I bought a car last year through a dealer and the dealer goes through service credit union so I really didn't have a choice unless I paid off the car in full when I bought the car. Today I want to pay off my loan in order to do that. I have to transfer money from my personal account into their savings account, but with the interest the payoff today won't be the payoff in three business days when the transfer goes through. If I do it over the phone and pay off the amount it's $10 for a fee. I worked at a credit union and this is horrible customer service. If I ever get another car loan and they say we use service credit union I'm walking out the door. When you call the number it's in 24 seven automated line with no option to talk to a live representative. I had to lie and say that I wasn't a member so they can try to make another member out of me and then finally they transfer me over to the loan department. Never again. read more

How is it every time they do an update they manage to lock me out of my account and then when I try to call I get somebody over in India that can't speak any English to help me get back into my account ?! I left this Credit Union once I am leaving again and I am not coming back this is getting ridiculous. Worse credit union. Do not finance with them for any type of auto loan. They force insurance and make you pay interest on that forced insurance. When you jump through hoops and prove you have insurance they fight you and do not credit you the interest paid. I reported a lost debit card The Credit Union told me it would take 5 to 10 days to mail a new one I was out of state on a business trip I gave them an address to mail it to. 10 days later, no card. I called and was told they mailed it to my old home address (not the new address I gave them when the lost card was reported). They also told me it would take another 10 days for delivery. 5 to 7 if I paid an additional $62.00. They would not accept responsibility to the address snafu, or expedite delivery. So it will be a minimum of 20 days until the card arrives. I got a card in 2 days from my other bank. Silly me I thought credit unions were customer centric. I have had an account with them for almost 3 years. I had called a CSR for something that needed online access. For a couple of months afterwards I didn't receive paper statements. They took me off of paper statements without my permission. So I call and a CSR said she would have them mailed out again. Three or four weeks later NOTHING. So I call and am on hold for about 20 minutes. When I reach member services, they say that I need to fax a hand written letter. Or email them, wait for a form letter that I will need to print, sign, scan and send back to them via email. All this so they can save a few cents every month. I will be getting another bank. How much does that save them? read more

Fees up the ying yang, seems like there were fees for having the loan, taking out your own money etc. The terms of the account are not explained very well either. If I had known there would be so many fees, I would have shopped around more. read more

I had to deposit a check here for a shared services credit union. Over all, service is ok, a little slow. Hours are great, as this place is open on Saturday. The wal mart service CU is open on Sunday, but does not conduct shared service banking. read more

I have belonged to credit unions pretty much my whole life because of the customer service is usually above and beyond that of corporate banks. Well you WILL NOT get any customer service from Service Credit Union. I went to deposit a check made out to my husband that he endorsed over to me. The teller told me she can not deposit it into my account since his name is not on my account. I argued that is ridiculous, the check was for $300 and he has his own account with them. No she said. I can deposit into his account. Well if we wanted to do that we would have. They will not take endorsed checks. This is a lie. We have done this plenty of times in the past via teller and atm. I'm sick of the bs. So ridiculous. I called their customer service number and again was told the same thing. This place is a joke. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WIT THEM if you are looking for customer service. BTW, their atm is down at least once a month. read more

I applied for an auto loan about a month ago and the process still isn't completed because complications due to the bank's negligence keep occurring. It took almost two weeks for the loan to get approved and since then I have to continue contacting them because they fail to contact me and every time I do get ahold of them they inform me of yet another issue that they should have known about in the first place. This place is the worst. The people working in the front are both rude and don't know anything. When you ask a question they make up an answer and then back track cause they don't actually know what they're talking about. When I asked follow up questions to confirm their answers they backtracked. The worst CU ever. read more

I only use service credit union for an auto loan. It is impossible to log in to the online site to pay your bill. All I want is for them to take my money and I need to change my password 3 times, get sent confirmation codes that do nothing and then send emails to people who are not available when you need them. Even if it saves you a few points to use them for your loans STAY AWAY. You'll make up the saved interest money in late fees when they don't let you pay you bill on time read more

I have multiple accounts with my own credit union and several times they have deposited money into the wrong account number even after verifying which account I wanted it in. Staff are pleasant although I've been asked if I was related to someone who is an ex or if I was related to my ex's son or current wife. I simply said no .
