Ordered from DoorDash for lunch. Food arrived fresh and was still in order. I will order again and do recommend. The Elote Corn Quesadilla was a new one to try and did not disappoint. I ordered popcorn chicken just in case and they were fresh and tasty also.
I don't know if we were so hungry from flying from hawaii but the food was SOOOO good!!!! We did family style but the service was so fast and the food was delicious!!! Highly recommend the bulgoggi quesadilla and the nachos!!!
Looked up this place and noticed it was right around the corner from the Godfrey where I was staying. Came to check it out and was blown away. Ordered a chicken burrito and I must say it's one of the best-tasting burritos I have ever had. The burrito was huge. This spot had a really chill, laid-back atmosphere. Can definitely come here and hang out for a good vibe. Service was friendly and quick. Great mashup of Mexican and South Korean culinary greatness. If staying in the downtown Chicago area, then it is definitely a try if you're in the mood for tacos and burritos!
Omgoodness. So much yum! We went a few weeks ago for a meet and greet. They were SO busy but the food was AhMazing. So we went back with our son and his fiancée to eat again. So yummy. We've had the burrito, the gogi bowl, the Korean fried chicken, rice cake on a stick, rice cake and sausage on a stick and the kimbap. The ONLY thing I wouldn't order again is the kimbap. Cuz I feel like I make it better at home OR I can get it just as good as them in a Korean grocery store for WAY cheaper. The service is ALWAYS super nice. You do have to find parking. We've used the Spot Hero app and have been fine. BUT you do have to pay for parking.
I wish there were more "fast food" spots like this one- with more flavorful bites with different sauces to try. The service was appropriate and accommodating, possibly because there weren't too many people waiting. You truly get such a big bite for what you pay for. I chomped through my burrito, but I could've easily saved it for another meal. And it kept me full for the rest of my busy, active day. Would recommend grabbing as a late night meal or a quick brunch spot, but it's a must try if you have a location near you!
A bit salty but hits the sweet spot if you want a flavorful burrito. We ordered: - Burrito - Gogi Bowl - Chips & Salsa The burrito is hefty and will definitely knock you out.
(Kari's Rating 8.5/10) I've gotten soul taco a few times before as I live in River North, but I've never actually ordered the Bulgogi steak burrito. I always think when you take two cultures and mix them you're doing a little too much, but this burrito is actually perfect. The tortilla was soft and warm the Bulgogi and steak paired perfectly with the Sriracha mayo sauce it came with. The kimchi rice added a little bit of kick and the Bulgogi was sweet and tender. Overall, a very delightful review and I will be ordering this again. Thank Seoul Taco for changing my perspective on this restaurant.
Came here on Cinco de mayo which happens to be taco Tuesday. The tacos are $1.5 each on Tuesdays (max 6 per person). The tacos itself were very flavorful and packed however one thing I do have to mention is that it was very salty. I had three tacos but I barely finished 1. But for this price, I don't think it can be beat. I love the paintings on the wall and they had a lot of seating. The order seems like it took longer than expected but it wasn't long enough for me to complain.
We go here consistently! The food is really tasty and it's easy to order. The price is awesome too for fast casual. Sometimes it does take longer to get your order because it's such a popular place so maybe factor that in.
Got the chicken burrito here and it was very big. Flavor wise, it wasn't bad since it tasted like marinated chicken and kimchi fried rice. The tacos were pretty good too. The fried chicken I got was very crispy and I don't taste much of the chicken. The service was fast and overall a good place for the money.
One night me and my friends were walking around downtown late at night, starving. I peep this taco place is open until 4am so we slide because there's practically nothing else at that point. Listen man, I am a taco connoisseur. I adore authentic Mexican food. I also love some good Korean food once in a while. Beef bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes of all time. If you are also a fan of both you NEED to pull up to this location. These are some of the best tacos I've had in my entire life. No exaggeration.
I experience Seoul Tacos booth at Complex Con and they did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly and helped me decide on what I should eat. The food prices were good for the amount of food you get and I didn't wait long at all for my food. The tacos were sooooo good! Whatever they do to marinate the steak made it delicious! The elote bites were good but I wish they had a little less sauce on top. If this is what I can expect from the actual restaurant I'll definitely have to visit.

This is my last review of Chicago eats for now and this Korean / Mexican joint is worth checking out. This is also within walking distance from Hotel Felix. It's not a big place but there's plenty of seating for singles and groups. FYI, I love the interior design and decor especially the colorful radio and headphone ensembles. Ordering was simple. Go up to the counter, then select your taco, burrito, Gogi bowl, quesadilla or nachos and wait for your name to be called. I got tacos as usual w/ the bulgogi and spicy pork. They were pretty good. The meat was warm and chewy w/ a little kick and the shells were soft and didn't fall apart. The only thing about the meal was I didn't really taste anything different from one from another and they all looked the same. At least they were affordable. Only $2.50 each. Plus the food came out fast. read more

