My "check engine" light turned on a week ago so I took my car here and Tee helped scan with his obd reader. He popped the hood and then checked, I think, the air intake for me and found that the hose was loose. He tightened it for me and reset the check engine light. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I asked him how much and he said no charge for such a simple fix. The check engine light never came back on and my car passed the smog check a few days later. Took the car in for brake repairs. there was a clunking sound when braking. They diagnosed the brakes, and found damage with all 4 existing brakes. They replaced all 4 brakes and the corresponding damaged parts. It took awhile, but that was the difficulty of this repair. After the repair, the brakes are working great. Upon reading some of the Yelp reviews, I noticed that a number of the 1-star comments may actually be confusing Winfield NT with another repair garage nearby. In the same alley there are garages on both sides, and T&N Auto Repair is located a couple of doors closer to the street on the same side as Winfield NT. This shop was first to reply to my estimate request and despite being busy they got me in very quickly. Several dash lights had come on suddenly including the AT temp so I requested an AT fluid change - they discovered another issue and contacted me to relay that and get my ok to fix it. The fluid change was needed but did not solvent dash lights issue - so scans were run and indicated a provable bad solenoid . They explained all of this very well , took a lot of time with me even tho it was after hours by that time - They referred me to a transmission specialist and wanted to hear back . They even gave me a nice discount. Tee and Ng are the best! They really care about their customers -they are honest and knowledgeable and their charges are very reasonable . I wrote an honest review way back in 2019 and have been using these folks ever since and way before 2019. Unfortunately, several months ago, I called to get service and Nick said he couldn't talk and would call me back, he never did, so I called him back several days later, he once again said he'll need to call me back, and again, he never did. I also messaged them on Yelp and had no response, usually Tee is very responsive. I take this as a message that they no longer want my business, so I have taken it elsewhere. It's actually not necessary to make an appointment as they have 3-4 people working on cars at once, with two car lifts, so the longest someone will have to wait for an oil change is an hour. These guys are a good, reliable company with actual integrity and good customer service. I had all 4 tires and rotors replaced here and it was done quickly and and at a fair price. I was hearing some noise still and they let me walk in and serviced it right away and replaced parts for me at my convenience. I get there's warranty behind the work but there was no fighting and convincing needed on my part. Now a days you have to fight tooth and nail to get what you pay for. I was trying to find the cheapest price to replace my engine oil. I messaged them to ask about the price and they replied fast with the cheapest quote I can find around the city. When I arrived with the materials they took me in right away to do my car with no appointment! I sat inside and waited only around 15 minutes. My car oil was at 15% then they made it go back up to 100%. They also topped off the coolant and washer fluid and inspected my tires. He recommended me to get my belt replaced later on and was educating me on the car and maintenance because it's my first car. They're helpful and kind people as well. Great experience with Nick and "T"! I needed several repairs on my 2010 3.2L V6 Audi Q5. Gas was leaking on the topside of the engine, and it was having long starts in the morning. A highly rated shop in Milpitas "diagnosed" the problem, but they wanted way too much for labor, and they marked up all the Audi parts needed. (Tip: It's not difficult to find the retail price of OEM parts). "T" quoted the same job, with the same OEM parts, at a much more reasonable price. Services performed in November 2022: 1. Pull all six fuel injectors. Clean and reinstall with new seals and bushings on each. 2. Clean the carbon off the intake valves. 3. Replace the air/oil separator (PCV valve) 4. Replace water thermostat (preventative) 5. Replace water pipe (typically breaks when removing) 6. Replace both valve cover gaskets 7. Clean carbon off of throttle body. Total price out-the-door: $2388 AND, they knocked it out on a Saturday! I dropped my car off Friday after work and it was done Saturday evening. The car is running great and I couldn't be happier. Edit: it was unclear to me that I have a canister type oil filter. It would have been better if they had given me an accurate quote over Yelp instead of a general message. I still believe this is bait and switch Yes I could have decided not to get the work done but I had already waited 15 minutes in the waiting area and my car would be hard to back out of the area with all the other cars. It would just be easier to pay the extra $25. Also responsiveness for a quote was good However the 1 star is due to bait and switch. He gave me a Yelp quote of $50 pls tax and fees for an oil change for my Lexus ES but when I arrived, he said, you need a special filter, it's $75.
