Three of us came here for dinner last night and had a wonderful time. It's a strange combination of things you wouldn't think work together -- like sort of classy and romantic but also welcoming to children -- but it totally does. The food was great and the service was excellent. Prices were maybe a little on the high side, but not by much, given the big size of the portions. I had one of the specials -- a white thin-crust pizza with figs, prosciutto, and arugula. It was huge and delicious! My companions got the bass and the lobster ravioli, and we split an order of fried calamari among us. Dessert was a big piece chocolate cake and a big slab of tiramisu. Oh, and each of them had a glass of wine. The whole thing came to a bit under $200 (including tax but before tip), which honestly I think is fair. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews here. Second time at this Serafina location and my Husband and I love it. I been to different locations in the City, but this one is the best. My Husband calls it "Da Prime" of Serafina's...lol Service, food and ambiance are excellent. First time my husband ate here we ordered the braised rib lasagna and it was so flavorful. Second time around I ordered the Polpo alla Griglia and the polpo was grilled perfectly. We will be adding this restaurant to our Date Night list. read more

My husband and I are here tonight. I actually went kicking and screaming because I had been here before and didn't care for their menu except the margherita pizza. However I went to accompany him. This time I ordered the penne alla vodka and fried calamari. The calamari was okay but I think it was the frozen rings. The penne alla vodka was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't and it didn't have flavor so I asked for salt, black pepper and Parmesan cheese. My husband ordered bronzino with asparagus and potatoes and he absolutely loved it and ate everything on his plate, but isn't that always the case when we eat out!!!habahaha Anyhoo, I ordered a cleanser drink which was apple, ginger and lime blended together. Enjoyed my experiences dining at Serafina Scarsdale. Hostess is usually friendly, servers attentive and informative. Love the Margherita pizza (no olives), truffle ravioli (must try!) and the bread and butter, haha. Those that I have dined with did the mushroom pizza with sausage (loved!) , and the steak (had a lot of fat) frites with veggies. The Caesar salad was good, wished there were more croutons but it was good nonetheless. Good for a quick bite, dining with friends, family, and for couples. The ambiance was Beautiful, and I felt slightly underdressed. We came from a cardiology apt, next door, so we didn't plan this lunch out. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with our Food & Wine questions! The food was delicious. The very first thing the waiter said was that they couldn't give us the printed all-day menus at our 1:30 reservation. They're only allowed to hand out the brunch menu, but we could order from the internet. What? They also charged me $14 for a tiny side dish of penne. If you look at the cutlet, top left you can see that it's a tiny dish (5 inches in diameter with no sauce, no garnish). I will never go back. My bill was $200.00. There were three of us. We ordered Calamari, Branzino, Avocado Shrimp Salad, and chicken Milanese. For dessert the Santa Risolea pistachio cake. I was too embarrass to say anything about the pasta because we were taking my mom out for dinner after we lost my dad recently. This is greed. This is taking serious advantage of people. A real embarrassment for me. This is what happened to chains when they can't be managed properly, and they lose the original intent of the restaurant. Too big for their britches. Had a similar experience in NYC in the meatpacking distract last summer. Barely any pasta in the dish. Just cheap, and not really that good. Eastchester deserves better. read more

3.75 stars Serafina seems to be busy and successful whereever they open- whether it is White Plains, Scarsdale or NYC... so they have a formula that wins. The food, while not great is very solid and they overperform with style and splash. Pricing is usually a bit high but not enough to get outraged about. Our server and bartender Victor was friendly and efficient and he had lots to cover at the bustling bar. There was a varied audience on an after work Friday night- couples, girl's night out, families.... The place has energy and it is festive. Pricing is a bit high but sort of fair. My chicken Milanese filled the plate and made for an impressive appearance- except that it was pounded too thin and thus a bit dry. The description of that entree underscores the Serafina concept in a nutshell- a bit more style than substance. Nevertheless the pluses out number the minuses and it is a good occasional place to go and watch the crowd. read more

