I was just making a purchase on 01/11/2020 at 12:15pm when the blonde cashier was so beyond rude. First she doesn't greet me, then when I said no to opening a credit card 5x she then refused to sell me a bag even when I offered to pay for the bag. After being a rewards member and spending over $3000 per year at the store she refused to honor my rewards. She was so beyond rude and she lost a customer. Her attitude was so beyond rude. I suggested her to be more polite and she told me to get out of the store! I will never shop their again nor will I recommend anyone to that business read more

Each time I shop at this Sephora location I always leave with a smile on my face. I can be a very picky person with my choice of fragrance, makeup and skincare. With the different sales associates I've had the pleasure to meet while shopping. I'm given full information (and fun facts!) about the products I'm interested in. Might I reccomend the Korres skincare products. Ahh-mazing. A very natural line. The Wild Rose brightening creme and mask are the BEST. The fragrance room has a very nice selection. I love that you can buy rollerballs of your favorite perfume instead of the whole bottle. Flower Bomb, Hot Couture by Givenchy and Daisy by Marc Jacobs complete my perfume loving soul. Beauty has great selections and always has what the associates call "newness". Meaning all the fun new products just being released. Make Up For Ever has wonderful lipstick, eyeshadow and eyeliner. Too Faced, Urban Decay, Illamasqua, Laura Mercier and Tokidoki all have beautiful color options from fresh to funky. Also has an excellent makeup brush selection as well. Very good quality. The store is very clean and always smells amazing. Prices vary from low to high. Considering the quality here. It's very much worth it when you find something you can't live without. Some of the people that have assisted me are Sara, Christina, Morgan, Tiffany, Crystal, True Love, Dom, Halee and Brian. Each person is friendly and knowledegable. Love it here, spend lots of money here (shame on me), and everyone is always nice to me when I come to this location. They have a huge store, with a separate room for perfume. This I love because at the Arden location, I've gotten sprayed by accident more than once. They carry high end brands, Laura Mercier, Korres, Too Faced, etc.. And they are usually friendly and helpful. I've had one or two bad experiences with people who work here, but they are never here when I come in afterward, so..someone is doing their job correctly. read more

Wonderful store for all your cosmetic needs. Great brands like Dior, Nars, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, Bobbi Brown, Too Faced, and Clinique. Unfortunately, they do not carry Chanel (my reason for 4 out of 5 stars). Also, they have a giant selection of their own sephora brand makeup. Worst Sephora I've ever been to due to the rude customer service! I needed help finding a tinted moisturizer for my mother, there was no one on the floor to help as they were busy doing their own makeup. After hunting around the store I asked a girl for help. She was blonde, tall and had a thick Russian accent. After finding a shade for my mom and I asked for a sample because she has extremely sensitive skin. The girl who was helping us took about 20-30 mins finding a shade and then said " we don't give samples around the holidays because it's busy". This was after Christmas and the store wasn't even busy. I reminded her that I came a couple days prior to Christmas and got samples for some products I wanted to try. She just said " yeah, can't do that". As if it was her product and she was losing $ over giving my mom a sample? I was planning on purchasing new lipsticks and other products but just left because of this employee. I've bought many things from Sephora but this experience brought a nasty taste in my mouth so I'll be sticking to Ulta or purchasing directly on my fav makeup brands websites. read more

After having way to many bad experiences with MAC customer service I started shopping at Sephoras and I love the one located in the Galleria. The staff is always friendly and within 5 mins of me being there someone always asks me if I need any help and if I say no they leave me alone and let me shop in peace. The girls are nice and have been helpful when I needed any item that may not be stocked in the front shelves. The only other help I've ever really needed was with color matching and they have been on point with that also now as far as actual product knowledge I sometimes feel like I know more about an item then they do but that's because I have a habit of reading a ton of reviews for things I plan on buying before I walk into the store. Service: The staff here was very helpful. I explained what I was looking and some concerns. The sales associate listed carefully and offered 2 samples without even asking! I often find there's a lot of judgement when you ask for a sample, you get inferred as a non-buying customer, aka not important. I agree w/ the low rating. This is by far the worst Sephora I've been to due to the lack of customer service. The ladies I was asking for help gave such snobby attitude. It made me not want to shop there/return to be honest. And when I finally found what I was looking for, a lady with blonde hair and way too smoked out eyeshadow, had to first open a piece of gum, finish her conversation with her coworker, and proceeded to chomp on her gum in front of me before she could continue closing the sale. I rarely use yelp to make comments but I wanted Jenny from Sephora to know that you're amazing . The drunk elephant hydration and the perfect canvas by Ren has really helped my makeup routine !! No joke i have tried so many products before but not in the right order or i was using something that wasn't good for my oily skin . Not only did she recommend some good products but she took the time to educate me on the fact that i was producing so much oily in my face from my face and body being dehydrated . Update: It seems the experience here varies depending on the members working. The skincare area always has attentive, nice members who are genuinely wanting to help (from my experience). Its when you venture out to the makeup counter when it can get uncomfortable. It's really touch-and-go and depends entirely on who is there, and they seem to have a lot of different cast members working. I can't judge an entire establishment on a group of people, but I think the catty headset comments should be observed and called out more. read more

