NEVER hire them to rebuild after mitigation. Did virtually nothing to rebuild for six months when I fired them. Their incompetent electrician cut huge holes in the sheetrock in different rooms outside the fire damage, broke switches, screwed up the original wiring circuits. Any framing they did was substandard and had to be torn out. It took a new electrician many hours and visits to diagnose, repair the circuits and return the wiring to the original status. Servepro billed my insurance for things like cleaning rooms and structure that were not near the damaged parts of the house. A firefighter the night of my fire warned me about ServePro. He said they would milk my insurance for as much as they could get, and do a poor reconstruction. Seems very true. They're an ambulance chaser, probably monitoring AFD radio. They show up while the house is still burning, to get you to sign up with them. Don't do it! Wait a day or two so you can calm down and thoroughly research mitigation companies On the other hand, they did an acceptable mitigation drying out the house. The manager was very responsive during the process. They will however, tear out some things, like my kitchen cabinets, and throw away things you want to keep. No matter who you hire, manage the process, don't dream that it's now an insurance matter and it will all be put back the way it was. It won't. Bottom line. While they clean up pretty good after the disaster, they will bill the hell out of your insurance for things they didn't do or did so badly the work has to be fixed Don't sign with any company until you've had time to do your research before signing a contract. read more

We went with Servpro as a recommendation from our insurance to install new flooring and repaint our living room after a sudden water leak. Please don't use this company if you value quality work, clear communication, and a fair price. The original estimate they gave us was for the replacement of hardwood floor but we requested LVP to be installed. The estimator stated that would be no problem and a change order would be issued for the price difference. An accurate change order was never provided. They stated that, in the original contract, we agreed to the overall amount versus the itemized cost for what was actually installed. We ended up paying $4000 more than the work actually completed. The Construction Manager, Johnathan Hallmark, did not know what a change order was. The Project Manager, Pete Arellano, would call us last minute if the sub contractors weren't able to show up that day, or not call us at all. The painters got paint on our furniture and cleaned their supplies in our garden bed. Their subcontractor sawed all his cuts in the house getting saw dust everywhere and did not clean up before leaving. Overpaying is one thing, but we were mainly discouraged by the unprofessionalism of the company. Not typically one to leave a review, but our experience was just awful. The more you want to get home; the less work is done. "Final walk thru" means nothing to these guys, remove the blue take and call it quits. They did not complete the job and tried to switch contracts on me. Dear, Jonny Hallmark, Servpro Pflugerville, I am writing to confirm that our final, binding agreement is the DocuSign contract for $40,333.10 sent to me and signed by me 12/26/24, Electric confirmation 12/26/24, 03:03:57 AM. This contract reflects our negotiated terms, accounting for materials I provided and adjusted work, including not removing certain flooring. Your claim that the earlier $42k contract's date overrides the DocuSign timestamp is incorrect--DocuSign's audit trail and timestamp are legally binding under Texas law and the federal ESIGN Act, clearly showing the $40,330.10 contract as the final agreement. Due to your failure to complete the work by the agreed November deadline, forcing me to move in on Christmas Eve, along with repeated issues including low-skilled labor, numerous mistakes, employees not showing up for days or leaving after an hour, and incomplete tasks, I no longer have confidence in your services. I am terminating our agreement and will pay the agreed $40,330.10 as full and final settlement of all claims, remaining balance $5,330.10. Any attempt to enforce the $42k contract, which was intended for insurance purposes only and does not reflect our final agreement, will be considered deceptive and addressed accordingly under Texas law, including the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. AVOID at all costs! In a nutshell: Servpro of Pflugerville is negligent and ignores the laws for mold removal in Texas that are in place to protect consumers and homeowners. They demolished entire walls in my home when our protocol called for a precise excision of 2 feet. Their complete dismissal of state regulated safety procedures exposed my family to unsafe living conditions and potentially exposed the rest of my home to toxic mold spores. Their work failed the first visual inspection for clearance. They charged us for services that were never provided and equipment that was never present on site or used despite it being required in our protocol. When we addressed the false billing practices and requested an updated bill that accurately reflected the services provided, they increased our bill and filed with collections. They have never sent us a paper bill. We never had a change order. They will destroy your home, spread your mold problem and bill you incorrectly. RUN! The full story: Our home was found to have dangerously high levels of toxic mold. We confirmed with air samples and paid an independent inspector to detail a very specific protocol for the removal of the mold from our home while keeping our family, our pets, and our belongings safe. Then we made the mistake of hiring ServPro of Pflugerville. Marc was the mold division manager that we worked with and the choice to go with Servpro was the worst move we could've made. Our contract specifically outlined that all services were to follow the mold removal protocol written by the independent inspector (which is state law). However, once under contract and after they'd received 50% of our bill paid up front for