Heard great things about this place online and decided to come give it a try. Overall, I was expecting higher quality of meats and more traditional KBBQ, but everything we ordered was way too seasoned /salty which makes it hard to taste the flavors of the meats. For me, part of the fun of KBBQ is also eating the meats with the sauces and fresh vegetables, making little bites. However, when the meats are heavily seasoned, the salad came pre-dressed, and the grilled vegetables came pre-salted...that's just too much. we didn't end up using any of the dipping sauces+salt provided and had to drink so much water and ended up ordering some white rice to balance all the salt. I did really like some of the sides we ordered! Highlights were the beef soup+glass noodles, kimchi, and steamed egg. I also didn't love provided with disposable utensils and paper cups. Not only does it downgrades the experience, for a setting that using such high heat... having plastic spoons laying around just doesn't make sense. The servers were all very attentive, nice, and fast. We got there a bit early for dinner and by the time we headed out the place was packed. This place was very lively and it seemed many love it. I dont want my review taken the wrong way. This place for Utah is necessary and will lead to more places which will drive competition. Personally I loved the marinated short rib but otherwise I wasn't a huge fan. I've been to too many places in LA to know what great is and this was a spot trying to be good. We went to Seoul Meat Co. last night excited to try it, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the start and only got worse afterward. We arrived around 8:30 PM and stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before being greeted. When the hostess finally came over, her first comment was, "We close at 9:30," which felt odd since it was still well before closing. Around us, staff were already focused on cleaning and closing while guests were still eating, which made us feel more like an inconvenience than customers. We ended up leaving and going next door to Benihana, where the experience was completely different. We were welcomed, seated, and had a full dinner service. What made this more disappointing is that after sharing our experience, I was told by an owner that I was lying about our arrival time. I know what time we got there. Instead of acknowledging a customer who felt unwelcome, being accused of lying only made the situation worse. I don't usually leave reviews like this, but the experience and how it was handled afterward was very disappointing. Was excited to try a new Restauraunt and excited to see they were open till 9:30pm. Arrived at 8:34 only to wait a few minutes to be greeted, only be told by the staff that they close at 9:30pm and seemed inconvenienced. We left to eat next door at Benihanas and had a great time pre-gaming, eating a 5 course meal, and enjoying the welcoming atmosphere. Visited this place with friends and our kids. The price point was reasonable for our party of 9. They were able to accommodate us about 1 hour before closing. There was a variety of food choices that all of party could enjoy. The meat was tasty and the sides (banchans) were tasty. They did not have rice paper which was disappointing. Seoul Meat is located in a newer and modern mall in Revierton, UT. The restaurant is almost a steampunk energy to it. Our server seemed a bit upset and like she didn't want to be there...but aside from that, it's an AMAZING KBBQ place. For Utah, Seoul Meat delivers the delicious korean barbecue meals. Authentic, flavorful, and unbeatable. We got practically everything that this menu had to offer, with it being $40 all you can eat ! I truly cannot rave about this place enough, it is hard to find good asian food in utah that doesn't feel overly americanized. It is so worth upgrading to the premium dinner. The Asado was so amazing and all of the meat was well seasoned. The crazy part is that the sides were so good that we ordered as many sides as we did meat. The steamed egg was so fluffy and if you poured the fondue over the egg and ate it with the chuck eye steak it was heaven. The high quality of the food made the price a bargain. This was a hard review to write. We decided after trying several times to get to Seoul Meat to try again tonight. We got there when they opened for dinner at 5pm. We were greeted by a very friendly man at the host desk and after very short explanation (unsatisfactory) we were seated. The next thing that happened was like being dive bombed. People would walk past our table and drop things off. They just showed up at such a high speed. We'd never been here before and it was weird!! We had no idea what the thing in the middle of the table was, nor the little tray of dips were for, and all of a sudden a salad was there. It was crazy. Zoom something on the table. Zoom zoom two more things thrown at us. We just stared at each other wondering what the heck was going on. Finally our extremely unfriendly server showed up. When I say unfriendly, I mean verging on inpatient and mean. When we told her we hadn't been here before I thought she would role her eyes so hard she'd break them. Seriously she was about of an unpleasant person as I'd have ever met. Finally we got an understanding of how to order and we ordered the meats she suggested. It was a good start. We also ordered a side of onions and mushrooms and they needed to go on the hot cooker on the table (as does all the meat). Then other salads came and it was interesting trying to decide which was supposed to be cooked at the table and what wasn't. AND THERE WAS NO EXPLANATION just more scowls from our server. Overall the food was really good. It was an interesting experience. If you want friendly attentive service you'll get it better at McDonald's than here. So food was a 4 Service a 1 Will I go back? Likely. Things to know. Two menus with different prices. You have two hours to eat all you can/want No take home. Leftover meat comes with a $25 up charge so order meat carefully. Nice set up, in a nice area. Service was okay. Wait was about double what they told us it would be. Drinks only come in cans and are not refillable. We got the more expensive option thinking that the torched wagyu nigiri was something we could get each round. It is not. You get one small piece per full paying person. Aside from that let down, the food was very good. The ribeye was excellent, the Asada was okay. The Wagyu nigiri was ok, too much sauce. They didn't refill our water once. The kimchi was good, the sides are unlimited and mostly tasty. The tofu soup was mid at best, the truffle fries weren't good. The rice/kimchi/cucumber kimchi and pickled radish were very good. The glass noodles and fried rice weren't great. Overall, this place was good, not worth the 30 minute drive for us. read more

