I don't know where to begin. One of the BEST experiences I have received in a while happened this Saturday 8/21/21 at the Studio City location. I have been trying to find an email address or direct phone number to Sephora corporate since with NO luck. I would like to recognize 2 amazing staff members (Rafa & Kalena) that went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I would give zero stars if I could. I went to this location on Saturday to get color matched and the girl gave me a color that was five shades to lighter than my skin but you can't try anything on because of coven. I went home put it on realized immediately it was completely the wrong color went back got color matched again this time the shade was three shades too late for my skin so I went back today to try and return it and somehow this is the one location that is unable to process a refund and all of the entire company of Sephora somehow magically. Not only were they unable to accommodate me but the manager was really rude and condescending and talked to me like I was unable to understand what she was saying when in reality I know She just didn't want to help me because every store that is functioning now as a successful business is able to process refunds. I will never come back here and I will probably never shop at Sephora again because their customer service is complete crap read more

I had my make up done by Jessica for a red carpet movie premiere I recently attended. I can't say enough great things about Jessica! She's an amazing make up artist! By far, skilled, communicative, listened, fully capable and a very talented make up artist! I definitely think you'll be fortunate to get her while you still can at the price of a make up session at Sephora. Because, when people discover her skill set? She'll be all booked up for film and tv shows. It'll be too late to utilize her at a very accessible rate and location! Don't walk, run to work with Jessica! Horrible experience every time. The Sephora employees walk around and have zero customer service. The cashier who helped me was clueless. Sephora as a company needs to screen their employees better. This is an ongoing issue at various locations. There has only been 1 location that I have shopped at in California which has had customer service. read more

Pro: Great location Con: Terrible parking Pro: amazing customer service! Every time I come here someone is always helpful and doesn't make me feel stupid for being someone who doesn't know much about beauty products. They are the nicest Sephora store I have ever been to, especially since makeup stores can be intimidating. Con: they never really have a lot in stock every time I have come here which can be kind of a bummer. Overall I am giving them four stars because of their friendliness. Had one of my best experiences at a Sephora I have ever had tonight. Not that other experiences have been bad, but the customer service at this Studio City location was great. i am so sad that this is a three. i went back twice to see if I could get another perspective. unfortunately it didn't happen. we really have to work on being kind to one another guys. the customer service is really bad at this location. it's so obvious most folks here are just waiting until their shift ends, so they don't have to answer another question or wait on another customer. it's the i can't be bother to do anything attitude and please don't ask me to make a phone call or look for anything . and samples or reward gifts always out and it's obvious they don't care. it's a sad situation at the studio city location. at this point, i say go to the mall at the Sherman Oaks location. read more

I rarely do reviews, but this has got to be the worst Sephora store. EVERYTIME I go to this location they are out of stock of what I'm looking for. I don't even know why I bother going anymore, between always being sold out on products the parking is a nightmare. Laura , is horrible. She follows you around constantly. She speaks to you in such a demeaning manner as if she is above you. Mind you i am the costumer and she is an EMPLOYEE. None of the other workers even bother to help you. One girl was amazing and helped me but she didn't even work at that location. As i was getting help with finding makeup (with the only girl helping) Laura followed me around the whole time. She is disgusting. If anything you should calm down and treat customers with respect because once again you're just an employee at Sephora not the CEO of Apple. Take your head out of your butt and stop harassing people and maybe more people would want to actually shop there. read more

My wife went in yesterday (she's a woman of color) they only followed her around and never asked once if she needed assistance. She purchased $110 worth of lipstick and makeup. She went back later in the afternoon to return it all based on the treatment she received. She works nearby and would have probably purchased there regularly. She's informed all of her coworkers about the treatment. All on board for a mini boycott. Peace. read more

Not happy with this location. Both times I went during off peak hours and the service was awful. I asked for recommendations for specific types of moisturizers, and the sales person (a manager!) acted like she was being burdened by my asking her for for advice. She hastily gave me one recommendation (as opposed to a couple of alternatives), and basically walked away before I was done asking for advice. By the way, I was basically trying to spend $100+ on products but she acted completely uninterested in helping. I'm driving to the Americana location next time even though I live walking distance from this location. read more

The workers here are so kind! I was thrilled they opened up a place in studio city! It was the only thing that was missing. I get makeovers a lot for photo shoots and acting gigs and they are always on top of it. I also exchange things often because my skin type can react bad to a lot and they never mind helping me out. How can we have a brand new store in an upscale location with such horrible customer service? Hire more people and train them to know their products and be nice!! (Maybe just send them across the parking lot into Trader Joe's to see positive customer interactions.) Came to this Sephora since it seemed to have what I was looking for in stock (based off their website). I walked in and was not greeted nor acknowledged throughout the time I was shopping around. Mind you it's a Friday, 6 PM and only a handful of people were at this location. There was 2 employees helping one white woman out and the other employees were chit chatting amongst themselves or starring at themselves in the mirror. Is it because I'm not a white woman was I not acknowledged? Because of the way I was dressed they chose not to acknowledge me and judged me poorly? The only person I barely had any interaction with was the woman who rang me up. If this is the only store that has the items I'm looking for I'd rather just order online. The only reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because the location was neat, otherwise I'd give 1 star. These employees need to be retrained and be taught basic manners if they want more customers to come back. read more

This is the closest Sephora to me so I prefer to go here, but I know better than to go to the skin care side of the store. Out of a Sephora uniform, a blonde frizzy haired, stubby woman came up to me and started telling me about my large pores and redness on my face. "Your pores are dirty and that's why your pores are so big" She was telling me all the ways I could fix my face and skin. UMMMM excuse me??? I didn't ask for her help at all. I was looking a foundation. She didn't introduce herself as a Sephora employee until I asked her who she was. She tried selling me on some crap I've never heard of. She also told me my dermatologist is wrong. Lady probably has a GED at most. Ok.... I come here to buy makeup and leave the store feeling good, but this experience made me feel bad about myself. She is NOT good business for the store. The other -uniformed- associates were all very nice and helpful with returns and foundation matching. read more