HECK. YES. This place is awesome. My favorite kind of food is asian/mexican fusion anyway, but Seoul Taco brought the A game. It's a super casual, order up at the counter type of spot, with funky and fun decor. Service was really friendly too. I ordered 3 different tacos for about $8 - super reasonable. I suspect they keep the cost down through consistency of the toppings. Because even though I ordered a different meat for each taco, the toppings for each were the same. Which totally worked! I liked the chicken taco best but the pork and tofu were also delicious! Super flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. So if you're in the mood for Korean tacos - definitely swing by. read more

I walk in and am greeted by the cashier who appeared to be high. He had no idea what he was doing and could hardly form sentences. On top of this, their interactive menu monitors weren't working. Nothing beats having no idea what's on the menu while trying to order food from someone who is baked out of their mind. After ordering, I joined 20 other people waiting around for their food. The workers seems dazed and confused and had no sense of urgency. Everyone dining in was greeted with brown to go boxes with their food on them. What a yummy treat to really enhance the customer experience. I'm not sure if this was an off night, but this legitimately was the worst dining service I've experienced In a decade. read more

Grab a bite from this place for the first time. Parking can be difficult so we decided to just order online and take home. Got the Gogi and Waffles (steak and chicken) and Gogi nachos with steak. The meat was marinated well but the portion was not enough. Too many chips and waffles compared to the meat! They should have added more sauce or bulgogi flavors or sauce to the chips so that its not dry. But overall, it was okay. read more

I went back for the bulgogi burrito and sweet potato waffle fries. They were both amazing as were the other items that I ordered in the past. This is a solid 3. I ordered the spicy pork gogi bowl (definitely needed the gochujang sauce for that kick. A bit too much rice) with the kimchi stew (surprisingly sour which I liked/wasn't expecting. I was expecting it to be mellow) while he ordered 3 tacos (he got the chicken, beef and spicy pork. Spicy pork was the best. He wished there was something crunchy like a slaw for texture), a spicy pork quesadilla and a side of kimchi fried rice (incredibly bland and soft. Definite no.) If you're in the area for a well priced meal, I'd say come on over. read more

There is something left to chance when you go to a Mexican restaurant for tacos: is the meat well seasoned? So, if it's basic then how is the salsa? Because I will eat just unseasoned meat on a tortilla if the salsa game is on point. Anyway, in the era of fusion the step toward putting absolutely any kind of meat in a corn tortilla is assumed, and I don't know about y'all but I just love me some overly sauces up cuts. Korean food provides this... Korean BBQ is one of my favorite saucy meat varieties and gochujang would make just about anything taste delicious. As far as inter-cultural foodstuffs go, Korean and Mexican are a great marriage: hot sauce, yummy meat, cilantro, jalapeños, rice-based things... it all makes sense. So it's not a long drive to assume putting Korean style meat on a corn tortilla would taste delicious. Seoul taco does just this... Korean style meats on corn tortillas with some mixed greens as a garnish. The meats are all well-seasoned, which is the original question, right? The prices are good... you can get a spread of three (pretty small) tacos for under ten bucks, and there is a good selection of additional Korean fixings you can grab up just to pad the experience. The interior of this restaurant was clean, adorned with hip hop inspired graffiti with a "used boomboxes and old headphones" theme. All in all a great late night craving spot or quick drop in for high quality fast casual. I could easily smash about four or five of these tacos and I weight about 160lb so if you're a big eater I would definitely grab 2 of the 3taco spreads. read more
Delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect... and honestly, my first bite left me doubting my choice. But! By the end, I was enjoying my tofu bowl so much that I kept trying to savor every single last kimchi fried rice morsel. My friends recommended this place and it does not disappoint. It's an inventive culinary combo with a really colorful decor. The staff was especially friendly and patient. I waited months to go here and it was worth the wait. I'd do it all over again! Well, well, well! Dope spot discovered here! Walk in and the art on the wall is awesome, music is playing dope joints from The Roots and other MCs, and the food smelled awesome. I loved the colorful walls and the boom boxes in the center...very cool The burrito was one of the best I've ever had. It included kimchi fried rice, lettuce, cheese carrots, green onions, sour cream and seoul sauces along with bulgogi steak. When I tell you every bit was awesome, I really mean it! This was something special to say the least. They have other options if you dont want to go with the burrito. They have tacos, quesadillas, bowls and nachos. The guys that work here are pretty cool and can let you know whats what with the place and they genuinely enjoy working here. Do yourself a favor and get your @$$ over here! read more
We got the set of 3 tacos for $8: pork, bulgogi, and chicken. Pork was delicious and quite spicy as well. Bulgogi was well-marinated and tender. Chicken was also quite good! They are all topped with a really nice spicy mayo(?) sauce and well garnished with greens. Taco shells were just the usual. It can get really messy so grab a lot of napkins. I'd also say it's moderately filling, so maybe you can also share a side between two people if you're hungry. read more
Honestly shout out to Seoul Taco for being open late for drunchies!! My friends and I were visiting Chicago and had a few drinks. However, we were getting hungry and it was 1am in the morning... not many places were open for any of our cravings. But Seoul Taco was!! Bless them!! We trekked a few blocks from city center to this lil Korean fusion. The bulgogi tacos and side of kimchi rice is what we opted for. They were deliciousssss and pretty cheap for what it was. The inside of the joint was modern and clean. The guys taking our order were amiable and answered our questions about certain dishes. This place is American meets Seoul, come see their delightful engagement. read more

