Not sure if we are all eating at the same restaurant because the food here is really gross. I ordered 2 chicken soft tacos. With no rice only beans and they gave me rice anyways. I don't think the chef listens or reads the orders correctly because he got 3 other peoples orders incorrect as well just while I was standing in line. This place got 1 start because is convenient locate near my office, I have the misfortune to eat here today at lunch and the tacos al pastor were all burned meat with a gross guacamole; the beans look gray and taste old, 30 minutes after I finish my lunch, I got sick from this food. They can't be crunchy shells, they can't have cheese, they don't need tomatoes...a good taco needs only cilantro....and if you like them, onions but I dont, so none for me. Then you look to your left and you are accompanied with a salsa bar equipped with cilantro, lime, onions, lemons and this jalapeno salsa that is excellent, like I'm addicted excellent. Their red mild salsa sauce stuff looks just like El Pollo Loco red frothy salsa...but it's rather tasty. My only gripe is that on taco Tuesday...the meat cuts suck, chicken if fatty, and isn't as good :( don't go on Tuesday for tacos... First time here today. It's a nice clean family owned restaurant. The owner was very friendly so that's the main reason I rated it 5 stars. It's so difficult to get great customer service these days. He told me they've been in business for 13 years. So they must be doing it right! I ordered the breakfast burrito (no meat) which normally comes with just eggs & beans $4.25 but I added potatoes, rice & cheese so each was about .80 cents extra so it came to $7 total. That should be a negative 1 star! My husband went here this morning and bought a chorizo,egg & Potato breakfast burrito and the first bite I could taste that something wasn't right. Something was old and tasted funny, my husband took a bite and tasted the same thing. He took both halves of the burrito and threw it away an in a matter of mins we were both running to the bathroom. Well, I've dined in there several times only because it is right by my work and convenient. Their cheese enchiladas have little or no cheese. When I called to let them know about this, the owner argued with me. After telling him that this was my experience more than one occasion, he was rude but offered to remake the dish or refund my money. The point was that I took the time to call him to let him know that there was a problem. He had a flip attitude and I will not be dining there anymore no matter the convenience or not. The shrimp taxis are my favorite, the seasoning is savory along with the slight sweetness of the cabbage slaw. It wakes my mouth for sure. The tastes blend together well.
