I came here yesterday for an impromtu casual dinner with my mom, dad, and favorite sister. (I only have one but I like to call her my favorite because I feel like it makes her feel more special) Seoul Tofu House is located in the Galleria's food court. I love coming to this place because on a chilly day like yesterday a nice warm Korean soup sooths the soul like no other. I was scimming through their picture display of various soup and saw that they had the Korean Goat Stew that I crave from time to time. I saw it and I knew instantly that was what I wanted to order. I also ordered their combo #3 that came with a large plate of bulgogi and Soon Tofu soup with a bowl of rice and banchan (side dishes) TO-GO for my husband. The food came out fairly quickly under 15 minutes and the soup that I ate in the food court was so satiatying to the soul. This is my go to place for a last minute dining out with minimal fuss situation kind of place where I know they have delicious Korean dishes that you can access in an instant. Their barley bibimbap comes w half barley half rice, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, yeolmu kimchi, and my favorite chrysanthemum! I decided on the Hot Stone Bibimbap with Tofu Stew ($12.99). The amount of food was decent for the price. The rice in my bibimbap was nice and crispy, and there was a good amount of ingredients, all topped with a fried egg. The flavor of the tofu stew was a little plain but still enjoyable. The stew had one clam, one crab claw, a good amount of beef, and a lot of tofu. You're able to customize the stew's level of spiciness. Also included were two kinds of kimchi, potato salad, and a fried fish. The fried fish was the most enjoyable side item, but it had a million small bones and really made me work for my food. Quick review: Food court Korean. The bulgogi was mediocre, the sides where meh. I made another stop at this food court located in the Asian market off Reseda Blvd. Last time I had the Katsu stall, but this time chose the korean stall for Bulgogi. Bulgogi is marinated beef sliced thin and served on a hot plate. This version was kinda average. I thought the beef was a bit dry and needed more saucing. Sides they provided wheren't any better. This isn't the worst Bulgogi ever, but far far from the best. To speak on the sides, the sort of fried whole fish, kinda unnecessary. Kimchi had a bit too much fishy funk going on for my taste, and was on the sour side. Overall I just wasn't impressed by this food stall. Would I eat here again, meh. Then again, this is the Korean tofu spot in the food court, so maybe I ordered wrong. Maybe the tofu soups are the shit. Maybe what I did was equivalent to going to a burger joint and ordering a salad, it's probably gonna suck hard. read more

For a little order at the counter restaurant in a food court that is in a grocery store, the food is really good here. Whenever I go to The Galleria Supermarket, I always end my trip at Seoul Tofu House. I started going here maybe about 7-8 years ago and I remembered getting their seafood tofu hot pot with a side of Kalbe would cost me about $10 and now it's $17. Inflation has gone up the roof with the same portions but it is still very delicious. Their tofu seafood hot pot is filled with silky tofu and little pieces of yummy seafood and beef. Their Kalbe ribs are tasty and tender. $17 is expensive but definitely worth it. read more

This is an okay tofu place. It's in the food court of the galleria all the way in the back. The lady who runs the place isn't exactly friendly and seems limited in English. I didn't have any trouble ordering because I just told her which number I wanted. Once you order, they give you a buzzer. She actually didn't activate our buzzer and just waved us over once our order was ready. It took a while before our order was ready even though they weren't busy. The tofu soup itself was a little bland. Possibly because I asked for mild but the flavor of the soup shouldn't be dependent on the spice level. I thought it needed a tad more flavor. The banchan that it came with was really good! The kimchee, pickled radish, fish cake, and the fried fish was really good. Not "there's a lot of seafood" fishy.. It had the aroma of guys on the pier sitting next to their ice chests with their lines in the water. I ate about half to give it a chance, but then just took the tofu out and moved the bowl downwind. The sides were delicious! I loved their kimchee.. Full of flavor but not so hot that it blisters your mouth. There was also a small fish with the sides that was tasty, but I would have preferred it to be crispy. If you're going to bread and fry it, I don't want mushy fish. Kind of weird.. I'd go back again, but will avoid the tofu stew. read more