Well the service was excellent. Friendly and attentive, patient with us. I have been here 6 or 7 times and just don't think the food is that good and surprised by the great reviews. Wish there were more chicken dishes, I chose the chicken parmigiana after trying various things past visits and not caring for them at all. It looked delicious, with thin breasts and large servings but it was almost inedible. Hardly any sauce at all, overcooked and so dry I could not eat it. We went here for brunch after an 11.5 mile walk to Ardsley, then an Uber to Scarsdale. My gym buddy and I decided to stop in because I was determined to get a Bellini. The service was excellent, from the hostess, waiter, manager (?), and the additional wait staff. Serafina is beautifully decorated and has a very chic vibe. I was limited on my options and I did not want a salad so I chose the avocado toast with modifications and my friend had it as is, along with the truffle fries. I have dined many places. I have dined in Taiwan, England, Scotland, throughout the United State and some in Canada. My favorites being in New Orleans (Antoine's.) Safafina in Scarsdale, NY could take lessens from any of them as to how to run a restaurant and satisfy your customer. My serving size last week at dinner was abysmal: A simple dish as Caccia e Pepe is nothing but EVOO and pepper on pasta. Simple, cheap and filling peasant food. My $24 serving consisted of a very, very small portion of pasta, barely peppered or oiled and so dry and disappointing that I vow never again to sit at a Serafina table. I was in disbelief when I was served the plate. Did I say it was ridiculously small and insulting? Colloquially speaking, this was a Royal Rip-Off. Hearty Italian cuisine? NOT. To me, Sarafina proved to be little better than a low end pizza parlor but with Patsy's NYC prices. Even the lowly local pizza parlor is a better restaurant. read more

Had a great experience for a quick pizza and drink at Serafina. As I was dressed very casual I requested a bar seat and I was treated very nicely. The drink was delicious, the service was really good, the inside of the restaurant is very clean and has a nice ambiance. We have always enjoyed this place...the food, the service and the beautiful atmosphere. However the last few times were disappointed by some of the changes. Perhaps they have a new chef? Not sure, but the margarita pizza which had been so light, crispy and with delicious sauce and other ingredients is now heavy, very acidic and a big disappointment. Also the Caesar salad, once creamy, cheesy with crunchy lettuce and quite good is now flat and dry. Hoping you can bring back the high quality of these and other dishes. read more

Happy to have another Serafina in Westchester! I have been here twice so far since they opened and have had different experiences both times. The first I came was one week post opening with a cousin of mine and the restaurant was packed but I think also lacking staff (which is understandable during this time). We ordered the calamari and for an entree we both ordered pastas, spicy penne and carbonara, respectively. Second time I ate here was for a birthday in a group of 4. We were seated in a different area and definitely were paid attention more by wait staff. For drinks we all had a specialty cocktail (two rounds). We ordered prosciutto and burrata (must try!) and a salad to start. We also all ordered pasta which didn't disappoint. For the birthday, they did bring out a slice of tiramisu with a candle and it was tasty! read more

From sitting there waiting for refills on my ice tea to bread that we asked for 10minutes ago to the Costco no flavor hamburger from the brunch menu because online it said they had a Lemon Ricotta Pancake dish and they did not when we arrived to the stained table cloth to the undercooked crunchy Pasta Ala Vodka to the Pizza that was a bit burnt to our waitress who didn't seem to give a rats ass that our experience was completely horrible, I do not recommend this place like EVER! read more

We were excited to see the restaurant as the decor looks great. My husband and I decided to take out since it was a bit early for dinner. The pizza we got was sad. 4 olives. Randomly placed on the pizza. No basil. And it was a margarita pizza. I never seen a pizza so sad before. It cost us $21 dollars. The $14 dollars bruschetta came with three baby thinly sliced bread. My husband felt insulted to see the four olives. Called and asked for a refund on the pizza since it doesn't even included what's described on the menu. He got answered with how the basil is a "garnish ". And the 4 olive what they usually do. Who put garnish in the description of their menu?? If that's so we never would recommend anyone to go there. Maybe my enemy. And if anyone is reading this. Save yourself some money as there's many restaurants in New York can make you so much happier. read more