Came here with a friend to get our make up done for an event and could not have been happier!! Stacie was my artist and she not only did she do a beautiful job but she was so knowledgable! I love makeup, but I hate shopping for it. It's easy to get overwhelmed at Sephora since there are too many of options. That's why I was so lucky to have crossed paths with McKaylee. I love a natural, glam look that is simple and quick to apply. McKaylee listened to me, showed me new makeup products to enhance my look and make it even easier, and more natural looking. She exceeded my expectations. I have pretty intense hyperpigmentation issues, so she had the challenge of finding me full coverage products while still giving me the natural finish I desired that didn't settle into my fine lines. I went in looking for a new foundation (I buy the same things over and over and over again), got the new Marc Jacobs liquid foundation AND ended up spending hundreds $$$ more on a bunch of new makeup products she tried on me. I love all my new makeup, not one ounce of buyers remorse. I appreciated McKaylee's expertise so much, I brought my mom and girlfriend in to get their makeup done by her (they bought everything she showed them too). She helped me venture out of my comfort zone, and I'm happy that I trusted her. I will definitely be back in to see her again. read more

I came in to try to get my birthday gift the month after my birthday, as the online order was not working and when i went in to a different location the team member who was helping me was not able to give me my gift for some reason that i am still confused on. I was assisted by a very kind lady named Stephanie who gave me my gift even though I wasn't able to answer her questions properly about why I couldn't get my gift the first time. I was very pleased with the way she handled the situation and I will definitely be returning in large part due to her willingness to work with me. There's been times that other Sephora stores have been very busy and would make little effort at assistance but Stephanie's helpfulness makes me want to return to this location! read more

I went in to Sephora tonight to return a Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette. The woman at the counter was being extremely rude to me when I couldn't take the product out of the bag. My finger is injured hence why I put the bag on the counter to be reached in by the worker. Maybe it was a miscommunication but she was treating me realy rude throughout the whole transaction. Well that was another bad experience for me. I walk in and go directly to what I needed (BITE) lip products. I have an employee walk right next to me on the end cap and acts as if she's stocking or cleaning. She clearly states in her ear piece that she's watching me..something to the effect "I'm on it or I'm here" I think to myself well since she's watching me and I've been here all but a minute..maybe she'll offer help...not a word and just stares. I get stores have a theft problem. I as well work in that type of environment. But I thought ..wow I have no large purse nor do I have pants on with pockets and or a jacket. Honestly I had no where to really conceal anything.lol...I would have looked around or shopped further but felt very uncomfortable. I am a VIB customer and will continue to shop at Sephora's cause I need my products. But staff is very bad. Never am I offered a sample or help..but I'm used it from this company. It's sad honestly because I'm sure the employee's know that is the #1 priority...is customers/service. Customers/Sales=profitability/more employee hours/ as well as good star ratings. Personally I did not enjoy my shopping experience here. The employees were not helpful. They were really rude. I asked for a shade match and the girl just told me to go ahead and try them. I always been to sephora at Arden and the girls are always so sweet and helpful. Not pleased with the service I hope they change the staff attitude. I honestly felt because we were Hispanic. I also noticed they were more helpful to white women. There were other women of other races who were also not being helped as nicely and were answered very short. Just not happy. Today was the grand opening and I had hoped this would be the beginning of a new "attitude" for Sephora? Not at all. They have a better selection, it was packed, but you only got service if a) you are gorgeous b) you look wealthy or c) you look like you shoplift. I went casual, and not one gal greeted me with an authentic smile. It's okay it's retail, but wow! Attitude galore, and when I left they were arguing outside with a customer. If I were her I would have filed a complaint but seriously, arguing with a customer who was leaving the store? Really? Well, the products are fab, but I'd bypass the attitude and shop online, sucks that the sales staff are so full of themselves, but they will view any negative review as "jealousy" or label me a hater. the first time i went to the sephora in roseville, i didn't know what to expect. it was my first time at galleria, and i wanted to see what this new sephora had in store. the staff was super nice. very enthusiastic and helpful. i didn't have too many questions, but there was always a staff associate around to check on me. and the cashier was fantastic. she was friendly, processed my transaction quickly, and chatted a little while we waited for the register to finish it's job. i love going to this sephora because it has a tad more brands than the one in sacramento... but the last time i went, the customer service was 'eh'. but i think that's because the mall had just opened, and they were stocking stuff and doing opening duties while it was still slow. still not a bad store. ;o] read more