To Be fair I am very disappointed with how the services were provided! Even do I use the self check out I with had expected some kindness or even a bit of respect when it comes to customer service. The vibe inside seems to be very dead not many people at all eating there as well ... when I ask for salsa something so simple I was given a stare like why am I bothering him? After that, I didn't feel very comfortable eating at all there, so I packed up my stuff before asking for a box my eyes were rolling. And the attitude was given just because I asked for a box to go... it's sad to see this, even though the food is great not the best but good enough I think that they would give a little more effort to be more polite or friendly to customers. Maybe that's the reason why there's a self-checkout so you do not interact with the employees!! But come on just for asking for a box to go you have to be looked at why are you bothering? Maybe next time I am ordering to go. But don't take my word for it!!! see it for yourself. The worst part is they rate themselves very high for the kind of service, they provide. I'm trying to give it another chance just because the food is not bad, but it seems like their behavior will stay the same into customers stop coming or they get close down. hopefully, management ends up making some big changes. read more
Great asian tacos at a decent price. Although portions are a little small and the wait can be a but long. Definitely order online if possible and try the tacos! They have a small menu but they do it well, all three of the meat options, (bulgogi, spicy pork, chicken) are delicious. Marinated and super flavorful, and not too spicy either. The kimchi fried rice was a little bland in my opinion. I might just be more used to really salty chinese style fried rice. Decor is unique and interesting with friendly staff. The wait was like 20-30 minutes for 6 people to order, could be just people not knowing what to order, but seemed really strange and it's usually packed at peak times. After ordering as well took another 20 minutes to make tacos which should be quick. Overall, great food and you should definitely give it a try, just order ahead or go at off peak times! read more
**When you get a gogi bowl, you are supposed to pop the yolk and mix rice and everything else with the pepper paste! This is how you eat bibimbab! I've seen so many people eating it wrong and I want to tell them the correct way every single time. lol This restaurant is located in a nice area and inside was clean and hip. My order came out fairly quick and I have no complaint with the service. I ordered 3 tacos with side kimchi fried rice and a gogi bowl. Tacos and gogi bowl were pretty decent. You can taste different favors among different tacos and the portion was decent compared to its price. ($2.50 per taco). Spicy pork was tender, bulgogi steak was a little bit stringy but still tasty, and chicken taco was flavorful. I did not like kimchi fried rice at all though ($2). It didn't have any taste and wasn't mixed well enough and had a clump of white rice. I wish they add meat in their fried rice. I thought the gogi bowl was pretty decent ($8). It had a good portion of meat, rice, and veggies. Pepper paste was the legit Korean spicy one and meat was tasty. Overall, I am happy with the price I paid and the food I tasted. It's great to see more Korean-Mexican (fusion) spots opening up in Chicago, and Seoul Taco is no exception to this trend. They offer a chill place to meet up with friends, hang out, and munch on some yummies. It's nice that it's not all over-priced food considering the area. There's a variety of choices like tacos, burritos, bowls, and more, but not so much that you should be overwhelmed. Just be warned that many of the items are spicy. I'm sure you can ask to take it down a notch, but where would the fun be in that? The tacos are good, and I think the chicken is my favorite. The bulgogi and pork options are good, but taste like they have been marinated too long making the meat a little sweeter than it should. Plenty of healthy greens (looks like a spring mix) fill the taco and is drizzled with sriracha mayo. A nice, quick bite to eat. Staff is very friendly, and I like the vibe of the interior. I'll come back, if I'm in the area again. read more
"Let me eat to the death" reads the massive piece of graphic art near the entrance. The good news is that no one ate to the death when I was there. Sheesh. I just came for a taco and we're on the topic of death! I tried all the tacos and liked them all. I say "liked" and not loved but I'll get to that later. First, the good. Ordering is simple in yet another Chipotle ordering knock off (First pick your type of food, then pick the meat, then the toppings). The tacos were fresh tasting and meaty at the same time with mild spice. The price was ok at $2.50 per smallish taco which works out to $0.83 a bite. Not bad for the neighborhood. And the interior is nicely done with informal touches and dark wood trim. The only negatives were that I found the tacos to be a little too saucy. Next time I'll ask them to tone that down. What are my options for strict vegetarian/ vegan?
The Tofu is vegan. Any entree with tofu as the protein that doesn't include Fried Rice or one of their sauces, all of which contain egg, is wholly vegan.
Does Seoul Taco offer vegan and gluten-free options?
The tofu is gluten free, but their meats are not. Taco shells and Seoul sauce are GF.