Tried Seoul Meat Korean BBQ for the first time today by recommendation of a friend. It was really good! The meat selection had a ton of variety. We tried the Truffle Parmesan Pork Belly and it was AMAZING; just like the Server said it would be. It was pretty empty at 1 PM for lunch. But they have a lot of tables. The Korean sides were pretty authentic. Service was very prompt and friendly. Every version of meat we had was very tender and flavorful. We'll definitely be back. read more

My family loved this place. We brought our 20-year old twins and they had a blast ordering all the options and cooking them. I am not a huge meat eater but they had a lot of vegetables and sides as well. Our server was fantastic at making suggestions. Seoul Meat is a meal and an experience! You get to cook your own meat at your table-something that's fun, unless you prefer someone else to cook for you. But with the all you can eat format, it's a no brainer for someone who wants to eat a lot. And boy, can you eat a lot here. In fact, that would be my only complaint-the portion sizes are massive! I'd prefer smaller portions so I can try lots of different things. The stars of the show were the beef bulgogi and the glass noodles. That alone would have been enough to fill us up, but we ordered a bunch of other things, not realizing they were such large portions. Next time, we'll stick to 1-2 meats and not over do it. Service is great and the atmosphere is open, bright and fun. There's an energy in the place that is hard to describe, but it's got a feeling of community and interaction, even though you're only really interacting with your own party. Went in with a friend group and the food was really good! I've only had Korean BBQ once before and this place was SO much better. They even had beef tongue. Changing my review after reading their health inspections. They clearly don't care to meet sanitary requirements. They had 7 critical, 6 non-critical violations last year. Instead of resolving them they added more this year: 8 critical, 13 non critical violations. read more