an extensive project, their team completely disregarded our protocol and basically just did a hack demolition job on the front half of our home. They failed to secure negative air pressure, they didn't follow the protocol for how to seal off the rooms effectively and they ripped out an entire wall of my home when the protocol outlined only removing 2 feet of sheetrock! There is a world of difference between 2 feet of wall removed and an entire10 foot wall being removed! They improperly and ineffectively taped off sections of the interiors of our rooms and ripped out sheetrock, insulation, and windowsills, and just threw them out the window onto my front lawn without any bags or proper containment. They ripped out my upstairs carpet but left all the nailstrips behind. They taped unaffected surfaces and ripped holes in adjacent walls that should not have been touched. They failed to remove my furniture from the rooms (which is against state guidelines) and then failed to clean them or even turn my couch back rightside up when they left. My couch is covered in cat hair and dust, it's velvet so it is visibly obvious. The rooms were dusty, dirty, and uncleaned but our bill reflects in depth HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces that never occurred. Tape was left on furniture and vents and trash was left in the rooms. This company operates as a predatory agency that will hurt the health of your family and the integrity of your home through complete disregard for your safety, belongings, and the mold protocol that they are hired to follow and required by law to adhere to. The team on site didn't follow safety precautions as outlined in our mold remediation protocol, and they literally threw a windowsill out of an open upstairs window onto my front lawn almost hitting me in the head when I walked outside with my toddler! I discussed these project violations with Marc, the mold division manager in charge of our project, since he was not onsite to supervise. I was reassured that these issues would be remedied. They were not. I requested a new team since the team assigned to us was clearly untrained and when left unsupervised there was a considerable language gap and they were not following any of the written guidelines for their work. Despite my requests, the same team was repeatedly sent to my home. The project ran for more than double the time they quoted because the company failed to schedule their resources correctly and I was billed for services that were never performed and equipment that was never present. So, as a recap, Servpro's team disregarded the remediation protocol that we hired them to follow and that they are obligated to follow by Texas law. Servpro failed to perform mold remediation to the required standard set by Texas law and their dismissal of the required safety procedures outlined in our protocol exposed my family to unsafe living conditions in addition to exposing the rest of my home to toxic mold spores. ServPro set up a noisy dehumidifier and fan for 2 days. They didn't resolve our water mitigation issues and charged us an exorbitant amount of money. In the whirlwind of our claims with 3 different companies our insurance company sent us money to pay ServPro but they never sent us a bill. Instead ServPro gave our account to a completely unnecessary, verbally abusive and threatening collections agency that made threats on our home and credit rating. I will never deal with ServPro again after this totally unprofessional experience. read more

I was in need of a unique cleaning job and contacted them on a referral from another SERVPRO franchise that told me they were reliable. Someone (whom I will not name to protect the guilty) came out quickly on a Friday afternoon (so far, so good) and promised me an estimate that evening, with work to start the following week. I never got the estimate, and when I called back the following Monday morning, I learned that person was out of town all week and we would have to start the process over again. (Um, no thank you!) I ended up using another service, but as a result of this one employee's thoughtlessness, my family had to remain out of our home for an additional 3-4 days! I'm sure they probably do fine work once they show up, and the other staff were appropriately and sincerely apologetic, but this experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. This past Sunday our water heater in our attic broke and flooded our bathroom, laundry room, garage and hallway. We called SERVPRO to come out and help us with the damage. They came immediately! Eddie and Jessie showed up and did an amazing job. They were so professional. They set up the driers, and got to work. They came every day to monitor the progress and changed plans as they went. They were so nice and very accommodating. They called every morning to schedule to come out based on my schedule which is super refreshing. Such great service!! After finding water flooding my living room on the day of the ice storm that shut down Austin, and being unable to get our complex plumber out or anyone else, SERVPRO came through big time! One of the owners came out in the icy conditions to set up equipment and prevent further damage (probably saved my neighbors condo too). Equipment worked so well it kept flowing water at bay for two days until plumbers could make it out. Communication was on point: regular check-ins via phone and stopping by condo regularly to make sure everything was still working properly and stopping further damage. Don't let these guys near your place. They were called out to take after our house caught on fire.. We thought we were in good hands.. They took our water soaked cloths to be cleaned, so we thought.. They ended up leaving our Wet cloths in Garbage bags for over a week in 100 degree weather. Needless to say they have ruined over $8000.00 worth of cloths. They admitted fault but the refuse to pay what the cloths are worth They are the most unresponsive,unprofessional folks I have ever met. No response from ServPro corporate either. A disaster in your home is tough to deal with. Servpro of Pflugerville softens the blow. After a broken pipe in the foundation