If you are looking for a standout deli experience in Clovis, Sequoia Sandwich Company truly raises the bar for what a local sandwich shop can be. This Central Valley-based chain's Clovis location--its fourth in the region--feels more like an upscale café than a typical sandwich counter. The spacious interior and bustling lunch crowd give it the energy of a full-service restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating filling up quickly during peak hours. What sets them apart from other local sandwich chains is their premium, precision-built sandwiches. Every sandwich is thoughtfully layered with architectural care--balancing texture, flavor, and structure so each bite holds together without becoming soggy or overloaded with condiments. The quality shows in their: House-baked breads (squaw, ciabatta, French roll, sourdough, wheat), each matched intentionally to its filling: freshly sliced, high-quality meats, premium cheeses, and crisp, fresh ingredients. The strategic layering ensures structure, flavor balance, and a clean, satisfying bite from start to finish. Their delicatessen items are made the traditional way--without artificial colors, flavors, or fillers. Everything tastes fresh and house-made because it is. From scratch-made side salads and soups to desserts crafted daily, the quality is consistent across the board. Standout Menu Favorites: Philly Cheesesteak - Savory, chewy, and perfectly seasoned French Dip Sandwich - Tender, flavorful, and satisfying Homemade Chili - Smoky with a subtle zesty kick Banana Pudding - Silky, creamy, and indulgent The macaroni salad, Yukon potato salad, Hot Beef Ortega, the Sicilian, and roasted turkey breast also showcase their commitment to freshness and balance. What really distinguishes Sequoia Sandwich Company from other local sandwich chains is its dedication to precision assembly, top-tier ingredients, and a full deli program made entirely in-house. The roomy, restaurant-style setting enhances the experience, making it a popular and lively lunch destination. If you appreciate thoughtfully crafted sandwiches and authentic deli fare made from scratch, this is a place worth returning to again and again.

It was a busy shopping day and I needed a quick bite. I attempted to go to broilers but they were closed so I came next door to Sequoia. First timer and never really heard about this place before. Walking in it felt old and dated with poor lighting. It was also a little unkept. Service was average. $15 for the grilled chicken sandwich which came with guac, lettuce and tomato +mayo, no onions for me. Overall, the sandwich was not bad. The lettuce was fresh and the bread was good. It's just nothing special that would call me back especially for the price.

Good. Quality. Sandwich. No frills, just good sandwiches. The amount of meat on my club sandwich was awesome

My sister and I split a cracked pepper turkey sandwich and mini bistro salad with balsamic dressing. The girl who rang us up was so sweet and helped us decide. The restaurant was clean inside and out. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather under the trees. Great service, great experience. This is a reliable lunch spot!

Well the weather made it soup and Sandwich time. So Sequoia Sandwich Company delivered. We really didn't get soup this visit however the sandwiches and salads that we did try this visit were delicious. We visited at lunch time so it was busy but seating was available and the outdoor seating was plentiful as well. The counter service was okay and we received our meals in good time. The vibe of the place is a local gathering place folks having a great meal and good conversation. Menu is very large with many great selections. We will definitely be visiting again for a light lunch selection. Stop in say hi and enjoy some comfort food. SYOY

Good sandwiches, service is okay, portions are good, prices are decent. Just sandwich spot, simple, nothing exciting.

We have gotten it multiple times due to the location. My MIL likes the squaw bread. But other than that the flavors are mostly a miss for me. The sauce is too much or the saltiness is too much, ratios just aren't quite right for me.... not my favorite. For the price there are plenty of other options. The ambiance is probably what's best about this place. Very comforting and pleasant. But we mostly grab sandwiches to go. 3.5 stars

Since we've had multiple appointments in Clovis, we've been stopping by this place for lunch quite a bit now. We usually go right about when they open so out order is promptly taken and our food comes out quick. I will say, the sandwiches I've ordered have been consistent (tuna and tomato mozzarella panini). If you're craving just an old fashioned sandwich with no frills this is the spot for you.

Ordered the California Pastrami and it was pretty good! There is a lot of seating indoors and outdoors. Came around 2pm and it was not busy. Sandwiches came out quickly. Parking is easy. Pretty good spot to have a quick lunch.

Love that they have a rewards program! We've been talking about coming here ever since they opened a clovis location but just never had the right opportunity. They have a really nice patio but we decided to dine inside. Eureka has a great lunch menu with several options for $13. I tried the al pastor fish tacos and my hubby got the Eureka burger. Both were good... the burger though was something to come back for. They also have a good happy hour. The drinks coming from the bar looked really good. I decided to try the wild child. It did not disappoint with fresh watermelon and mint and a salty spicy rim. We just couldn't leave without trying a dessert. The bourbon barrel cake was really good. Warm cake soaked with bourbon caramel, topped with candied pecans and served with vanilla ice cream. We had a really good first time experience. Diego our server was super friendly and welcoming. We were promptly seated on the patio, but after 15-20 minutes we left without ever being served. Not one staff member acknowledged us. We still had all our menus on the table, no water, and even had a highchair brought to our table after we asked our server to bring it to us when we were seated--so it was obvious we were there and had not been helped. What made it worse was that the tables around us were seated after us and received water, drinks, and even an appetizer from the same server, while we were completely ignored. When I spoke to the manager on the way out, instead taking ownership, her first response was an apology followed by, "The host must not have told the server." That may explain it, but it doesn't excuse it. The manager had a great opportunity to own the mistake and try to make things right. Instead, she offered an excuse. Very disappointing experience.

