I've gone five times to this Sephora hoping someone will change my mind about this location. I will not be going to this location again. Each time I have gone no one greets me (except the person at the door holding the baskets) or asks if I have any questions. I had to hunt down someone to help me once and she wasn't helpful either. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Sephora. It carries all of the brands I love and I am a VIB member there. However, the associates at this shop spoke with such a condescending attitude towards me. I am a paying customer, and I know what I'm looking for when I shop. I wanted to get my mom color matched and no one was available to help and when we finally were helped the girl was so rude and even complained about her own job. Eh.. I came here to return my Anastasia matte lipstick and was walking around. I wanted a gloss instead and a woman had helped me find one in the Anastasia section. I noticed that they had the perfect brown gloss shade in Anastasia. It was going well until I realized there were no more left on display. First of all, I came here at 10:15 and the mall opens at 10 am. You guys should have majority of your shit out on display. Second, I asked the nearest worker if they have the gloss (sepia) in stock. Automatically, he said no there's no more left.. without checking the drawer... bitch. Had to search for the first lady who helped me and she was able to open the drawer and hand me the gloss. Just popped in to visit and got my birthday rewards glam glow box for free, and I decided to buy something from forever makeup! Not only did the wonderful sales associate sample some product for me today, she also informed me of the shift towards animal cruelty free products, and a more natural based store! I am so happy to hear this, I really hope that more stores go green store wise and product wise, truly and really!!! The earth offers lush green leafy veggies and delicious sweet fruits, natural color can come from both veggies and fruits! Like peeling gel is the best thing to clean yourself up with when you see a cute guy in the mall and proceed to stalk them throughout the rest of the day. I love the Sephora brand and stores but some of the people that work at this location forget they aren't Sephora they just get her money. If you know what you're coming to get and have an idea of where it is, this is the store for you. I went to inquire about the Rahua shampoo because someone suggested it and said they purchased from Sephora but for the price of it, I wanted to see the product instead of blindly ordering it. I went in, looked for it (you know the hair selection isn't THAT big), when I did not find it, I asked a beauty specialist where it was. Instead of her stating "I'm not familiar; let me take a moment to look that up" she snobbishly said "rahhhhh-whoooo-who...I don't think we sell that. I've never heard of that." I loudly exhaled and calmly said "I saw it on Sephora.com. Even though you make all the products that Sephora sells, it's clear y'all don't have it so can you check ANOTHER location." She thennnnn decides to walk over to the Lookup while remarking, "well, it's probably only online." We both saw it said ONLINE EXCLUSIVE but that's the tone for this location (If WE don't have it, Sephora don't carry it) through a few of my experiences. read more

I went there after the gym not looking my best I asked for help 3 different times I waited for this guy to help me since he said he was busy helping someone else and he was so, I waited after he was done which was like 20 mins I waved hi like a retarded and he kida just rolled his eyes at me like if I annoyed him then I proceeded to ask him if there was a bronzer he recommend he told me what he recommended very short looking annoyed so I just said thanks and that was it , But I think the reason I'm writing this review was something that really got me .This other customer came in the minute she walked it he said hi greeted her and ran to her started complementing her purse and the way she was dressed the customer looked kinda annoyed since he wouldn't stop telling her how he loved her purse sorry if I'm a weirdo but I just stayed paying attention to his behavior and after 5 minutes customer left did not buy one thing ! I walked near him again since he was not doing nothing hoping maybe he would offer to help again and nothing! I went into this location with a few questions in mind to purchase the products I need. New customer to sephora this year and I have visit at least 4 different locations from Hollywood , Culver City (2) to here Del Amo Mall. They're always busy and still manage to ask if I find everything I'm looking for. BUT this store every single employee walked past me and nothing. Never stepped into a Sephora this uncomfortable. Had to ask someone that wasn't doing anything and she tells she wouldn't know and assumed I knew that she wasn't working the make up section haaa wow so I said thanks, walked away feeling even more uncomfortable. Secondly I'm walking around looking for an available employee that looks friendly to help, mean while there's broken make up that had been stepped on and now all over the store floor. Next, I finally just ask someone that was passing me by for help and she wasn't polite at all and just says for what? like I'm stupid because really i am very shy & insecure to be social and yes i am new trying to learn about too many make up options... after she starts throwing me off with all these names that i really can't understand if she's in a hurry to "help". I had to ask her to repeat the names and she would repeat them in the same tone like im stupid. I came here during the weekday shopping around and stumbled upon this store. A sweet lady named Lateria helped me. She gave me a one on one tutorial on how to fill and shape my eyebrows. She answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. She was