Was really hoping this would be it for good Korean Chinese restaurant in Diamond Bar area. Unfortunately it fell flat and the search continues. The jajangmyeon sauce was decent. The noodles were different from the typical jajangmyeon noodles. They were thicker more like udon noodles. The tangsuyook was subpar, meat was tough and batter wasn't as light/crispy (however I did have this to go so that may have impacted the texture). Shrimp fried rice was mostly rice and came with 5 shrimp. Typically banchan such as radish, kimchi, or onion are included but there were no side dishes with my order. It's convenient to order since it's inside the super Hmart but if you want good Korean Chinese, you'll need to go elsewhere. read more

It is located inside a H mart. We ordered a jjambbong combo (jjambbong + sweet & sour pork) and jja jang myeon (not pictured) and shared between two of us and it was a good size for two people. Jjamppong - I was very surprised how good it was. My husband thought the same It is one of the best jjamppongs I had in US. Definitely recommended! Sweet and sour pork - another recommended menu. The outside is so crispy yet also chewy. Jja jang myeon - compared to other dishes, this one was just meh. I probably won't order it again. For fast casual, I would have to give them a thumbs up. Jajangmeon was really tasty and love how the food was packed to go. I ordered set #2 which also came with spicy shrimp which was also tasty, but a bit chewy. Might have been due to the drive home so can't knock it down too much until I try it again freshly made. Sauce was amazing though. It's similar to sweet and sour but with an extra kick. Order took about 10 mins but lots to do and see in H Mart while you wait. The biggest knock may be that I ended up spending $30 on other items while I waited :) read more

We've tried some of the other spots before, but this was our first time here. Noticed quite a few other customers ordering the Jja Jang Myeon, so we decided to try it as well and got it to go. So I stopped by this spot while I was at H Mart for some dinner. The food took about 15 mins to prepare but I got to shop for groceries while I waited so that worked out. Newly opened inside H-mart, I saw that they had a jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk combo ($25) which is black bean noodles with ground pork and chopped onions in a fried, salty fermented soybean paste with wheat noodles. Tangsuyuk is crispy sliced deep fried pork with a thick, sweet sauce on the side with cucumbers, pineapples, and onions in it. They served a pork version which was crispy with a not too thick batter. The menu consists mainly of Korean-Chinese fushion, they also got jjampong which is a spicy seafood noodle soup. The staff is nice and the wait time was not long. read more

This is the second time I've tried this place. First time it was very good. There was a good amount of ingredients inside the soup. This time unfortunately is a miss. It tasted like a vegetarian soup. There was literally 2 pieces of squid and a tiny piece of meat, and a normal amount of vegetables. Very inconsistent. read more

This restaurant is located in the food court of a grocery store. We came towards the end of the night so seating was ample. It was hard to choose because everything looked appetizing, but I ordered number 6, the spicy beef soup, and chose noodles instead of rice because the noodles are hand made. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare but it was worth the wait because it was delicious. It arrived in a large bowl with 2 big beef bones. The meat was juicy and the marrow was savory. The soup was hearty and the noodles were thick and had perfect bite. It came with a side of kimchi and radish and cilantro for garnish. The spicy paste was placed on the side so you could add it to your desire, but I have to say that the soup and the beef was already very flavorful without it. The portion size is perfect for the price and you could even share this with another person if you wanted, though I finished it all on my own because I'm simply voracious. I saw a lot of people coming by to pick up to go orders so this seems like a popular place with repeat customers. I'll definitely return soon to try the other dishes. read more

I've tried so many restaurants' Jajangmyeon in the past, and I can honestly say Red Dragon has one of the best tasting Jajangmyeon out there. Also, their sweet & sour pork was very good as well! One thing that I agree with a recent reviewer is that the noodles may be just a little mushy or over cooked. But that's just me, others may like it like that. I've yet to try their Gan Jajangmyeon. Wish there's a Gan Jajangmyeon/S&S pork combo. Anyway, I'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

This is the place you should go if you are JJam BBong lover. JJam Bbong is exceptionally good compared to other famous franchise JJamg BBong restaurants that I used to go to. It was spicy, but I like spicy so it was good too, but they said they will adjust the spiciness if you ask to make it a little less spicy. By the way, I recommend a little less spicy, even though I will keep spicy JJam BBong. GREAT PLACE !! read more

I had the absolute pleasure of eating Jjam ppong and tang soo yook (sweet and sour pork) at Red Dragon today! It's a nice addition to the food court at Hmart in Diamond Bar. The broth of Jjamppong was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. It was packed with an array of fresh seafood, good noodles, and veggies. As a Korean, I can say their sauce for tang soo yook was not too sweet, not too sour, just a perfect balance. The crispy pork pieces were crunchy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. They went really well with the sweet and sour sauce. I'll definitely come back here to try Jja jang myun next time. The interior was a more empty feeling space but maybe it was because it was just empty on a Saturday evening. The food itself was honestly just okay. I have had some curry udon in the past, but it just feels like this was a packaged curry with udon noodles and sausage. This was not worth the price. Same with the spicy rice cakes. The sauce and soup was solid, but a bit too much tang and it felt more like a packaged rice cake you can buy from the store the cheese was melted at first, but it became hard quickly after. I don't think I'd recommend both of the items. The saving grace was the Korean fried chicken wings. These are good, the sauce was yummy, and the texture was great. I was disappointed because of the high remarks for this place.

And I'm so glad I did, as I may have found my new favorite bibimbap! After debating on the different offerings, I had to try the hot stone bibimbap, so I went for Hansol. The service was quick. The ambiance, of course, what you would expect from a grocery food court... nothing fancy. However, the food itself was as if ordered at a restaurant. It came with banchan, as expected; however, different from other places where I've had bibimbap, it came with a packet of seaweed and a beef broth (which I originally thought was tea). I'm so glad to have tried this because this means I won't have to drive to Arcadia when I'm in need of H Mart groceries while simultaneously hungry for good Korean food.

At the end they gave us the sugared sweet potatoes which was a treat. Haven't had that in a long time so brought back childhood memories.

Our party of 5 was seated almost right away. If you've ever been to Baekjeong, it's pretty similar. They have sets you can choose from and the quality of the meats are really premium.
