By far the worst dip manicure I have ever gotten. I originally went to get a gel one and decided before application that I was going to get dip. The lady doing my nails gave me issues about it and proceeded to file and drill my nails roughly. The pedicure i got with regular polish was awful and you can see the paint streaks throughout it. They also had dirty files and nail items that I am sure have never been changed or cleaned before. read more

Beautiful nail salon! Lots of seating for manicures and pedicures. I was able to call and schedule an appointment the same day which was awesome! However, while everything started out seemingly great and my nail color lasted a long time, I did not enjoy my experience here. When getting the leg message during my pedicure, I thought the tech was going to scrub my skin off. To remove nail polish on your fingers they have you soak your hand in a bowl of remover which dries out my hands. I prefer to have each finger individually wrapped to soak and remove. As my manicure was wrapping up, the staff member from the front desk not even my own tech, informed me I would be charged extra for my previous nail color removal since it was challenging to get off?! I came in with dip powder and a gel top coat. Why that warrants an extra charge for removal is beyond me AND that's something that needs to be addressed when appointments are scheduled OR at the very least the beginning of my actual appointment there. read more

This place is amazing. You've probably seen my review for the other nail bar, but this one is even better. Laonnie did an awesome job with my nails and they were super affordable. This atmosphere was fun and my nails turned out perfect! Enjoyed my choice of beverage, while there. Also, there soak off was insanely fast! I had an acrylic overlay done on my natural nails & it's been a great decision! Definitely recommend! Late review so no other photos & a little growth, but doesn't chance my review! I was in a pinch for time and tried a new nail place because of its proximity to work and late hours. I am so grateful that they were able to accommodate me as late as 630 with no issues and a smile. Staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the work was just okay and the salon needed a tidy. Just seemed chaotic and messy, and I kept getting fruit flies in my face. I asked to keep them long and she filed them shorter than they were when I went in. They ended up being pretty clunky and asymmetrical. I think my nail tech may have felt rushed. Even though I was already home 10 minutes before they were advertised to close. So we were not really short on time. Will do in an absolute pinch. And it was nice that it was about $12 cheaper than I usually pay for just a dip change. Will do in a pinch, and again the staff was very friendly. But I am definitely not. I will say I have never had a nail experience quite like this before. On 10/28, I asked for a pure black shellac mani pedicure as Halloween was around the corner. My total came out to $126 plus a $25 cash. Also parking was $7 per hour after the first hour. My nail shape was done well, however upon getting home, I noticed my shellac polish was "wet" and had certain nails already pealed from the center as through it was not cured all the way. (Pictures 5-7) Since they were closed I called the next day as was told to come in to fixed the issue, and paid $7 for parking again but by nighttime the polish had done the same again. (Pictures 1-4). After calling, I was texted from someone in their business telling me they would refund me $30 for the polish. And then they asked me to come in again. To which I thought was unfair because I would have to pay to park again and have another shop fix their mistake. Up until this point, I could excuse the service as a polish issue, but this is where the business completely disrespected me. I walked in and was immediately met with yelling ( when I was very particular about not yelling or blaming anything, but attempting to find a solution that was fair to the point that I had spent almost $165 at this point to have a terrible experience and having improperly cured nails is associated with fungi aka greenies). After yelling at me and saying that it was my fault for choosing a polish that would not cure... but it was a polish in their shop. I was offered a $30 refund and for them to take my nails off. The point that got me the most was that I was treatened by a woman who I presumed is the owner, that I left a review being HONEST, with pictures, they would end my $30 refund. Despite what this owner might think of me as a young woman, integrity is worth more than a disrespectfully offered $30 when $165 had been wasted. If I can save one person from the experience that I had here it would be worth it. I walked there so not sure what the parking situation is like. I had a gentleman do my nails and he did a phenomenal job. The paint job was amazing. Came here on a Saturday with my 9 year old for mani/pedi day. The location is amazing Right in the middle of the Gulch within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted and welcomed. I explained to the receptionist that I'd booked the appointment for a gel mani, but was considering tips. She said they could do that, but I'd have to wait on a specific nail tech. No problem! I sat at the bar and my daughter was in the pedi chairs directly behind me. The space is laid out well--very efficient. And very cool decor and light fixtures! HOWEVER, it was dirty. The bathroom is pretty gross and there's a weird smell throughout the place. I showed my nail tech what I wanted and she was confident that she could do it. She ground my real nails down pretty aggressively and cut my cuticle with the drill, drawing blood in three different spots before she was done. Honestly, the process was painful and I should've spoken up. The end result looked pretty good, but I ended up paying $95 for tips and dip. Three days later and the top shiny coat is peeling off. Also, their website listed a child's mani/pedi for a reduced price, but when we arrived, they told me the old owner won't release the website to them and wouldn't honor the prices. Stopped by Gulch Nail Bar on a Saturday morning while visiting the city. The salon is cute and trendy as well as conveniently located near restaurants and retail. The place was very busy when I arrived, and I didn't have an appointment. I was informed the wait would be 20 minutes. I walked next door to Starbucks for that time. When I returned I was immediately seated, but I waited another 20 minutes before I was served. My technician was Kat who was lovely! Great attention to detail and very polite. She also immediately offered me a drink(Chardonnay or merlot). This is probably the most expensive nail salon I've been too($35 for gel manicure and $45 for a regular pedicure + tip). I wouldn't recommend it only because of the price, but otherwise the service and quality were great! Parking is in the same building as the nail salon. It's free the first hour(and they may validate after that but I didn't ask). read more

