Sergio and Rafael quickly diagnosed the starting problem and let me know it could be resolved easily. While the vehicle was in their care, I also asked them to address several overdue maintenance items and a significant oil leak coming from the valve cover gaskets. They ended up replacing the timing belt, water pump, and all associated components, replaced the valve cover gaskets, and even addressed the worn automatic transmission shift lever bushings. The difference in how the vehicle runs now is incredible -- it starts up effortlessly, runs quieter, smoother, and feels more solid and dependable than it has in years. What really stood out was their clear communication, honest recommendations, and fair, transparent pricing. There was zero upselling, just solid advice and expert work based on what the vehicle truly needed to stay reliable. Rafeal and Sergio are really two of the most honest mechanics you will ever meet! I have known both of them for over 7 years as I have taken my expensive cars in for inspections, engine work, replacement of seals, air struts, electrical, air conditioner and oil change service. They will inspect your car and will not immediately say to replace or repair something unless it absolutely had to. They both go out of their way and if something is a simple fix, they will NOT even charge you. Come on... who does that. I normally come back and bring them some food just because of how they treat me. Bring any car into their shop ask for Sergio or Rafeal and you will get the best and most honest service! The location of their facility is nothing like a BMW, Mercedes, Toyota or Chevy, however they are just as qualified if not better than most of those facilities. Another plus is if you take your car to those facilities, out of warranty, you will pay an average of $150+ an hour for your work to get done because you get to sit in a nice waiting room full of flat screens, handed a bottle water. I do not know about you guys, but I would rather pay the average rate for mechanics who I trust and are better and skip the water bottle from someone who looks like a model. :) The only thing at Service Point is their parking is limited. We had been searching far and wide for a worthwhile service shop until my sister-in-law told me about this place. She told me that the service was pretty good, but the owners were really nice to her. So, we brought our recently purchased minivan in for an oil change. Normally, my husband does all of our oil changes, but we didn't have the equipment for this large of a car. When we called them up to see if they could do the oil change for us if we brought our own synthetic oil, they were accommodating enough to do so for only $15 including filter. We showed up at 10:30, they got right to work and finished by 10:50, which was awesome because we had our 6-month-old daughter with us. They also changed the air filter for us, which was really dirty for another $25. Now, I have to say I'm always turned off by the "add-on" services-- when you go in for one thing and you end up paying for 3 or 4 by the end of the time there. But, they actually physically showed us our dirty-ass filter compared to a new one. So, it made me feel a little better. I really liked the service and overall felt like I could trust our car with these guys. We will most definitely take our car there again. read more

I've been back several times, mostly for oil changes, and I've had great service every single time!!! Today I went for an oil change and tire rotation. When I started to drive, there was a slight noise like a sticky paper was sticking every time the tire rotated. I let them know, and they fixed it right away!!! They were friendly and fast as well. My 20 year old car is doing great because of their work :)!!! While they were doing that, I had a quick chat with one of the employees, and he said he recently joined their team about a month ago, and he expressed that they are a really good place. He said that Rafael and Sergio honestly tell the customer what's going on. Plus they have really good prices. I feel really lucky to have found this business! Last year I had to get the starter on my car replaced. It was an emergency. I went here on recommendation from my roommate. Little did I know they were going to rip me off!!! My starter went out again, exactly 14months from when I replaced it at this place! It was expensive to begin with, their proces are outrageous & now I had to replace it AGAIN! I shouldve known & walked away when they didnt believe me when I said it was the starter. They supposedly had to run the diagnostic to make sure. Yeah right!! They just wanted to charge me the extra fee! So what, just because Im a woman I dont know whats wrong with my car???!!! They've been our service technician since they moved from Quality Tune Up at Winchester Blvd. They moved to this new place at 250 Willow St. where they can call their own. Recently, they've worked on 2 of my children cars (a Celica and a Bimmer) to Remove and Replace a busted engine. The Toyota runs like a brand new car (took only 4 days to finished it) and the Bimmer is ready for pick up tomorrow (02/27/12). They charge us with reasonable $$$ for parts and labor. My personal feelings for these guys are; I can always trust their honesty and leave any of my cars to them without hesitation, and get it back with the repair job done right the first time. I stumbled onto this place because I was attempting to get a smog check on 1st street. The guy at the smog station said my car needed a STAR station to do the test and he suggested I try this station. Another lady was having the same dilemma and I told her she was more than welcome to follow me to this shop. Well... I pulled into the parking area and was greeted by a mechanic, (I didn't get his name, but he had blondish hair), he immediately gave me pricing and said he could get it done for me. He offered me the office waiting room. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I was so, so afraid, being a single woman, I'd get talked into services I didn't need.
