I live over in the Santa Cruz mountains but was over the hill for errands. My battery died (or so I thought). AAA gave me a jump but my A/C, dash and power windows and stereo wouldn't work. The AAA towing guy said it was my alternator. I didn't want to drive back over the hill with a bad alternator so I started calling auto shops around where I was that were actually open on a Saturday. I called and spoke with Gary. He got my information and was able to find an alternator for my Hummer H2 (OEM at that) and said to bring it in and I could be up and running in two hours. I dropped off my car and went to the pizza place next door to eat lunch and wait. A little while later I got a call from Gary and he said that the issue wasn't my alternator at all. It was my string of lights zip tied under my car connected to my battery. The light strip had come down and was dragging on the ground and essentially shorting out my battery. Once he disconnected it from my battery everything started working again. The level of detail they went into to find the true issue vs just putting in an alternator was very impressive and just shows true integrity and customer service. I wish I lived near by them cuz I would definitely make them my primary mechanic. For anyone looking to bring your car in for work, just know you are in good hands. My water pump broke on my Prius, and I desperately needed this car to run before work on Monday. I found Complete Auto Solutions on Yelp and immediately gave them a call. I spoke to Gary who is a kind, soft spoken man. I told him that I needed the work done ASAP and he was kind enough to work my car into the schedule. For those who know, a water pump replacement is no joke, usually it's a weekend job. He gave me a full breakdown of parts and labor before he started the work and it came out to be the same price he quoted me. He also got it done two hours ahead of schedule, which really speaks to the level of service they provide. In my opinion this is one of the nicer garages that I've seen. I noticed a small leak of (oil?) start to develop from my car. I brought it to Gharib and he was able to quickly identify a leaky gasket and oil pan. I had noticed a slight odor while driving (oil leaking onto engine and burning) so his evaluation was correct. He offered to replace the gasket and noted that I didn't need a whole new oil pan, just a repair, saving alot of money. He also offered a cheap oil change, since he had to change the oil as well.
