We had a water leak in the concrete of our kitchen. Although we live in Thousand Oaks, our insurance adjuster worked with this Servpro licensee. I decided to work with them as logic would have that they would perform better since they get so much business from our insurance adjuster. After working with Grant and his team I think that Grant would have been great even if I had picked him out on my own. Grant was so nice to work with, I actually forgot that he was the owner. At no time did I feel any pressure to pick one option or another that was offered to me. It could not have been an easier relationship. His team is also well trained. Incredible service! We had a shower that was leaking behind the walls. Naturally, we only discovered the problem when the water started dripping through the downstairs ceiling onto the wood floor. We stopped the water ASAP and called the insurance company. Thankfully, we also called SERVPRO of Burbank. SERVPRO gave us detailed estimates for all repairs, mold remediation, and pack-up needed for repairs -- AND SERVPRO worked with our insurance company to ensure we received a fair payment from our insurance company, which was much higher than the original insurance offer. In October, we noticed buckling in our floors and immediately called a plumber to review. They explained a pipe had burst causing significant damage (leading to potential for mold, etc). We got a recommendation from insurance for ServPro and I'm so thankful we opted to work with them from the mitigation period all the way through the contracting/rebuilding. From the moment they stepped into our house, they were a voice of calm, reason, and assurance. At no point did they ever try to SELL me (or upsell me). They responsibility worked the problems and rectified the urgent issues. They went on to coordinate all the players needed to remove our furniture so that they could rebuild the damage in the house (which included new floors, new kitchen, and some other affected areas). I've worked with contractors my entire career (on the commercial side) and have seen a wide range of good to terrible. Grant and his team never lost sight of their goals: 1. Handle mitigation quickly and effectively 2. Work with insurance to get everything moving smoothly 3. Repair all of the damages to the home and make it look as good (or better) than when they got to the house Other contractors who came to bid on the work were fixated on the ABC's (always be closing) while Grant (and his other colleagues who visited on the initial part of the project) were simply concerned with making our lives easier. Accommodating timing (I have two small kids at home). Working with us to make things more comfortable. Working with other outside vendors (like movers) to be sure everything went well as possible. I rarely write reviews, but ServPro of Burbank deserves for people to know how great they are. I am very detail oriented. I did lots of research, including on Yelp, and met with 5 different highly-rated water/mold remediation companies before settling on ServPro of Burbank. My job was complicated - not only was there water throughout two adjacent 7' walls, but there was considerable mold in certain areas too. To up the risk, some of the water damage was behind built-in cabinets, with a 7' granite countertop. One remediation company said there was only a 5% chance of avoiding cracking the granite (which would have meant 3 other large granite slabs would have needed replacement as well). ServPro of Burbank, as their name suggests, are "pros" that provide the best "service" possible. They are an exceptional business - one that's fully staffed and perfectly trained. My relationship started with telephone discussions with production manager Grant Bridges, coordinator Patty Coronado, and estimator John Richter. Each of them was knowledgable, friendly and professional. Then John quickly came to the house to inspect the project needs and create an estimate. He answered all of my questions, located problem areas that no one else found, and really cared about his work and my satisfaction. I was very impressed. Then crew chief Luis Perez and technician Pierce Tronson came out to perform the work. I couldn't have hoped for more professional, competent, genuinely friendly, efficient, careful, neat and caring people to handle this complicated job. I did not end up using SERVPRO for my water damage and repair. However, I did have them come out to do an estimate and overall it was a very positive experience. I had a broken sprinkler pipe cause water damage inside the house. John Wayne came out to check out the damage and was able to give me a good outline of how far the water had gotten. He also advised me on the scope of work they would do and a rough cost estimate. He was very straightforward and helpful with his explanations. Contacted this company after my living room, which measures (9ft x 12ft) got flooded. According to Yvonne, the price would be over $900, to do the following: 1) remove padding, 2) remove water from carpet, and 3) leave dryers in place for 3 days in order to dry carpet. When I asked if they would replace the padding, she indicated that I would have to contact a carpet company for that. To say that I was flabbergasted would be an under statement. I told her to confirm that price because 9ft x 12ft is a very small area and I could not believe that was the correct price. We then hung up the phone and about thirty minutes later she called back and stated, "Not only is that the correct price, but I will need a credit card to start the job." I ended up calling another company, with excellent feedback, that complete the job for a fraction of the price that Yvonne quoted me. These people are nothing but, vultures and hyenas, they lay and wait for a catastrophe to happen and then they pounce on people when they really need help! Call any company but this one Who has heard of flooding damage taken care of with Blowers only to take the humidity off an apartment and leave in place soaking carpets ? it took a pair of phone calls to find out that since there was some panel damages an environmentalist needs to come to test for asbestos, while the mold quietly kreeps in now 36 hours after the damage was done, still no environmentalist , lets blame the insurance company not to answer, the clock tics and the mold has more chance to grow.... the test takes 24 hours unless we agree to pay extra. I had a horrible experience with this company. First off their representive comes to my house with his radio blasting at full volume in his car and he sat outside my house for about 5 minutes. I told him to turn off the radio becasue the neighbors would not appricate a radio that loud. My insurance company set them up because I needed my wood floors repaired after water damage. I just completed a remodel and the refrigerator water line broke. I needed my applicances moved and my furniture moved to other rooms in the house. I told them that I would like everything moved Monday morning because I still had to live in my house and I did not want the house torn up over the weekend. The lady at the company did not listen to my request and set things up on Friday. Finally I got my wood floor guy to come later and I was going to have them move the furniture on Monday and the appilances could be moved on Friday. A man and his daugher showed up at my house and he started to move my refrigerator and as he pulled it out he put two big gouges in my floor and I pointed it out to him. His daughter did not help lift refrigerator. He had little to no padding on his dolley and the refrigerator was just too heavy for him to handle. He went down my two steps in a rough manner as my new refrigerator bounced down my steps. He was suppose to move my stove next and I told him to please leave my house. My appliances are all new and high end expensivie applicances and their rep should had noticed that but he did not. This company should had shown care no matter the worth of my appiances The man even lied and told his boss he did not damage the floor but I took pictures right away. Please stay far away from his company. They were not professional and walked away from my job at the last minute. I cant say enough about SERVPRO that serves Burbank, Chatsworth/Stevenson's Ranch and Crescenta Valley. I am a property Manager in Tarzana. I had a main line back up into my Laundry room and the water traveled into two hallways and 4 apartments. It was on a Saturday and I was desperate to find someone to help. I called all my options, and no one was available, or the response time was 3 to 4 hours. I saw that SERVPRO was one of my vendors, so I called. They were able to help me with in an hour. The guys that came were great! They did a wet vacuum on all areas, until everything was completely dry. They made sure tenants furniture was up on blocks to prevent them from getting wet even further. They followed up with antimicrobial spray, left dryers behind, and tested all areas. Also as part of their service, they checked back with us and the tenants, to test how the effected areas are drying using their dehumidifiers. They tested all the walls and wood to protect against any further damage. I also cant say enough about Brittany Cabrera who answers the phone, she is so kind and nice and understanding. My homeowners insurance arranged for SERVPRO of Burbank to do water damage mitigation after a serious leak in the kitchen soaked portions of the wall, cabinets and the floor. The office staff was great. Techs responded the same day, (sorry I can't remember the names of the techs, but they were great), did an assessment, and set up a dehumidifier and fans.
