Came here for lunch and it was surprisingly empty. We got the Rose Pasta and also the spicy wings. The pasta was really creamy and good flavor. As for the wings, make sure you can handle heat if you order the hot and spicy flavor. I'm a heat seeker and this is definitely one of the spicier wings I've had locally. I'd give it 8 out of 10 in terms of heat. The flavor is great though. Even though I was breaking a sweat and my nose was almost running, I couldn't stop eating them. Not greasy, nice crunch, and good size to the wings. I'd definitely recommend this place. Hopefully business picks up during lunch time cause in my opinion, they're one of the better options around Rockville to eat at. read more

This used to be Pelicana chicken but got renamed to Seoul Kitchen. They still have Pelicana chicken on their menu, so that remains. This is a solid spot and has a lot of variety in their menu. I would probably focus on the hot pot section as most people dining here ordered them. We tried their budae jjigae- it was pretty good - just wish you could add tofu to this dish. Had tons of spam, sausages, beans and ramen noodles. I also saw people eating the jjimdak - now, that looked great. Will have to give that a try. My daughter loves their rose rice cake dish - nice and creamy with lots of fish cakes and rice cakes. The Pelicana chicken was good, but I still like Bonchon a little better for KFC. They have lots of soju and beer - a good place to drink and eat some budae jjigae. read more

Went with a friend a few nights ago to grab some food and it's a pretty casual but really good spot for some late night Korean food. Went with the bulgolgi bimbimbap which was pretty good. A decent portion size I could barely finish but I would say not enough protein in comparison to then portion of veggies. read more

Seoul Kitchen is truly one of my go-to spots that serves authentic Korean, creative Korean fusion dishes, AND a DIY ramen bar with the most generous service! After visiting many times, I can confidently say that they actually never disappoint and every single visit has been consistently AMAZING! My absolute favorite dish on their menu is the jjimdak. They serve this dish just like how it would be in Korea, served boiling hot! I love this tender braised chicken dish and how the glass noodles soak up all of the delicious sauce, truly addicting and something I'm definitely ordering over and over again. More of my repeated orders include their extremely crispy Korean fried chicken and chili shrimp, just SO GOOD! What always brings me back to Seoul Kitchen is how they continue to innovate with new menu items while maintaining the quality I've come to expect after my first visit. Some of their newest menu items I recently tried were the mussel cream pasta, rosé pasta, and rosé risotto. I'm a huge fan of the creamy pastas with a hint of spice that balances out the richness of the dishes. Beyond the food, the service is also so friendly and attentive! The owners and staff truly make sure each visit feels welcoming and enjoyable. It's very rare to find a place that delivers such consistent quality time after time, in addition to a place with an evolving creative menu. I've been here a few times for lunch, and I've enjoyed it every time. The space isn't very large, but I usually go right when they open, so there are always plenty of tables available, which is a big plus when dining with coworkers during lunch hour. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions. They also have a great lunch menu with generous portions; I can never finish my meal. A place I've been wanting to try and finally did and ended up coming 2 weekends in a row.. lol. First time, we ordered Seoul ramen unlimited toppings, cheese balls, half/half wings of soy garlic and sweet/spicy. Second visit, got some ramen again, mozzarella/ buldak corn dogs and spicy squid rice bowl. The ramen was definitely fun to do, where you pick ramen and add all the toppings at the bar and voila put on the boiling water machine :): Cheese balls was ahmazing and for the wings, prefer sweet/spicy over the soy, but that's just preference. The spicy squid rice bowl was hot and def good amount of spicy! Will be coming back to try other things on the menu most definitely! Although the DMV has a huge variety of cuisines to choose from, since I moved here over four years ago, I had not yet found a replacement for my favorite Korean bar back in Texas, home of fruity sojus that will knock you on your ass and super spicy Dak Galbi (among other things). I might have found that now after visiting Seoul Kitchen, although we visited on a Sunday at lunchtime so didn't partake of the booze to validate that first point. They did have a lot of our Korean bar food staples on the menu though. When we visited we didn't want to go too far off the rails so we shared a bulgogi bibimbap and a tteokbokki. Both were good, but the tteokbokki was better. We didn't try the rose one, we had the classic, and it hit the spot though we forgot to order cheese (we put cheese on the leftovers at home). Portions were very generous, we had a lot of leftovers. There are so many other things on the menu I want to try here. We may need to get a Lyft though so that we can try the sojus, because I'm sure neither of us want to be designated driver that day. Rating may go up depending on how our future meals go. read more

My family and I have frequented this establishment, I want to say maybe 3-4 times alone this month. I am a big Asian cuisine fan and absolutely love how authentic (in my opinion) the food tastes here. Of course I have never traveled to Korea, so my version of authentic can differ from someone who has had actual authentic Korean food, but I can say that I do love me some Korean food and this place has got to be top 5 for me. The wings are great. Perfectly crispy and saucy. However, the spicy soy garlic was far from spicy... which is disappointing. I'd like a spicy wing when I order a spicy wing lol and the garlic taste was very faint. The half pound of wings is HUGE! It's good enough for 2-3 people. We have tried different dishes and my favorite is the spicy pork rice bowl with a side of kimchi. I can definitely say that the times we have been there, the food is good but it's not consistent. Sometimes the food comes out different than other times. For example, we ordered some dumplings and they were SOGGY!!! It really wasn't that good. But we ate them because we don't like to return food or waste food. So I think they really need to work on their consistency. But this doesn't deter us from coming back. I really like this place and next time I want to try the hot pot! read more

Arrived as soon as they opened, location and paid parking were not bad. Close enough to the Rockville courthouse. Decorations were very cute even an area for social media posting. It was a tad bit cold inside - heater wasn't quiet up and running that early. The food are very tasty and server (Noah) was pretty attentive. My son wanted so tteok for appetizer - good but wished it was spicy. We then ordered 10 piece soy garlic chicken, spicy pork rice bowl and spicy bulgogi bibimbap with fried dumplings. Again, everything tasted so good but for me needs a little more kick. They also have shelves of ramen for you to choose from to eat there. We will back to try more items in the menu. We were pleasantly surprised at the food. It is an odd feeling to walk through what appears to be a snack shop with instant noodles however, once you get past that the table still remind me of the old Woodside deli, but the vibe is definitely K-pop. We enjoyed eating the army stew, which includes spam Ramen noodles. The only thing missing was tofu. The rose rice cake dish was great, not too spicy but with lots of flavor. My daughter really liked the corn cheese dog. The server was pleasant and came by just enough to refill our waters. We liked it so much. My family did carry out a few nights later. read more

It's super cheap and the servings are huuuge. Also, this is easily the best rice cake I've had here in Maryland (Yes, even better than the ones in Annandale). This place is made for hanging out, eating food and having drinks. We went the after midnight and everything was amazing. Not sure what to do late on a weekend night? Need a place to pregame before a night out? This is the place. I recommend the rose tteok-bokki, the fries, and the corn cheese. Draft beer comes in a nice cold mug too. Ever since this changed from Pelicana, the food overall has gone down. Everything is so sweet. Tteokbokki tastes and looks terrible as if it was made by someone who doesn't know what ttekbokki is. Chicken teriyaki rice bowl is also way too sweet. Dumplings were too salty and sweet again. Fried chicken is too sweet too. And chicken tastes like it has been fried multiple times. While the service is still friendly and nice, it is not enough for me to go back. Please re-evaluate how you cook your food. Everything we ate were absolutely disgustingly sweet. read more