I thought I was paying $35+ for an acrylic set but it was $55+ 2. They lied and told me I can't do regular polish on acrylics. LIES. They just want to up charge me and make me pay $70+ for my set. (They ended up doing regular polish on my nails) 3.  IT COST $5 TO HAVE YOUR NAILS FILED????? 4. They gave me attitude when I wanted to pay after my nails were done. They wanted me to pay upfront but i don't feel comfortable paying a tip upfront 5. The guys shaped my nails but they were still square-ish. I asked if he would shave the sides alittle more and I shit you not.... he snaps and says "WHAT SHAPE DO YOU WANT?! You can not change the shape after i have already shaped them." RUDE 6. My nails look bad. HAHA I have really low standards when it comes to my nails but the acrylic is really thick. I asked them to shave it down and thin it out and he told me "no, then they will break." .... no. So now i look like i have thick acrylics and truthfully, they look already grown out and i JUST got them done. NOT HAPPY. Also a pedicure is like $85+ Overall a 1/10 experience. First, the owner told me they don't have the color I was looking for. I ended up finding it myself. Then, I was stunned that the owner did not allow my husband to sit in a massage chair while he waited 45 minutes for me to get a manicure. Every single chair was empty. I have never experienced that at any salon before. Brenda, the first manicurist, had an attitude and said she could not do my French the way I requested. I am incredibly frustrated with this service and the overall end result of my full set. I received a full acrylic set, brand new and my nails are already falling off and its been 10 days... It was not a cheap service either! I could tell the man who was doing my full set was rushing, and wasn't being very attentive to detail with my service. I am incredible mad because my nails are falling off, and I just got them done recently. I am not aggressive with my nails whatsoever, and they all are just starting to naturally fall off. She wanted to make sure I was completely taken care of and relaxed. I got a basic pedicure and she gives a great lower leg massage! She was even kind enough to let this sleepy traveler nap in a massage chair lol I ended up getting a gel manicure on my natural nails. I came here because it's a 5 minute walk from where I'm staying. I got the organic pedicure that's a 45 minute service. Anyway the guy doing my pedicure didn't even clean under my toenails or along the sidewall of the nail to remove the gunk that builds up over time. Just that clipping technique that doesn't really get to the root of the problem. He Burns me with the hot towel and burns me with the paraffin wax. The hot towel came straight out of the steamer and he didn't shake it off for a second or two, just put directly on my skin. I yelp, he says "oh is it too hot?" I'm shocked because wtf do you mean. The wax comes and there isn't anything to cool it before dipping my foot in it. I told him it's too hot and he tells me it's not. Let's just say don't be fooled by aesthetics here. It's a gorgeous place. The chairs look new and nice and the high ceilings makes it feel more spacious. I didn't make an appointment so I didn't think to search reviews for the best employee to ask for. Also the music feels inappropriate for a nail salon. A lot of club songs and a lot of cursing/vulgar lyrics that just feels awkward to listen to. Especially when the songs are using the N word or derogatory terms toward women. My husband and I in here for a quick pedi after breakfast at Biscuit Love. They got us in quickly and the reception staff and the nail technicians were all very sweet and did a good job. They have OPI and Essie in a large variety of colors. The salon was also very clean. The only reason I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 is the price compared to value. Nothing special about the pedi, but the prices were about $10 higher than they are here in San Diego. They have a captive audience and they're capitalizing on it. read more

