the system and just split into table of 3 and 3 and get a quicker service? For the Menu A, Seoul BBQ was about average for the type of food that one might get at most Korean BBQ places but shined specifically with it's relatively cheaper prices, well paced service, and tasty food. Most of the meats on the Menu A were the thinly sliced brisket style of meats, but most of the beef and pork belly variations were too fatty for my liking. Despite this, they were still tasty and other items like the teriyaki chicken and spicy pork bulgogi were very good. The flavors were also enhanced with the tasty dipping sauces provided. When the grill began to crust from the various sauced items, the staff quickly noticed and offered to change the griddle without us asking. They would do the same with orders where they would notice if we were running low or sitting around, not touching the food, and ask if we wanted to order more at a pace that didn't feel either too much or too little. The side dishes here are also quite good compared to other Korean restaurants I've been too, especially the cucumbers. The lighting and formatting of the restauarant was very comfortable, but since we were sat next to the door, the fan was somewhat strong. Definitely would come back so I can try the other menu items like the bone broth soup they offer, a different menu with more options, and the $20 unlimited soju and beer deal. read more

Service: 9/10, pretty on point since the restaurant is small. There's also a little bell button to request service. Idk if it's the shoes that I wore, but the floor was mad slippery. It's a store in the corner of the plaza and not really a place to be spotted at first time. Remember this location has a similar restaurant but changed owners many times. All of them are Korean BBq or so. It seems this restaurant got a new owner and grand open not long ago. This time, had dinner here for a birthday party, here. They have only bbq tables and combined several for our large group. I like this because it's more space between each table and won't be too foggy when too many tables are BBQing, plus waiters can serve us much faster. We don't need to wait because of the reservation but I do notice that there is a line during rush hour. The meat's quality is ok to good. I like their steamed egg bowl, especially since eggs are expensive nowadays...gzzz. However, the price of option B is a bit expensive based on the meats offered. Maybe I lost my sense of price because of the crazy inflation these years., but option A is better for me. Btw, the part of the parking lot of this plaza is under construction and the entrances are blocked. You may need to circler around for the parking space. read more

Old Dae Bok Jeong spot became korean BBQ spot. Came on a Tuesday night and expected not much wait since its fairly new and theres plenty of competition around. I was wrong, surprisingly there were 8 party ahead of us and we had to wait about 35 minutes for our table. They are definitely wasting the space inside. Left of the restaurant is being used as waiting hall and they are only utilizing the right side of the restaurant for KBBQ. We ended up going with AYCE Menu B but if they had pork jowl on Menu A I would have went with cheaper option. At first I was little thrown off with salsa and tortilla as option for AYCE BBQ but their pico de gallo was pretty spicy and surprisingly good. I do have to say I am definitely not a AYCE type of person when it comes to KBBQ. I prefer to pay a la carte for better quality of pork. My usual go to is pork belly and pork jowl. They did have pork jowl on their higher priced AYCE menu B but quality did not meet my expectations (I know you need fat on jowl but it had too much fat). Another disappointment was their kimchi. Its not riped enough for that sourness so I couldn't grill my kimchi with my pork belly or pork jowl. We also ordered kimchi doshirak and that was not as good due to kimchi lacking that sourness. Overall experience was good but once again I am definitely going to refrain from AYCE for a while. read more

Although is short staffed, I think the owner try their best to get as much meat to us and is not shy to let us eat ( unlike another new kbbq) we truly enjoyed the variety of side dish and lunch box fried rices , only thing we had to complain was the shrimp .. it was small and black headed . We decided to try the $24.99 deal because we mainly eat brisket and bulgogi only. The place is new, nice, clean, very bright and not smoggy. It's roomy inside with lots of tables, good for large parties as well. The meat quality was really good, and the side dishes were really fresh with many varieties. Flying tiger beef was something new to us. It's thin sliced beef bellies with a special sauce which had a sweet and sour taste. It tasted more like Thai to me. Beef belly is usually oily, but with this special sauce, this juice grilled beef belly can increase your appetite. Kimchi doshirak was also new to try. The waiter had egg, kimchi, rice and some sauce in a metal bento box, and he shook the box to mix the ingredients before serving. It tasted like kimchi stirred rice. Pretty good as a side. The meat quality isn't bad at all like some reviewer mentioned. $24.95 and $34.95 are the two choices. Pay the extra $10 trust me- the meat choices are better and the FRIED DUMPLINGS ARE BOMBDOTCOM! PROS: - good selection of meats on both menus. Brisket and tiger belly was so tender our fav. - the spicy ramen was tasty!
