I'll start with this place is new so I'll give them some slack. With that said the service wasn't great, the double fried chicken came out quick and was lukewarm, it felt like it was made it earlier and it had been sitting under a warmer. Enjoyed the food, flavorful and fresh. We had the kielbasa app. Dynamite shrimp and seoul rice. I asked for a bowl of ramen and the waitress said it's not possible which I thought was very odd. Food was ok but the service was terrible, I waited over an hour for my food. I'm the end I didn't get all the food I ordered and just canceled the simple order of bibimbap and left. It was abit busy and perhaps the kitchen staff was understaffed. But waiting that long for my food for something that shouldn't take that long.... They are a new restaurant and needs a lot of work with their young wait staff in bringing the food out to the right customers. My family took me for my birthday, we heard about it and wanted to try it. I will not go back. It took 1 hour to get our food, and one person in our party didn't get theirs. They brought the food out one dish at a time, not together. They brought out the wrong dish and when we sent it back they didn't ask why they just took it, we thought they would bring the correct one but didn't come back. Had to ask to speak with the manager who doesn't have a clue how to manage. Said the kitchen was backed up even though the couple tha came and sat after us got served before us and ordered the same items that we were told would take awhile. We ate at this newly opened Korean restaurant because our 9-year old demanded bibimbap and had a terrific meal - wonderfully crispy and flavorful gyoza and very yummy kimchi pancake to start. Bibimbap was sizzling with crunchy golden rice at the bottom, and really tasty. Kalbi and fried chicken were also very good! The service is solid, but they're still working out the kinks that come with opening a new restaurant - but go, be patient, have a second cocktail (I recommend the S'Negroni made with Shoju), enjoy the K-Pop videos...it's absolutely worth the wait. read more

We dined at Seoul Providence on a Sunday a few weeks back. We went because IG had so many brunch items listed. Finding the building was hard as the address was really around the corner. Luckily, there was street parking. When we went to order the brunch from IG, we were told they don't serve ANY brunch items and social media was going to be updated. HIGHLY Recommend!!! The food was delicious! We had the chicken wings and the udon noodles! Definitely coming back as the restaurant is a whole vibe! This is a fairly new restaurant. I attempted to try it out prior but at the time I guess because they were newer there was no availability and it was pretty early in the evening maybe 7-7:30 pm. They were very apologetic so we decided to try again. The food was wonderful! Salmon was crispy and cooked to perfection, the rice was also flavorful as well. Service was a little slow but other than that the food, ambiance, decor, drinks were on point. read more

A friend of mine and I  attempted to eat there yesterday. We specifically asked for a seat the farthest away from the door when requesting a seat. The host said it'll be a half hour to an hour wait. No biggie we sat at the bar to get a drink. Received the call that a table was ready and it was the table sitting directly in front of the door. I asked her if we could be seated away from the door. At this time there's 4 open tables she could've chosen from but she told us we'd have to wait again. We thought the wait would be about 10 minutes but nope she sat 2 parties before I went up and asked how much longer the wait would be she stated that the table was being cleaned off now. Another 10 minutes go by and nothing. So I asked again about how much longer and she said the computer said there was somebody cleaning off the table now, I pointed over there and said nobody has been over there to clear off the table. She offered us another table so I go back to my friend to see if it was okay. Before I could answer yes or no to the host she was already seating someone at the table she just offered us. We waited a over an hour she didn't check on us once so we ended up leaving. I've only been once so luckily this was not my first experience but will probably be my last because it was such a shitty experience. It was my friend first experience and I had to apologize to her. This is not a way to get or keep business it's bad enough the parking situation sucks and we had to walk a couple of blocks on the 16 degree weather. I feel like the host got mad we didn't want to sit next to the door in this freezing cold weather so her tactic was to make us wait. Which eventually drove the business you would've received away. I don't think it was a hard request we had a valid reason for not wanting to sit next to the door and freeze while we tried to enjoy our food. Not sure if I will be coming back as the customer service sucked. Also at the bar we were asked if we wanted a drink we asked if we could have a couple of minutes. A couple of minutes turned to 20 minutes and no she was not that busy behind the bar, nobody was ordering drinks the entire time we waited, yet we still didn't get nasty or give attitude to anyone. We took our business to Mokbhan instead fast friendly service, sat down as soon as we arrived and appetizers were out within 20 minutes of us being there. read more

