An Unbelievable Act of Honesty at Kia - Thank You, Anthony Mena! ​I bought a car from Kia on Saturday, December 14th. My salesperson, Anthony Mena, was absolutely fantastic--he even stayed late after closing to walk me through everything. ​When I got home, I realized my engagement ring was missing. It was a cold day, and I knew it must have slipped off at the dealership. I went back the next morning and searched everywhere to no avail. I was heartbroken, devastated that it was gone for good. ​Ten minutes later, I answered a "spam risk" call, and it was Anthony! He had found my ring in the vehicle we had been in! ​I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by his effort and honesty. This is part two of my review of Kia, regarding the cap that they knew did not match my vin# and forced it on anyway. I went to have it removed and get a refund. The staff could not help me because they could not find my invoice and the manager was not on site. Given that they have very little knowledge of anything, I waited for at least 30 minutes before I got to speak to anybody and was told they didn't have my information and asked for my invoice number. Youd think it's a very simple ask and I'd be out rather quickly. I wasted two hours. Nobody knew what was happening. About 45 minutes in they took my car around back and told me that they would have the cap removed. It took 3 minutes for them to shove it on and I waited for about 2 hours total. I got so fed up I went back to speak to a tech, to find my car unattended And on! Just wasting my charge ! When I asked the tech for an ETA, he said "I know nothing about that car" Given he was the only one there I told him what I needed done and then I needed it done now and I had to assist him with the removal of the cap. It took no less than two minutes upon trying to leave. I realize they lost my car key. Usually they leave it in the car. I'm not sure what the deal is with my car but they lost my car key and three staff members had to look for it for five minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. No apology no acknowledgment of the wasted time because of their incompetence. I have nothing else to add to this because I think this interaction speaks for itself on Kia serramonte, customer service, and quality of service. No need for another generic response. There is nothing you can do to make this better. read more

Unfortunately there were no white Carnivals, but Jullian was able to order what I wanted. Stock was limited so I had to wait for it to be delivered from Korea. The new 2025 Kia Carnival is a highly sought out van so I was surprised that Jullian was able to keep this reserved for me. I truly appreciate his loyalty towards me. He made the whole buying process so easy and at the price I wanted. He also gets extra points for staying after his shift to make sure I get through finance and personally delivering the car all the way to Hercules the next day! So this is my firsthand experience as a customer of Serramonte Kia. Jillian sold me a new Kia Sportage on a Friday and the next day the temperature light came on. I took the car in on Sunday asking what was wrong with a brand new car and was told to just take it to service and get it fixed through warranty. My expedience with Jillian was great until I came back because there was a problem with my new car. Then my experience became cold and my concerns were disregarded. I don't want to have to fix a brand new car. I bought a new car so I would not have to deal with problems you typically find with used cars. Instead of being happy and excited that I have a new car, I am scared and anxious this car will cause more problems in the future and cost me a lot of money and heartache. From my experience, Serramonte Kia's good reviews online do not tell the whole truth. My experience has been disappointing, scared, and feeling like I have been scammed into buying a known defective vehicle. My car is now in their service center waiting to get diagnosed. read more

These guys are crooks. Do not bring your car here watch out for them. They never contact you back and they scam they are ineffective and poor at their job. if you're looking for a place in the Bay Area to get your Kia serviced do not use this place. After 2 days in the shop they called asking for another two days late into the 2nd day. No idea of issue felt shady for sure, unprofessional in the least. The service manager is not helpful knows the right things to say to cover his butt, but not to get your car fixed. it is an office of incompetence at the service department. We were charged for a "diagnostic" without any diagnosis of the problem. When I spoke to the service manager he communicated in a way to cover his butt but not to address the issue. Don't waste your time or money. I promise you will be disappointed nice enough, but not hard workers to get your car fixed and really a nice and way of making you feel comfortable, but then realizing you've been duped. read more

Imagine this scenario. You have your kids in the car. The safety locks are on. You're humming along... then something happens. You rush out of the car, try to open the backdoor, and then instead of the door opening the handle pops out. Only you don't need to *imagine* this scenario, because there's a Technical Service Bulletin that describes this exact scenario, for the exact model of my Kia. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10151899-9999.pdf Also, you should know that this case is not covered by the warranty. Now that piece is not on Serramonte Kia, they don't make that rule. What is on them and why is this a 1* star review? Well, first, is the total lack of any kind of taking ownership for the situation. While you don't set policy, you could also acknowledge this is a real issue and attempt to do something about it. But more than that, there's also the $285 you charged me in labor to diagnose the fact that... when you pull on the handle, it pops off. All that after we showed the service bulletin to you to explain what was happening. Hope that the money was worth more to you than this review! read more

My Kia needed service and I called around for awhile looking for someone who would take my car as most of the shops were backed up, I was fortunate enough to get a hold of Michael who runs the service center at Serramonte Kia. He has been amazing and I am a customer for life. He spoke to me in layman terms, never once made it seem like I didn't know what was going on with my car, kept me updated with anything that was happening including delays. It was a long process as there continued to be things wrong with my car, more in depth than initially thought, but he remained patient and gracious, and I remained totally grateful. All of my friends who have Kia and Hyundai, have been told that this is their new shop, and when, and if we are ever in the market for a new car, we know this will be our first stop. Had an appointment for 9:15. When I arrived there were about 100 cars there and they said it would be 4-5 hours before they can look at my car. It was a recall check that ended up taking them 5 minutes. Why even have appointments. Even the employees there seemed to know this is terrible. Offered me a ride home while I waited but then took me on an over 1 hour tour of SF before getting to my house (which was about 10m from dealership). When my car was finished, they told me a ride back would be a 1.5 hour wait. Never go here. Don't buy from them. Don't get service from them. read more