My friend and I came in on a Tuesday night around 5pm but still had to wait 20 minutes for a pedicure. I was hoping to get a manicure too but it was about a 40 minute wait so I didn't end up getting one. It would definitely make sense to make an appointment. I love the space and they have a variety of polishes. It's also BYOB or they also offer complimentary wine which is always a plus! My pedicure was great but a bit pricey. A basic pedicure is $35 plus the tip, and a basic manicure is $25. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll be back! read more

I was torn between 4 and 5 stars simply because of a certain price and lack of price list. For starters, I was visiting Nashville and got a really early flight. I went to Milk and Honey and found the Gulch Nail Bar a few doors down to kill time. I really just needed a pedi, but I decided to get a gel polish change. I figured the area was a little shi shi foo foo, so I was not expecting hood prices. However, I was not expecting $40 for a dang gel polish change either. I take the blame myself for not confirming the price before, but they should have a menu list for ALL services printed. I also sensed some sneaky business practices because when I first got there, I heard $30 in the midst of a language I was not familiar with when I initially asked. I feel like I was purposefully overcharged because I declined a fill-in. I did not decline a fill-in because I was being cheap (although that's my business), but rather I only let one person do my nails regularly (shoutout @ashleynailedit on IG). All that to say, my pedi was great! My visit was on 12/29 and my pedi started to chip away last week. I took my nails off prematurely, but the gel polish did last two weeks and probably would have longer. Kevin did my gel polish change and he was amazing! He was so precise and he took his time. I was like zamn the entire time, I wonder what his full set hittin on?! Every time I thought about that expensive price, I looked at my nails and thought "Kevin lucky he did a good job." This is my second time visiting the Gulch Nail Bar. The first time I just got a regular old plain nail polish manicure...it lasted about 1 day before I chipped them. This time around I went with a dip nail polish manicure, as I've heart people rave about them! We went with the Nail Bar because there was no wait, everywhere else in town that we called was PACKED full, and you needed a reservation...so it was definitely nice to just walk in and receive the services right away. They turned out looking very nice, I was quite happy with the quality of them. On to the price of them, it was $50 for just the manicure part (no massage fluff stuff), an extra $5 if you need a removal process before hand, and then of course tip. It's a bit steep in my opinion, but I also don't regularly get my nails done so I'm not sure of the comparison to other nail places. On a customer service stand point, the nail technician was fairly nice, but the receptionist was a bit impatient with me when I was trying to pick out a color. If i'm going to spend $70+ on my nails...I want it to be a color that I love, soooo I need my time, lol. But overall, it was a pleasant business and I got a pretty long lasting manicure. read more

Maybe I'm just used to how New York nail salons work but this place has so much potential and could be amazing with a few little tweaks. The receptionist/front desk attendant isn't very clear. When you walk in, it's hard to tell where to wait, what to do or if you should go ahead and grab a spot at the bar. It starts the whole experience off on the wrong foot. The nail polish selection, at least for regular polish, is a little underwhelming. At first glance, it looks like there are tons of colors but once you start looking, you realize it's the same colors over and over again. That said, my actual manicure was solid. For $30 (including tip), you do expect a little something extra. Maybe a mini-shoulder massage, an extensive hand massage or something. The overall experience here is a little lackluster but you can totally see how great it could be with a little work. read more

I have been living in Nashville for 9mon know and have been going to this salon for my entire time here. Every month I spent $200 + at their establishment and every month the employers have been rude, late to my appointments and very short to me verbally. I got to the same man every time and always tip 25%. I realize this is not a place that is welcoming to African American women, they go out of their way to make women of other races feel comfortable, get them water, wine ask how their day was and here it is never discuss prices. Every time I come to the salon before I'm served I'm told the price of everything as if I wasn't there 3 weeks ago. PLZ Black women they don't want our business go some where else. read more