today i wanted to return a few items (unopened) that were given to me for christmas. Unfortuanlty i was not given any receipts. When returning the items i was told that the system wont let me return the items for an unknown reason. I figured it might be because i got too many things and the system wont let me return that many items so i asked if they can just return the items one by one but the manager who stood next to the lady at the register said there is nothing they can do and that i need to call the number on the receipt i was given. This review is for a customer service experience I had in July 2014, in the stand alone Sephora (not the JcPenney one). I didn't catch the sales associate's name, but she's a little older, dark hair, heavy makeup. (Side note: Why do some of the sales associates wear ridiculous, distracting, heavy makeup? Once I see them looking like a hot mess with tons of green, sparkly eye shadow on, I'm not inspired to try that look out on myself.) Okay, here goes my venting. At the left side of the store, by the lotions, the sales associate had just finished helping a group of teenage girls. The associate asked me if I needed any help, so I asked her if they had any other foot lotions besides the one I was holding in my hand. Instead of listening to my question, this lady totally ignores me and speaks into her headset "Yeah, watch out for those girls. It's a group of three teenage girls walking around together." Obviously, this was a Loss Prevention issue, and she was alerting the mall cop, who came in a couple minutes later. My problem is, why approach me offering your help, when you're clearly distracted and don't care about me at this moment?! When she snapped out of her headset conversation and noticed me standing right in front of her, she CONDESCENDINGLY says "this is foot lotion" (as if this was big news and I was a dumb customer confused about the product I had been holding for a minute). I said, "yeah, I'm looking for foot lotion." The whole time her eyes are darting around for those teen girls. When she did finally try to help me, her help consisted of showing me some random products, and telling me to use the computer screen they have where you can search for products. So why even have the sales associate there, when I'm supposed to stand alone with a screen to get any help locating products?! This sales associate was totally useless, except for narcing on that group of girls. read more

I heart Sephora, it's one of my favorite stores ever! I spend way more than anyone should ever spend at Sephora lol, and while I do most of my shopping online, when I shop in store it is likely to be this location. The store is pretty spacious & seems generally well stocked & staffed. I have had some amazing personable service here & I really appreciate every time a "cast member" goes out of their way to help me. I've never had any issues with returns, even without a receipt. They will even give me samples of whatever I want to try! I've never had a bad experience at this location. In addition to having my favorite brands like Urban Decay, Too Faced, & Fresh, Sephora also has a great rewards program that makes spending my money here a little more rewarding & enjoyable. I have mixed feelings about this sephora. I'm a makeup junkie and I'll spend a decent amount of time looking around at products, trying to decide what to buy, etc. It's not very often that someone will ask me if I need help. Sometimes I want an opinion from someone who works there -- if they've personally tried the product, if they know of something better, etc. When I am offered help, I don't really get the answers I'm looking for. Some of the ladies are friendly and pleasant and some ignore you or act like you're bothering them. The upside to this sephora is that they are rarely ever out of stock of what I'm looking for, unless of course it's a new item that's quite popular. read more

I went here and spend over $300 for foundation with moisturizer, bronzer, blush. Love the make up and the girl trying to help me. Whomever she was reporting to was the rudest manager I have ever dealt with. The girl was trying to get me in for a small example of foundation and color match me. The manager was rude and acted like I was the issue not making an appt. I have never thought I would walk through a mall and spend over $300 on make up. So making an appt would have never happened.