Our waitress was very friendly and on top of things throughout. However, neither my husband or I liked our food, especially at the price point. He ordered a burger, fries and a salad. I ordered the peri peri fried chicken sandwich. I imagined that there was some spicy peri peri and then some sweet slaw to compensate and balance, but it arrived with so much peri peri sauce on it the bun was drenched and the sauce was too overpowering. I ended up throwing away half the bun. The chicken itself was great and cooked perfectly. I could see myself ordering this again but asking for only a small amount of the peri peri. I also ordered a different side than fries and was told there was an upcharge. I expected a couple bucks, but it was an extra $10 for the upgrade. Come on! Most places charge less than that for an additional side dish, let alone for a switch. So my husband and I both were charged an extra $10, me for my upgrade and he for his side salad. This made our bill ridiculous for our enjoyment of the food. I know prices have gone up everywhere, but there are plenty of other upscale places around where I can get better food for less.

Let me start by saying I have been to the point many times before and it has been meh I guess okay…read more Patio is nice and spacious and bar has a nice setup, tap can be better in selection. Food is really good, a little pricey but good. The last 3 Fridays our company have been reserving the outdoor tables and we have to say, our interaction with our favorite waitress ms Sarah has made a big different on how we spend our Fridays now. Not only is she very attentive to our needy group, we love her spunky personality, and appreciate her taking the time to making sure all allergy is top priority (myself nuts, shellfish and dairy). We appreciate happy hour specials and never once prior we had a waitress go through the menu mentioning specials until God sent Ms Sarah. I personally love the seasonal cocktail menu and always excited to try them. What really stood out the most in the last visit being just my husband and our 2 little ones are the little things Ms Sarah does like bringing out stickers for my girls and closed container drinks. Having the crust cut off the grilled cheese for my baby girl and bringing out a surprise birthday sundae for my oldest daughter. Ending the night with my favorite buttercake pudding. The girls went on and on about ms Sarah and how they like her so much and love her beautiful nails. Sunday, i came by for a quick bite with one of my girlfriends, I had an incident where I had order pad Thai and when it arrived to my table, ms Sarah walked up to say hello, she was not our waitress that evening and said "Aren't you allergic to nuts?! Why yes! Yes I am! I don't want to get anyone in trouble for negligence but yes I am deadly allergic to peanuts and the pad Thai is full of peanut sauce. Talk about A CLOSE ONE! My girlfriend and I switch dinner. Long story short, it takes simply less than 10 seconds to ask about an allergy nd like I said, god sent Ms Sarah to the rescue! Beside the close call to heaven, Thank you The point for making your restaurant so special to not only for my business but a happy place for my family. Mostly, I wanted to make this review for ma Sarah for being so good to me and helping me venture out trying new food items and cocktails that I would never myself have tried.

Based on the atmosphere alone, this place is amazing. I absolutely love the vibe and setup of this restaurant/ bar. The staff is welcoming , and there are plenty of drink options available. Unfortunately, that is where the fun stops. The menu is too basic for a nice place like this. You will find standard bar options like burgers, sandwiches, and so on. However, places like Yard House do it better. The Point Patio is too nice to have food this boring. For a starter, I opted for the bruschetta which was just ok. I did appreciate the little kick of spice in their version. For dinner, I opted for the short rib tacos and they were pretty sad. Think street tacos with shredded meat , cabbage and salsa. Meh. These little tacos were served with a handful of tortilla chips and salsa. Thank goodness we got a side of sweet potato fries to supplement our meal. The fries saved the day because that aioli sauce was great! I am disappointed. When I walked in , I thought this was going to be a dining experience. Instead , i was wondering if there are any restaurants in Fresno that combine this type of environment -with food that actually tastes good.

Yes it's soup but beyond that the experience in the presentation is completely different. It was a little quieter and more laid-back it felt a little bit more upper class. I feel like I would have to come here two or three times to fully find what my favorite things are. I tried the spicy miso broth. But if I come back, I'll get something different and I'll probably have to try a few before I end up finding my exact favorite. The experience here was more about timing and what you're cooking instead of making a soup with everything in it and then eating it. I would have to say that everything that I had was good. Not really big on tofu and their money bags tasted OK a little bit sweet in the end. The corn was really sweet to me. I like both of the mushroom types that they had their my wife only liked one of the two. My broth came out amazing. I added cilantro, green onion, and their hoisin sauce along with some lime. We also got Ramen noodle. It didn't seem like it was gonna be a lot of food. I felt like we were gonna be hungry by the time we got done eating everything. But it turned out in the end we were both full and not needing anymore. I would say this is a little bit more expensive than JPot. But I think this would be a nicer place to bring a date to overall experiences and presentation is better. I would say the service here was really good. We were well taken care of. I always say that you should make reservations if you're gonna come. We walked in when it didn't look like it was full or busy, but we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. At least there's a little bit to walk around and do around here so you have other shops and places to see if you have to wait. Overall, I would give this a five star review. But my honest opinion is I would rather eat at JPot. But I might only be saying that because I have my favorites over there and I didn't leave here creating a favorite in my mind. I left here thinking next time I come back. I'm gonna try different stuff. Again everything is good
