I stopped into Sephora on Black Friday (I know... chaos!), but I'm so glad I did because I met Allie. Even with the store being packed, she took her time with me like it was a calm Tuesday morning. I told her I was looking for a new foundation, and she walked me through several options without rushing or overwhelming me. She swatched three different shades directly on my skin, explained the differences, and made sure I actually liked how each one felt not just how it looked. The shade that ended up being perfect for me happened to be out of stock, so instead of brushing me off, Allie put together samples of each contender so I could test them in daylight at home. That extra attention and care meant so much, especially on such a busy day. Her energy was warm, patient, and genuinely helpful. Sephora needs more Allies customer service like hers makes all the difference. I'll definitely be back because of her!

    success!! Thx Mina!

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the experience I had with Mina tonight at Sephora. I dread going into stores for anything and I am at consummate online shopper... But when it comes to make up, I always end up spending so much money watching YouTube videos and buying everything that is recommended and then I get it and it's not good for my skin tone or vibe. I only went to Sephora for one reason... To get some thing that had one in stock left and I could not find online. I walked into Sephora tonight to pick up one of the only make up items that I religiously use, which was a concealer that they are discontinuing by Armani and they had the last one left in the store. While I was there, I thought what the heck I'll have somebody match my color for foundation - both tan and my regular skin tone. I prayed to have a good consultant who could guide me through my options. Not to mention the fact that I showed up at 7:30 and the store closes at eight. Needless to say, God sent me an angel. MINA helped me expeditiously select two foundations and several under concealers that were perfect for every possible scenario. I was very blessed to have her help me and really appreciated her positive energy and her ability to quickly assess my skin tone and understand what I was looking for and make recommendations that hit the nail on the head. Mina is a gem. I loved working with her and Collaborating. It made my night. She's a keeper!

I like going to this Sephora because it's not too busy and it has the brands I love. It's also my go to Sephora because I get my brows done here. If you book with Lori, she's a sweetheart. Not only she's talented at what she does, she makes you feel right at home. I've been here a few times to shop for make up and beauty cleansing products. The staff was always helpful and found products that would match my fair Filipino complexion. Shops at Mission Viejo is a sleepy mall but it does have some of my favorite stores are in this mall. Because it's not so busy you get a lot of personalized attention with what you're looking for and what will compliment you the best!

This location is tucked into The Arbor Village Center so it's surrounded by other eateries and businesses. Most people familiar with this plaza know that parking is a headache during lunch and dinner hours. I would not want to be here if it was overly crowded, but thankfully that wasn't the case when we were there on a Saturday afternoon. My friend recently visited Japan so she wanted to stop by to show me their popular haircare products. We ended up spending a whole hour here and I've added more products to my wishlist for the near future. I also walked out with a purchase and can't wait to try it. Notes: ~ Hours of operation are 11:30 AM - 8:30 PM daily ~ Opened in 2018 and it's a smaller store but they still carry wide range of cosmetics, skin/hair/oral/ personal hygiene care products, toys, snacks and lifestyle items (not just Japanese ones, but also trendy Korean and a couple of Chinese brands) ~ Prices are actually not outrageous (some products appear cheaper than the Japanese and Korean markets) ~ Aisles are a bit more narrow here so please be patient ~ There's a spacious sink in the back of the store for hand washing after testing out the wide variety of beauty products ~ Store associates are nice and ready to help find any product ~ Partnered with Fivestars for their loyalty program ~ Sometimes they offer deals like spend $50+ to receive a free gift ~ Products approaching end of shelf life are placed right by the checkout counter (items can be between 30-70% off) ~ Mobile payment accepted

This review is simply for the waxing service…read more I found out about the facial waxing services through a local Facebook group and Misti was repeatedly and highly recommended. I understand why. In plain sight, but perhaps not really noted, the waxing area is where the Benefit section is. Misti is friendly and quick! All the steps you'd have in a high end salon in terms of skin prep and sanitation are followed. As for the regular shopping experience, I'd rate it a 3. Not as many associates wandering around if you need help. The selection of products is decent. It's likely what you'd expect if youre familiar with the retailer.