of my house, I had a mess on the 1st floor of my home. Craig McCreary, production manager, came out to estimate the job and tell me everything that would happen, step by step. He was professional, thorough, courteous, and friendly. I felt a lot better about the situation after meeting him. Arthur and Dustin came out and very gently moved our first floor belongings to one of their vaults, exercising as much care as if the items were their own. Arthur answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. They returned with Angel and Eddie to begin the drying process and remove the laminate floor and baseboards. I never imagined all the flooring could be removed so quickly. Angel and Eddie were incredibly efficient. Dustin removed all the wet drywall and some shelving very efficiently. The drying process took days and Arthur repeatedly came by to monitor the process, phoning ahead each time and working around my schedule. All the equipment was removed yesterday and we're finally dried out here. Craig contacted me today to schedule their return for a final cleanup (removing all that drywall dust). When I told him he could come today and mentioned I had another contractor coming in a few days to do drywall repair, he suggested we wait for the final cleanup until after the repair was complete since it would create a lot of dust again, thus saving me from having to do it myself. I really can't say enough good things about these folks. They all made a bad situation a lot more bearable for me. While I hope disaster doesn't strike again any time soon, I know whom I'll be calling if it does. Also, my dog really liked them and she hates almost everyone. :) read more

Servpro Pflugerville came out to our house because of an in-slab plumbing leak. We were out of town when the work was done and came back to a huge mess! The crew had not covered any furniture and there was dust on everything! We had not be forwarded to cover anything or we would have. We had been reassured that the crew would clean up everything and put it back where they found it. They did none of this. We spent days vacuuming up the dust from the sheet rock, picking up nails and insulation they left all over (even in the bath tub!), and taking down all picutres from walls that were cover in dust. They did not put any furniture back the way they found it, just left everything stacked up in the corners of the rooms. The crew also mistakenly took our shop vac and broom with them when they left. On top of this, when they came back a final time to remove the lady of the cabinets, they misplaced a burner cover for our gas range and dented the dishwasher. We are not able to use that burner on the stove because of the missing part. When we complained about these things everyone we talked to passed blame on someone else. Weeks ago a supervisor contacted me about coming out the next day to look into these issues, and though he seemed genuinely covered about the careless way our property had been treated, he actually never came by! I am seriously appalled by the lack of professionalism at all levels at ServPro Pflugerville. I would never recommend them! We had a disaster a few days before Christmas and family coming from out of town dinner was to be at our home. The water heater was leaking and water was in the closet for the water heater out closet in the utility room our pantry and dining room Servpro to the rescue flooring had to be removed,sheet rock and doors Angel,Jon,Chris and Gabriel and JD took care of everything they packed all the dishes from my China closet. Angel told me to sit back and relax they were going to handle it all and they did. Compared to what others who posted here seem to have endured, our problem was relatively minor. But, we didn't know that until Kyle with SERVPRO took the time to come out and investigate. We were concerned that we had a mold or mildew issue in one kitchen cabinet. Kyle spent about an hour coaching us on what to look for, and even took the time to drill a small inspection hole in the cabinet base so he could look underneath for any sign of past or present moisture. He also gave us sound advice on cutting one or two more small openings, which we did just to be sure. Everything was clean and dry! Had Kyle not been up-front and honest, he certainly could have led us in another direction by recommending extensive remedial measures to rectify the situation, and we would probably have not known any better. He refused any payment for his time and expertise. So even though SERVPRO did not benefit financially, it is our hope that this review encourages others to trust this business should the need for this type of service arise. This Servpro team was hired by the builder of our home, which was still in warranty. Servpro then sent us a formal letter indicating that they were going to place a lien on our home due to lack of payment to them from the builder. Servpro never tried to contact us (call, email, etc) prior to sending this threatening letter, trying to place us on the hook to fix their problem with the builder. We never hired Serprov, we never signed anything to indicate we would pay Servpro, I assume Servpro had an agreement/contract with the builder. Servpro needs to refine it's policy to continue to work with the parties who hired them and NOT harasser others. read more

I gave SERVPRO of Pflugerville a 5 star rating because I found them to be top notch professionals. We had water damage to the carpet in our master closet from a leak in a line in master bath. I had considered replacing the carpet because there was rust areas where metal was in contact with wet carpet. Additionally, I put kitty litter down to soak up the saturation. My carpet was a disaster and I just knew there was no hope for it. Someone suggested SERVPRO to us and we decided to give them a try. I am so happy that we did because our carpet looks brand new!! We were fortunate enough to get Arthur and Chris as our technicians and I was Uber impressed! They were very respectful of my home and my things, taking care to do a good job as well. They were both so pleasant and friendly and worked very hard to do the job right. I like that very much.