For charging us $45 a person, they be cheap as F. They are slow to take everyone's order and they limit the amount of meat they bring to your table. The sides are awesome , definitely loved the cheesy Korn and steamed egg, the rice portion is personal. The bulgogi was our favorite and the short ribs were thick . Party of 5 on a Tuesday evening was a perfect idea for my group. A couple first timers and we were very happy with our choice. This place is a bit more pricier than other KBBQ spots in SLC county, but I definitely feel the quality of the meat shines here. We left full, maybe a bit too much, and ready for a nap! This is a AYCE spot. We got the option that was $45.99. Lots to choose from for meats and sides; and of course, I chose gyoza and corn cheese because why not? I am a sides girl. Cheese corn was okay, cheese fondue was okay but went well with my meat that I dipping in it. I didn't order the meat as my sister did the ordering for us. The parmesan pork belly and curry pork belly were so good! Marinated beef, kalbi, fried chicken were also really good. Rice was okay, salad was an option as well. My sister used the lettuce from the salad for her meat since getting lettuce on the side wasn't an option (to use in place of rice). My sisters got a couple different soju which they said was okay. Service was quick - especially to change the grill. All but one server was polite, but she wasn't rude...just looked like "I don't want to be here" type of personality. Quick to remove used dishes and garbage. I can only remember one of the servers refilling our water pitcher once. Bill is able to be split according to table preference. We came here on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy so we were able to sit down quickly. We got the middle option which has a great amount of selections. We got pork belly, pork jowls, beef belly, beef short ribs, shrimp, corn cheese, steamed egg, and tofu soup. Surprisingly it was all really good. We also enjoyed their salad with their house vinaigrette. The meat was super thick which I enjoyed personally as it doesn't dry out the meat while it's on the grill. The steamed egg was super good as well as the soft tofu soup. Our waiter, Lehi was amazing. He was attentive and constantly checked on us. We were celebrating a birthday and forgot candles, he came back to our table with candles and saved the day. We loved the service he provided. I came with a large group on a weekday night, we had 10 people so we ended up having to split up which was fine. But if you have over 8 people it will be hard for you guys to sit together. They have 2 menus to choose from, we chose the $35 one. They have a great selection of meats to choose from, and their meat quality is the best out of everything that I have tried so far in Utah. I really liked their marinated finger rib meat, and their beef tongue. The steamed egg was also super delish. The corn cheese came in a great serving size! I was too involved in my conversation and not able to try all the meats, but I will definitely be back to try everything. They have a great atmosphere inside, and the fan / ventilation works really well, since it is placed directly over the grill I didn't feel as stinky as I usually do when I leave KBBQ. Reminds me of being back home where Korean BBQ was EVERYWHERE. Came on a Saturday evening and was seated right away. Loved how spacious the restaurant was and liked the darker vibe. Everything was very clean and orderly. Super helpful and courteous staff. They were always walking by asking if we needed anything. Got the BBQ chicken, bulgogi, pork jowl, brisket and SMC steak. Everything was awesome, but really recommend the bulgogi and chicken BBQ if you're wondering which meat to get. I've been eyeing this place! Love Korean bbq! If you never have had Korean bbq where you cook your meat. I always tell people to try it atleast one time. Don't let the price tag scare you. You get all you can eat meat for 2 hours. You can only order 3 at a time and some of the sides are free Salad, rice, veggies, kimchi, japche (glass noodles) We walked in and were presented two menus. One for soft opening (35)other had more specialty meats (50) Went with soft opening since it had the bulgolgi and brisket It was 3 of us. Waiter immediately went through the menu. Very friendly. We ordered our three meats sides and drinks and came out within 2-5 min. We started cooking our meat. Bulgogi and brisket is good! Brisket is not season but they give you three dipping sides ( salt, chili, soy sauce or I think it was sesame seed oil? ) Pork jowl is also recommended we liked it. We also order chicken bbq last and was good. Different staff came by and asked if we were ok? Cleaning up. Changing the grill if needed The only thing is they gave you plastic forks and cups? Is this for soft opening only? The kimchi was good, cucumber kimchi is my fave. They gave us the bill and charged us only for one person! A newcomer to the KBBQ scene in salt lake, but quickly on the top end of those existing. Salt lake's still waiting for their breakthrough KBBQ restaurant, but for now, Seoul Meat will do. Their bulgogi wasn't great - if my rating were based on this alone they'd get 3 stars, but at least you couldn't taste the freezer burn on it (*cough cough Kou*) thankfully their thicker cuts of unmarinated meat were great. They set a limit on how many orders you can get of certain costlier dishes, otherwise we'd probably have just stuck to those, which as you could guess, are better. I can't remember what they titled it on the menu, but a prime beef cut with rosemary, butter and salt on top was my favorite, though not especially Korean. Wait staff were attentive throughout, which is important at a place like this, and we even observed them instructing less familiar groups how to manage KBBQ workflow. read more

This place looks incredible, it is in a great location and is well maintained and clean. The staff was quick and helpful and we were seated quite quickly for lunch. Lunch is very limited on their meat options. There were only 3 beef options and the pork options were essentially just spicy pork bulgogi and pork belly with different flavors like green tea or garlic. I'll be honest, the meat was quite good and I was impressed with the quality of the meat. The side dishes were alright with our favorite being the steamed egg. I didn't really like the sauces they gave us as the ssamjjang seemed a bit too sweet and the spicy sauce just seemed like Mae ploy sweet chili sauce but other than that the meal was mostly enjoyable. My biggest gripes are that I was served SPOILED MEAT. Towards the end of my meal I ordered the beef bulgogi and was given a heaping portion of it. I didn't realize it was spoiled until I cooked a large portion of it and took a couple of bites. The meat was completely sour. I went back to the raw meat and took a whiff and gagged as the stench of rotten meat was overwhelming. When I told my waiter about this, they took it back and offered to give me a free drink. I don't believe a free soft drink is sufficient compensation for being served foul meat. read more