We arrived and entered into a beautiful restaurant. The lighting was low and the place was busy. The staff treated us very kindly and took good care of us carrying around a new born baby. The food was good. The calamari, bruschetta as an appetizer were very good. I recommend them. The kids had the marghrita pizza. For the entree, my wife had a shrimp with pasta and my mother in law had the lasagna. All very good when I asked for a little to try. I saw a lot of couples and families with older children. I'd recommend that instead with a baby. Serafina Restaurant, a newly opened location on White Plains Road in Scarsdale, delivers a dining experience above and beyond your usual chain restaurants. The ambiance is electric as soon as you walk in the door with a brightly decorated dining room with sunny yellow pops of color on chairs and decor, walls and walls of wine; and the beautiful golden copper tiled oven! The staff are all professionally dressed and bubbly! The menu is diverse and has many unusual twists to old Italian fare! A lengthy wine and cocktail list is available as well to make this a dinner to remember! Our charming and knowledgeable server Danielle helped us with our selections and quickly got our drink orders. She suggested we started with a "Tartufo Nero Pizza" which was infused delicately with truffle and was exquisite! We also ordered a "Margherita Pizza" which was amazing with fresh basil and lots of mozzarella and a nice sauce on a perfectly baked crust! Yes, we had a singe on the bottom! The other appetizer was a very appealingly plated "Buffalo Mozzarella" with juicy red tomatoes and Basil with crostini! Our entrees were the "Penne Alla Vodka" and the "Branzino al Cherry Tomatoes" which came in a delectable white wine sauce with roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus. But the entree talk of the table was the huge "Chicken Parmesan" which was the size of a medium pizza served on a wood paddle! Serafina, have ya seen her? Lovely design, a very spacious and bright seating area. A little loud for my eyes and ears but nonetheless we were sat in a quieter and dimmer spot. Was cautiously optimistic when my pupils began to scan the menu. They use the actual Italian terminology and use a wide variety of pastas. However, as I actually began to browse I started to get a sense this was a glorified chain restaurant. Linguini Bonotucci is intuition is usually correct, but I'll track back to the wall like Willie Mays later. Appetizers were ordered first and brought out prior to our main course decision and therefore I would get a real live time assessment of what was to come later. The bruschetta was below average, the fried calamari was ok and I happened to glance someone else is meatballs which I won't comment on. But I did judge them and it helped me decide on my dinner. No way, after the apps, was I trusting 90% of those pasta dishes. I wanted to stay away from any sauce, and stay away from pasta. Wow, look at you, reader. You are getting an absolute delving into the mind of a master orderer. A guy that knows what he's doing. Think Scorsese of the menu game, it's the details folks. Even if you are stuck at a spot that you may not love you can always get the best dish and still be content! I had a feeling the Cacio e Pepe and the Carbonara would somehow become bonified Mac&Cheese. Gnocchi di Mamma? Whose mamma? Spare me. I know that Italian host doesn't actually run this he's just there to sell this show. Farfalle for $25 dollars? I'll go make that dish at home grazie mille (thank you very much... for those lingually challenged.) I didn't want to disrespect the location too much just in case my intuition was wrong and bc the atmosphere was decent, so I decided I would not get steak. Heads up, if you're an Italian and ever get stuck at Olive Garden just go for the steak, you'll save yourself the PTSD you may develop. Anyways I spied with my little eyes a dish that can't go wrong but is still Italian and that was Pollo Milanese. The meals came out and I immediately knew I had made the right decision. The Chicken Milanese was actually pretty decent and it was massssive which made my eyes happier than my tummy probably was. But I needed the protein. Grrrrrrr muscles! The others all did pasta and I gave them a try. Listen they weren't the worst renditions I've ever had but they were unnecessarily creamy just as anticipated and worst of all the pasta was not consistently Al Dente. That's just a major major red flag simple as that. I think Neanderthals were cookin' their spaghett Al dente with no issues 300,000 years ago. I won't disrespect that species, but for those unaware they have characteristically smaller craniums than us current surviving and surging humans. Anyways enough of the history lesson. My own meal was solid, my colleagues were fooled into enjoying theres although I wouldn't have stood for it. And so I came to the realization that this is like an upscale chain Italian restaurant for the Non-Italians in the region to enjoy. That's fine, no issue with it but you should just know before you come. Especially for the Italians that may think oh maybe this will be a good tryout, it won't but it also won't make you cry. You'll be content enough, maybe slightly under content like I was (I.e. the due stelle, 2 stars for you fugazi.) Anyways. Desserts. Nutella Pizza. Fantastic, go ahead and get it with no worries. A real bright spot, great size I probably could've had it as my entree and left insanely impressed. The real deal. This place though? Not the real deal. What a beautiful new addition to Scarsdale. I've always loved the NYC spots and am happy to have one closer to home. The space itself is beautiful and spacious. Plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating. I love the lighting in the evening. We had the bruschetta, burrata and goat cheese & spinach salad. For mains we tried the carbonara (this was my favorite), rigatoni & steak. We finished off with tiramisu and coffee. Service was wonderful and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner as well. I've had Serafina a few times - as long as I stick to the homemade pastas, I think pretty highly of the meal. I ordered delivery and got the paglia e fieno. Food arrived hot. The pasta itself tasted fresh and good, though the sauce was a bit bland. I tried my daughter's pizza and husband's pasta which seemed like cacio e Pepe and enjoyed both of them.
