    Antipasto salad with balsamic

We booked a reservation for 12 people between lunch and dinner and they were very accommodating and service was excellent for our big group. They have a "bread bar" at dinner time but they set it up early for us. It's a peculiar place but kitschy and fun. The menu will have something for everyone. The food was average but came out so quick especially for our large party. They make their desserts in house and had a candle for our grandads birthday. They saw us taking pictures and offered to take for us which was very nice. I wish my antipasto salad was chopped more, but it tasted great (I chopped up the leftovers and had for lunch the next day). My mom and partner loved the polish platter and the whole table loved the crab dip. My dad said the bread on his meatballs sub was so fresh. We had a great time with a great view!

Excellent find on the bay at Milsboro DE. New Years Eve. No reservations, no crowds no waiting. With my son, Daughter-in-Law & Wife. Interesting decor. Reminder of New Orleans

I had the seafood Benedict I really enjoyed it. I personally think it is the best. If you never had it before the yolk is not completely cooked so if you don't like your eggs that way skip it or ask to have eggs poached longer. There was shrimp and scallops on side of egg. And I had Scrapple on the side. They cook it crispy the way I like it. My father in law had a cheese omelet which he enjoyed. We live in Lewes so we enjoy going there on days we feel like going for a ride. To be fair to other reviews only have been here for breakfast. And I always order the same thing.

Unique is how I can best describe this restaurant. I drove up on a Monday at 5p. I was the first of my party to arrive. Both parking lots were empty. I saw 3 people standing near the building and once I entered the front door, they entered the back. They were workers. They are also open for lunch but I was the only person there at 5pm. The umbrellas on the ceiling and the waterside location are beautiful pluses that can't be denied. However the food fell short in my opinion. I had 2 meatballs with spaghetti and sauce. It wasn't bad tasting just bland. I added salt to every bite. No bread is brought to the table. You serve yourself from a central table at the front of the dining room. It isn't covered or kept warm and there are plenty of fries. The portions are huge and our server, Fran, did everything right. I would try it again just to make sure I'm not making any hasty decisions here.

The place is perfect for a beautiful summertime view of the Indian River Bay. We enjoyed our lunch but loved the massive view. You could see all the way to the Indian River Bridge. For our meal I had chef salad. It was very fresh but only used iceberg lettuce. Would prefer spring mix or arugula. The appetizer, pot-stickers, was very good, served with orange-ginger sauce. Their cheese steak was fine, we are use to more more seasoning. Wish they had an option to add some fries for 2$ when ordering a sandwich. The bread basket cost 4$ at lunch. It included 3 small pieces of delicious tomato pie, spinage pie and assorted fresh hot rolls. Will order that everytime we go. Truly if you are lucky enough to sit by the window or eat outside.... the view is amazing. Worth going just for the views!!! Inside... I liked the mixed decor. I read other reviews that found the Italian Asian theme confusing. We thought it looked fun. Our waitress, Susan, was friendly and informative. Will definitely return. Looking forward to seeing the sunset while enjoying drinks on the dock.

When you are in a resort town it's wonderful to find gems off the beaten path. The hot breads included tomato pie and spanikopita. Service was immediate and we overlooked the bay. The decor was fun. The food was wonderful. They have an very eclectic menu and the chef truly delivers. Their desserts are baked on site. Don't overlook this

This is truly a hidden gem in DE!…read more I was visiting family over Mother's Day weekend, and we had reservations for 5pm (note: reservations are STRONGLY encouraged for prompt seating). As a Baltimore native, I'm used to the charm of the Little Italy restaurants; pulling up to La Dolce Vita had me scratching my head. It is truly not much to look at from the outside or inside, but-- as my grandmother always taught me-- never judge a book by its cover. I'm glad I didn't. The 2 polite servers were already busy when we got there, but we were seated quickly and provided with our drinks and table bread promptly. The menu is small yet cozy and familiar. The specials were relatively extensive, also (maybe for the holiday?). My family ordered 2 appetizer specials (escargot & clams casino)-- both were alright, but I'm also not a huge fan of either. Plate presentation was nothing fancy, but still looked very nice. With any entree, you receive a side salad-- a small display of fresh spring greens with tomatoes and cucumber. Don't be off-put by the packaged salad dressing. Our table ordered: lamb Ossobucco (special), veal & shrimp Marsala, and chicken parmigiana. Due to the increasing patrons, our main dishes took a little longer to come out, but it was nice to catch up with family. Again, the presentation of the main dishes were nothing gourmet, but hearty and clean. The Marsala has a sweet flavor, which is not usually how I make it, but it was still rich and tasty. I had the chicken parmigiana, and was surprised to see that the side angel hair pasta came with meat sauce-- I later realized that it's listed on the menu (oops!). Their pasta sauce is absolutely delicious, and I wish I ordered more for bread-dipping! Save room and pack up half of your meal, because you *WILL* want their delicious, homemade desserts. Our table shared tiramisu and a cannoli-- let me tell you, they put Baltimore's Vaccaro's to shame. The cannoli was probably the best I've ever had, and the tiramisu was so light and fluffy without an overwhelming coffee flavor. For 3 people (no alcoholic drinks), the total was about $150. This is incredible for the delicious food and large portions! Please please please go here for the best Italian food on the shore!

Have been here now a few times for takeout as well as for seated dining. Every time the food has been excellent, but for this review, I'll write about our latest in-person experience. In a summer Thursday, our family had a table for seven as we went for our son's birthday and had a combination of broiled seafood, steak, sides, steamed seafood, salads, and cocktails. Crab stuffed-mushrooms, blue crab, snow crab, lobster tails, filet mignon, crab cakes, gulf shrimp. All cooked perfectly. The cocktail variety was vast and for the ~12 or so that we enjoyed around the table, each got great reviews, but the michelada may have been of the best I've ever had. Regarding the atmosphere, there are essentially three sections of the building, the bar room area, the dining area, and the market/kitchen. The bar room has live music most nights, and if you are in the dining area, it reaches you at just the right volume. Service is not slow, but definitely paced at a lesser speed than the restaurants on coastal highway for sure; if you are with good company, it works out nicely! Well done Crab Barn, we will continue to keep coming back. Love the local, unassuming vibe of this place that also carries excellent food and friendly staff!

My wife had the cheesesteak rolls and she loved them. I'm a food critic so this place gets 5 stars from me. Also, I want to note that their cocktail sauce is awesome. I know it's usually horseradish and ketchup, but they do something different which elevated it.
