Another one of those places that never changes. Always the same "hurryupanbuy!" shriveled asian lady holding the toothpick with the dangling glazed chicken, waving you over for a sample. These guys are seriously generous with the food. I wish every mall food court had a Sesame Hut. This, along with Waldenbooks, is really the only reason to come to Northwest Mall nowadays, sadly. The menu is short and sweet, but 90% unnecessary. All you need to know is #3, General Tso's Chicken. It's one of those greasy Chinese food places that is worth the awful feeling afterward. read more

I recently moved to northwest Houston and needed to head to the mall and run errands, while I was there I worked up an appetite. I went to order an eggroll and fried rice and my goodness I'm so glad I did. Eggroll is one of the better ones I've munched on, fried rice wasn't the best but it served it's purpose but what wakes me up with cravings was the fried onion ring she throws in with your meal! Melts right in your mouth. You have to eat it right away or it gets soggy. I definitely recommend trying out the food.. read more

Introduce to a memory of north west side that came back for a combat. It is a great space for quick Korean food with the American touch. I had the bulgogi plate and it was a perfect meal with tons of flavor. I like the touch of a well fried onion ring because it had the perfect crunch from the panko. I also had the shrimp and it was perfectly crunchy and savory. I would like to try other plates. But I have to wait until I come back into town. read more

For over 20 years we enjoyed their food throughout the years whenever we'd be in the area. Going to really miss this place and the owners. It's a shame how they were told in less than a month they had to leave because the mall was shutting down. Last I spoke to them they didn't have any place to go. Wow I used to come to this place as a kid all the time in the mall now they have a new location and the food is better then ever I got the #8 Hot&Spicy chicken it was always my favorite. I have been visiting this place for close to 20 years. My go-to dish was the chicken plate with the gravy. Delish. Then, the unthinkable happened; I found a roach in the food 3 bites in. Oh mylanta. I packed it up, along with the other food we purchased and took it back. It completely broke my heart but finding a roach in your food is the ultimate betrayal. Tried this place out today for the first time and it was pretty delicious. Portion size is huge and they gave us some free tempura onion rings that were good as well. I had the Korean Bulgogi and I would say the only thing that is missing is some veggies but certainly not lacking in flavor or quantity. The building itself may not be fancy but it was very clean and well maintained. I will return! read more

I eat at this SESAME HUT all the time. Much better than some other branches ive been to. The food always tastes great, i always recieve big portions and if you have to wait for food to cook they offer you a drink . Ive only had to go back a few times for wrong orders but they have no problem fixing it. Overall one of my favorite places to go read more

I love the fried rice, the tempura, and the spicy chicken (even though it's a radioactive red color). Even though the food court restaurant is in the dying Northwest Mall, it has not changed over the years. I always go for the #7 Korean Beef plate and some egg rolls. Great stuff, the only downside is the rice, very plain. Still love the place. read more

Fried rice isn't anything special but I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. My parents love this place and is the only reason we go to Northwest Mall at all. They give you a complimentary onion ring and hot wing with every order as a sample ;). read more

This was my first time here and was wonderful. My man said that they was at the mall at one point of time, and they are now at a new location. The food is still on point and the service is good as well. We had 2 orders of the hot&spicy, and an order of the wing dinner. They were prompt and the food was hot and delicious. This place has been here for many year and really enjoy everything they make. Their vegetables and chicken is my favorite and worth the wait as they cook it once you order. Don't forget to order onion rings, always cooked perfectly with a good crisp to every bite. read more

If you're looking for regular , same old same Chinese food then you may not be happy here. BUT if you are looking for something different with a kick to it , THIS IS THE PLACE! The #8 is amazing , as for the fried vegetable skewer. The owners are actual family and work in their establishment. The restaurant is very clean and as the kitchen. They are the same Sesame hut bringing a new vibe to the food , adding veggies is awesome because veggies are great for you. All of their food is fresh , (I could see them preparing it) Everyone always has a huge smile and great humble service. Although they don't do the free wing , they will add onion rings WHICH ARE AMAZING AND MY WHOLE FAMILY LOVES THE RICE . This place is the perfect lunch spot if you work around the area. I have been here twice. Each time I got the hot & spicy chicken. The give you tons of food and it's the greasy Chinese food spot. Prices are good too, like $7.50 with a drink. Last time my coworker got the tempura shrimp and they're big shrimp and she said they were great! read more