Five (four and a baby) of us came for dinner on a Wednesday night and we were all so impressed! You couldn't tell they were still in their soft opening phase because it seemed like everything ran smoothly, at least on the front end. They originally sat us in a booth, but moved us to a table because we needed a high chair and it can't block the grill buttons. Safety first! They were attentive and changed our grill multiple times. The meat quality is 10/10! Not only in taste but in portion. They allow you to order three meats at a time, but as many sides as you want. Our favorites were the beef brisket as it wasn't too fatty, the steak which was juicy and had great flavor, the truffle fries, and the pork belly. We ordered a side of the cheese fondue as we've never had it for Korean bbq before... game changer! Especially with the pork! Such a yummy twist and we ordered it all night. The only banchan we ordered was kimchi and cucumbers. The kimchi was delicious and not too sour. I hope they add to their banchan options. All their utensils and cups are plastic and the chopsticks are the wood ones. I love that they have the fan above the grill, but it was so low it was hard to turn the big pieces of meat. Drove an hour to try this place. Bright spots: tasty ribeye steak, chuck eye steak, top blade steak. Kalbi was decent but the bulgogi was a bit gristly. The vegetable side dishes left much to be desired - although the place is named Seoul Meat - not Seoul Panchan (Korean vegetable side dish). The kimchi in particular was sort of so so and rice served in a paper cup was a bit of a let down. Our waitress started out a bit grumpy but ended up being more friendly by the end. Clean ambiance but the door to the men's bathroom wouldn't close because the door stopper wouldn't stay up. The water in the bathroom sink was ICE COLD too. (Guess that's okay if you need a drink). Don't know if I'd drive an hour again but we enjoyed dinner. Also, don't sit at the first row of tables in the winter time. Every time someone opens the door you get blasted with cold air. read more

Cut it into small pieces and eat one by one. The perfect combination of charred fragrance and tenderness is particularly satisfying Wagyu sushi: This dish is roasted on the spot by the waiter, and it is tempting to watch the roasting process! The meat is tender and melts in your mouth. It tastes very delicious. I would absolutely recomend this place over and over again. I have tried several Korean BBQ's, and this is by far the best one. The quality of the meat is great but the sides are even better. The house salad, onion salad, kimchi to name a few are amazing and a very good flavor. The fatty beef brisket is the best. The service is top notch. Update: I appreciate that Kai from Seoul Meat Co. took the time to personally respond to my review and acknowledge what happened. His message was thoughtful and showed accountability, and I understand that the staff were following policy when we arrived close to closing. That said, my main concern was how the interaction at the door was handled. The person we spoke with didn't seem empathetic and came off dismissive when we asked about being seated. Even if seating wasn't possible, a little courtesy and communication would've made a big difference in how the situation felt. I also noticed several other reviews mentioning similar experiences with staff coming across as rude or unwelcoming. I really hope that's something the team continues to work on, because the food looks great and I'd love to come back if the overall guest experience improves read more

Actually quite surprised by the quality and options of this restaurant! They have a huge selection of meats and side dishes which I really liked. When you first come in, you have the option to choose the standard meal ($38.99) or the premium menu (~$43.99 idr) which includes wagyu, but my table went with standard. We were a bit overwhelmed with the choices but found ourselves liking the marinated short ribs, beef brisket belly, bulgogi, thinly sliced pork belly, and garlic butter shrimp! As for sides, the steam eggs and corn cheese are a must, but the truffle fries and glass noodles were also really good! The service was amazing! Our server was super friendly and gave us recommendations that he circled on the menu for us, and the other staff were quick to change our grill when needed! It's located in a plaza, so there's a lot of parking available. The restaurant itself is also huge with plenty of tables and enough to prob host big groups/ parties!