open to any questions that I had, which I really appreciated because I'm not a beauty -makeup type of person. She was very happy and friendly. She also recommended me a few skin products to help brighten up my under eyes. She also gave me two take home samples to try out for a week. With all the perks of buying online, I haven't walked into a Sephora store in years. But last Saturday, because of one of those perfume scent cards they included in one of my orders that got me hooked, I HAD TO HAVE the Prada Candy perfume. I had a vague recollection that if you buy one of those perfume samplers, you could use the certificate towards a full size product, but it's only redeemable in a regular Sephora store (not online nor a JCPenney store). I went on a day that coincided with the VIB sale, so the line was looong at the checkout. Made my way to the perfume section and was warmly greeted by Allyson. She made my shopping experience a breeze. She went to the back and found me the last remaining sampler box($65) that included Prada Candy, helped me pull up the discount code (she worked my phone better and faster than I could ever do it myself!), and told me the full size perfume($68) was totally free (I had thought I could only apply the $65 and pay whatever the balance is). If I can do a zero stars I would. I work in customer service and was treated worse than a rat. I show up for my makeover which I did for a very special occasion. I had no time to reschedule or change. The artist greets me and the first thing that he says is you have to pay 120. I am a rouge and never did I have to pay. I told him I thought it was for next year changes this is what I was told. He proceeds to tell me that this is only for the custom makeovers and that the 120 is a flat fee with no product included. No where in the site did it say the difference which is a lie to clients. I said well can you a 60 he straight out said no to me you book a 90 minute 120 appointment. I asked can you do a mini just my eyes I'll do my foundation he said no we don't have time. It is just ridiculous to me that he has time to take over an hour if I paid 120 but couldn't accommodate a mini which I am a vib rouge and they should cater or even if I wasn't it's customer service. They did not assist me nor even cared to try to help. I left the store in tears as I was a maid of Honor at a wedding luckily god is good and found someone that was very willingly able to do my makeup and didn't even want to charge me. But I ended up spending a lot of money. Money that I no longer would spend at Sephora for treating people that way. Called customer service and they didn't even do anything about it either read more

I came here earlier today around 11am with my bestie. I'm a proud member of the cake face crew lol . I love makeup but my bestie isn't into makeup as much so I wanted to show her the ropes and get her a few samples. The Sephora in Cerritos and Lakewood lets you get as many samples as you want. Unless it's perfume then you only get 3 samples. We picked 6 samples each and asked a worker that was literally standing there doing nothing to help us out. She quickly said you can only get 3 samples from each category. I said category??? She said "yes only 3 makeup samples 3 perfume and 3 hygiene." So I asked her "when did this start, cause every other Sephora I've been to never had this policy." She stated it's always been a Sephora rule. So we put everything back cause we didn't want to be labeled as the rude black girls with an attitude. I was so upset I never walk into a makeup store and leave empty handed. I politely excused my self and walked out. Everyone in there was trying out makeup getting samples. When we walked in there was a lady who had a small Sephora bag full of samples. Very grudgingly added a second star here, only because one employee here has been very helpful, while others have absolutely not been. I went in shopping for foundation, and asked for the color match thingie with the camera they have. The girl who helped me did the process, looked at my results, and said she didn't think that was right, and went ahead with her own ideas of what would match me. That would be fine, if she had been anywhere close to right. My heritage is Native American with some Italian in it, so I typically fall smack in the middle of the medium tones. Girl comes back and tries ALABASTER on my face. Alabaster. The single lightest shade Clinique has to offer. It doesn't match, obviously, and she is actually puzzled by this. I told her that my last makeup shade was called Walnut, hoping from that she can gather that we should probably try medium tones. Nope. She tries every single shade from the light category and can't believe they don't match, and doesn't believe me when I say I have a medium complexion. I mean I have black hair, dark dark brown eyes, and medium skin, and she sent me home with some shade called something stupid like China Doll, that was a good three shades too light and I had to return it. Well Dani helped me with hydrating primers samples, best foundation for my situation at the moment (especially since having a Mexico trip coming up isn't helping at all) AND she still went out and beyond and hooked it up with a sample of a hydrating clay mask that she says will definitely help! Nice lady greeting customers @ entrance 2. Quick and efficient checkout despite long line 3. Jessica (I think she's a manager) I purchased a Sephora Favorites Perfume Sampler a while ago and came in to redeem my certificate for a full size bottle. I've been to many Sephora stores and I have to say the employees who work here are on point on their information about a product and have the answers for any questions you throw at them! They are very helpful, they listen to the words you are saying and they will give you suggestions to products that may fit your needs. They don't rush you in any way unlike other stores.
