Venturing out for a quick lunch on the go and stumbled upon this place. I had the Chicago dog minus peppers, he had the Chicago style polish dog. Pleasantly surprised!! Perfectly cooked, fresh toppings, at a great price. Service was good and fast. We were the only ones there at the moment so not too loud either. Very clean inside too. Decent hot dog (Chicago style of course) and a Chicago style polish. Buns could have been steamed. They were fresh but not soft enough for my liking. Guy at the counter was very nice and polite. Would return for sure. read more

Came across Serena's via DoorDash recommendation in the area so friend and I decided to give it a try. Can I tell you that I was impressed that the fries were hot and kinda crispy when delivered. Would love the option on DoorDash to select no salt and cook extra crispy. We decided to share the burger so ordered a double and it was nice size thick patties; not smashed patties and meat was well seasoned. We wanted to try the gyro meat and it was well seasoned and tender. I cut some up and put on my salad for lunch today. I will definitely order from Serena's again! read more

Anyone in this area looking for chicken tenders, this place should suffice. The place looks like it opened up recently. I walked in and there wasn't much of a line. it didn't take them too long for the food and I got it to go. The ambiance seemed cozy & modern; there may have been more room in the back of the kitchen as well though. I ordered the Chicken Tenders Dinner which came with 5 tenders and french fries. The tenders were average with a pretty good clean taste. Nothing at all to write home about, but definitely seems acceptable for any chicken tender lover. The first thing i noticed when i opened the plastic container was that at least 1 or 2 tenders was missing. It turns out they're just a little smaller in size than i expected (they were all accounted for). It looked & tasted like they brought them out of a freezer and dumped them into a fryer. Some really nice people working here and their food is great. It's nice to have a place serving a good variety of fast food that's open late on Division Street again. Five Faces used to be my go-to late night spot on Division Street for burgers and hot dogs, but Serena's Grill is a welcome addition to replace them after they closed. read more

We live in the neighborhood and this is our go to spot for take out. The owner and staff are always super friendly and everything we've ordered from there has been delicious. The Gyros, Italian beef, burger, and Greek chicken are all very tasty and reasonably priced. The decor highlighting Chicago sports inside the restaurant is a cool touch too. Worthy replacement for Five Faces. IYKYK. Delicious burgers. Hot fries. Giant crispy onion rings. I picked up takeout cheeseburgers for me and my wife. The owner pointed out the daily specials, but I already had a taste for burgers. When I got home I discovered he had put an order of chicken and rice (one of the specials) in the bag. It was delicious and the nicest customer relations move I've ever seen. You need to give them a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

Roasted chicken with salad ($15). Salad was fresh, dressing okay (too much oil). Ordered the roast chicken, if you order Greek they dress it with lemon/oil. If you get BBQ they give you BBQ. Ate half and took the rest home. Not so flavorful as I expected. They gave me an additional half free to take home. The chicken tasted old/gamey the next day. Great fast food on Division in a prime location. Sure to be a hit with the late night crowd. I went for dinner on a Thursday to check out the new spot and was very happy with what I found. The space is very clean and decorated with some nice odes to Chicago sports and history. A friendly staff member took my order with a smile and had it cooked up fresh before I knew it. I got a hot dog and some chicken tenders and fries. All were hot, fresh, and delicious for a very fair price. When Five Faces left the neighborhood it left a void. We live down the street and decided to stop in during Oktoberfest since Serena's is new to the block. Oh. My. God! We've had it twice this week alone since. So far, we've only tried the gyro dinners. Wherever they get the meat for their gyros is amazing. It's hands down the freshest meat we've ever had in a gyro! Doesn't taste like "fake meat" like some of the gyros I've had before. Also... their fries are SO GOOD! We've been so pleasantly surprised. I'm pretty picky with takeout food and this is definitely our new go-to. The Gold Coast burger (gyro burger) is amazing! I also got the Greek fries but I wouldn't get it again. Not my favorite type of fry (it's the crinkle fries that you would get at school as a kid). Definitely coming back to try the rest of the burger and sandwiches!! read more