The makeup artist did not properly clean the lipstick or under-eye products, and the next morning, I woke up with these awful symptoms. I emailed them right away, staying calm and polite, simply stating I didn't want anyone else to go through this. After a couple of weeks, the general manager called me and dismissed it as an allergy. She gave me a case number and said someone would follow up--no one ever did. I sent a second email, and still, no response after nearly a month. To make matters worse, the register associate, Sophia, was incredibly rude and dismissive. Even though the store was empty, I waited over 10 minutes just to be helped at the register. This was not a busy time--no one was even in line--just terrible service. I am attaching photos of my lip and eye so you can see the extent of the damage. Please, if you care about your health, do not go here. If you do, never let them do your makeup--it's not safe.

So Sephora and I have been shopping with each other for many years! Unfortunately, my experiences at Sephora have gone downhill overtime, and this store is an example of that. The store itself is always a little bit dirty, a little bit messy, it feels cluttered and disorganized. I dread going in here to shop! The staff seems stressed out almost all of the time, the line for the register is way too small for how many people are often in the purchases queue, and they have way too few cash points to handle the traffic. I still appreciate the variety of brands, but shopping at this Sephora in particular, but also unfortunately many other stores in their brand, has become unpleasant.

I've visited Sephora many times to get my makeup done. I never expect a full glam transformation…read morebut sometimes it's just nice to relax and have someone else do your makeup, and I've actually gotten some truly amazing artists in the past. That's why today's experience was such a shock, especially on my birthday. When I arrived, I checked in 15 minutes early. I wasn't asking to be seen early, just letting them know I was there. Normally, if you check in early, they invite you to sit, get comfortable, maybe look at a few products or shade match while you wait. I didn't expect any special treatment, but instead I overheard the hostess tell the manager, Leslie, that I had arrived early, and Leslie immediately responded with attitude: "She'll need to wait the full 15 minutes until her appointment starts." Again, totally fine with me, but the tone was unnecessary, and it set the wrong vibe from the start. If it had only been that moment, I would've shrugged it off and never said a word. Then my appointment began with the artist, Crystal, and that's where everything really began to fall apart. She spent the first 10 minutes just staring at me, asking what colors I liked but having absolutely nothing prepared. Every other Sephora appointment I've had, the artist brings out their go-to favorites or recommendations and it's part of what makes the service fun and helps you discover new products. Crystal brought out almost nothing. I showed her inspiration photos -- soft, natural shadows and simple lashes. Somehow, she drew a huge wing all the way up toward my eyebrow. It looked nothing like the pictures. I asked her to remove it. She redrew it -- again so long and not matching the vibe of the natural look in the makeup. She tried three separate wings, even though I never asked for a wing at all so I finally asked her to please remove the wings completely. Meanwhile, she kept smearing eyeliner into my lash extensions, and I had to try to remove it myself because they were clumping together. Forty minutes into the appointment, my eyes still looked nothing like what I asked for, and I finally said, "Can we please move on to skin?" She told me she only had a few minutes left and that I should've booked a 90 minute appointment even though every other time I've gone, they've gotten my makeup done in about 30 minutes for full face, but I always book the 60 minute and we spend time shopping or picking out products that were used. The face makeup was even worse. She applied foundation so thick and cakey that when I touched my face lightly, it literally came off on my hand. She ignored the products I told her I liked and used heavy powders on mature skin, something any trained artist knows to avoid. When the checkout girl saw me, she genuinely tried to help because even she could see how bad the makeup looked. At that point, I wanted to cry. I almost never ask for a manager, but this experience was that bad. Unfortunately, speaking to Leslie made everything worse. She was dismissive, cold, and condescending. I didn't want a refund, I just wanted someone to help fix my makeup so I didn't have to leave looking like that on my birthday. Her response? "You should've left halfway through the appointment if you didn't like it." I explained that I was trying to give the artist a chance to fix it, but she continued talking to me as if I was the issue. She offered no help, no solutions, nothing. To summarize: This was the worst makeup application I've ever had, combined with some of the rudest customer service I've ever experienced. I highly recommend not booking with Crystal and avoiding any situation where an issue might be escalated to Leslie, who should absolutely not be in a management role. A birthday appointment that should've been fun and relaxing turned into the most stressful and disappointing experience I've had at Sephora. I had to redo my face, rush and was late to my own party and I wish I never wasted my time here! Avoid the makeup services and Sephora should consider more qualified staff for one of their best local locations.