We regularly eat at Asian restaurants so we thought we'd give Seoul a try. The interior is very clean but not very Asian inspired and very club like, if you're into that, they even had a dj. However it's cold and loud, the front door doesn't close properly which probably contributes to the temperature. The service was good, as you would expect, though the appetizers came out seconds before the entrees and we never got a receipt for our meal. The deal breaker and most important aspect was the food, it was poor. Bland compared to any other Asian restaurant that we've been to, similar to what you would expect at the mall. The food came out so fast that it must be an assembly line in the kitchen instead of individually made dishes. Overly salted edamame, Tteok and cheese that was mostly cheese and noodle dishes that tasted identical despite being different dishes. For people that don't normal eat Asian food or don't like spicy, then this would be sufficient to make them satisfied but with the variety of amazing Asian food in Providence this would not be place I would recommend. read more

My partner and I drove an hour away to try the food here cause it looked amazing online. Lets just say this is the Ultimate Catfish of restaurants. The service was lacking. We both come from the food industry so we know how things work . Let's just say I would not treat my customers the way we were serviced here. We were sat and not greeted right away we waited about 10mins before we were even greeted. Customers that were sat 20mins after us were served with apps before us. Our server didn't come to check on us we felt ignored. After I spoke to a manager to see if we could get our app it didn't come in till 30mins after we ordered it. Manager didn't offer to take it off our bill it was a cheap appetizer or even just offer us a small dessert or a drink something to apologize for the lack of service. The food did not look as advertised at all. Don't waste your time if you're driving out to try this place. read more

My favorite place for kimchi jjigae is Kaju in Allston, MA but I've yet to find somewhere in Providence that comes close--this does! Great heat, lots of kimchi, meat, and veggies, and an egg cracked in (nowhere in Providence does this and it's one of the highlights, especially popping the yolk over the rice ). Huge portion for $18, at least 4 cups of the jjigae in one of the large takeout soup containers. I did ask for beef and got pork but it was still delicious, would just be mindful if you aren't able to eat a certain meat. Only thing I would say is that the rice was a long grain, maybe basmati or jasmine? A less fragrant, short grain rice would be better! The phone number initially wasn't working when I tried to call to order but whoever manages their Yelp account was super friendly and responsive and the phone issue was resolved quickly. Will have to try in person and check out their other items. I'll definitely be frequenting this place! read more

Don't understand why this place has a 3.5 rating. The food taste great and the portion was more than enough. The service was amazing everyone is tuned in to see if you're in need of anything. Overall not impressed. Went with a couple people to enjoy dinner and try a new place. They seemed understaffed and unorganized. The server took 15 minutes to bring napkins and a soda. The food that served by a runner was barely warm. The taste was good though. This place is Amazing!!. Authentic, high quality, delicious food. Staff and service was fast and great employees working here. The drinks were sooo good too. Negroni was perfect. Finally got a baby sitter to get a date night. We chose to come to Seoul Providence again because the food is delicious! This time, we ordered the pear-ly martini which is amazing. We had 3 rounds. lol I asked for an extra splash of lychee juice to make it a little sweeter. The tuna carpaccio is amazing and tastes clean and fresh. The seoul fried rice was amazing as always. The fried egg is extra crispy on the outside with a soft yolk and perfectly marries the texture of the fried rice. Ask for an extra egg. The Kalbi is tender and flavorful. Definitely a must order during each visit. Sorry, no pics as we were too hungry. read more
