Times have changed and unfortunately this place no longer allow AYCE for solo customers. You have to purchase the À la carte menu which is 1 meat for the price of an AYCE. I'm not sure what happened but even the servers couldn't give a definite answer. Hopefully the owner can chime in and explain why the changes occurred.

Flavorful, warm, fresh meats, and salads. We celebrated birthdays of La Familias and had a delightful experience. Chris, Mario, and Diane provided great and fast service. We also appreciated the birthday dessert treats, candles, hat props, half-moon tambourine musical sound, and the Happy Birthday song celebration. I hope there may be senior discounts someday. Clean environment and relaxing ambiance. Thank you. God bless.

I'm torn about this review. I've been a forever fan of Pine Tree. I've been here so many times in the past to eat (20+ years) and enjoyed myself. Today not so much. My table mate and I ordered the $34.99 AYCE. Our first round was the: Brisket: thick cut and had a freezer taste to it. Prime rib steak: thinly cut but was flavorful. Boneless galbi: pretty good. It was a busy lunch at 2:00 pm on a Sunday. I felt bad because the owner (? Guy in his 40s) and a lady (60s?) were the only ones working about 20 tables. We were patient. We waited about 20-30 minutes between the time our first meats came until the waitress came by the table to see how we were doing and to take our second order. We don't know how long it would make until she came back again, so we ordered 4 dishes. She rudely said "too much food!!!" On a super positive note - the owner guy was super nice, friendly, attentive, helpful, and kind! Amazing customer service. Our second round we ordered: Rib eye steak. Good! Boneless galbi. Good. Intestines. It was honeycomb tripe. Meh Beef tongue. Generous and flavorful. Thickly sliced. I still have faith in this restaurant. Maybe it was an off day? If it weren't the nice owner - I'd probably not come back again.

We came here to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday. The service was great! The food was right on point. Everyone got what they desired which was a big range of foods but the greatest part was that was that they were all delicious. My dad got the Yu-Kae-Jang soup. My mom got the giant fried fish. My sister and I got the Soon Tofu soup. My husband got the Galbi Jim. We were all satiated to content. The best part was that there was no wait to sit down and eat.

I was feeling AYCE kbbq and I stumbled upon this place. For $26 you can get all the basics, pork belly, brisket, spicy pork, chicken. It's a small selection but it's enough. Side dishes are quite good and refillable. In terms of taste I thought these were pretty solid. The brisket and pork belly came pretty frozen. You have to ask for the steamed egg so definitely do that if that's your thing. Overall experience was good. It's not the best I've had but for $26 it's not bad. Definitely hits the craving. Parking is right outside in their own lot. Wasn't busy for lunch Monday.

Drinks, salad, sides, and first round of meats done. Japchae on the big plate

Always fast service. Half the time they seem "busy" meaning there's a lot of tables that have people seated, and the other half of the time there's only a few tables seated, but regardless, they always have the same fast service! We did the $25 menu with brisket and spicy pork! We also got a plate if japchae which costed $21.99. I was a bit disappointed that they stopped serving small sides of japchae since I didn't really want a whole PLATE, but nevertheless, they still brought everything out fast. This only "con" is that the building must have good acoustics or something because it can get VERY noise. Between the meats, the smoke, the vents, the people and more. Still love this place.

All of that goodness was wrapped in a grilled but super soft lavash bread. Being so thin and soft, the lavash bread still maintained its composure, didn't fall apart and each bite was a treat. Absolutely amazing. The customer service was very friendly and the gentleman explained to me that they are redoing the inside seating and that there would be many tables inside. Service was lovely and we met George and his family, who were so very nice and welcoming. To have dinner at a family establishment is heart felt and nostalgic, because I grew up in a restaurant environment. George's mother in law came over to us and gave us fresh made cookie biscuits to try as dessert. We couldn't stop thanking them for the entire dining experience. It's a mom and pop shop. And I'm planning on going there again soon. :) thank you George and family for delicious food and making us feel like family.

The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned with high-quality meats, and very good. It's the best I've ever tasted. I've only had commercialized gumbo and jambalaya at chain restaurants. I didn't order any grilled meats. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection. The sides were disappointing and I will not order again: Mac and Cheese: A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again. Collard Greens: Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn't waste them. Let's be clear, the greens weren't horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens. Red Beans & Rice: Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans. Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment. I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup. On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don't like. I don't expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.

Kravings Fusion in Tarzana gave us way more than dinner last night -- it was basically a mini trip to Brazil without having to explain anything to TSA. The rodízio-style service was on point. The meats and proteins just kept coming around like they had a personal mission to make sure nobody left hungry. We had juicy sirloin, ribeye, salmon, beautifully prepared wrapped steaks, chicken, and more coming straight to the table. Every time I thought, "Alright, I'm done," another server would walk by holding something sizzling and suddenly my stomach found a new storage compartment. The ribeye was rich and flavorful, the sirloin was tender, the chicken was juicy, and I really appreciated the salmon being in the rotation too. It gave me the opportunity to pretend I was making healthy decisions in between several rounds of steak. And then Kravings decided FOOD WASN'T ENOUGH. Two Brazilian dancers came out and put on a full-on Rio Carnaval-style show with the costumes, music, dancing, energy and all. The whole restaurant came alive. For a minute there I forgot I was sitting in Tarzana and started wondering when the parade float was coming through. Great food, fun atmosphere, nonstop rodízio meats, fantastic entertainment and an experience that actually feels like a night out instead of just another dinner. Come hungry. Wear stretchy pants.
