Only my first session, but staff was very friendly and the nurse was professional and informative. She made sure I felt comfortable. The place is very clean and beautiful! Definitely more spa like and not like I'm going to the doctor's office haha. The receptionist said right away that we should scan the QR code and buy a pack from GROUPON. Wtf? The worst laser experience, I had two sessions of laser hair removal on my lower legs no results whatsoever. During my second session I let the nurse know that I didn't see any results and if she can go up a level, she didn't. I have emailed the manager Christina regarding my issue if I can do a redo she was very rude and unresponsive to my needs. This isn't what I accept as a paying customer. I love SEV! I go to both SF and Burlingame branches (whichever has a time slot for me) and I love both places! Super clean, and all the employees are professional but still friendly and accommodating. The Customer Relations Manager gave me a call about my previous not so great experience and was extremely nice and thoughtful. She apologized profusely and even offered various solutions so that I would have a better experience during my next treatments. Since then (2 more sessions), it has been excellent. Today I saw Cheryl for my Brazilian and underarms laser treatment - she was very professional, sweet, and thorough, while talking me through the process, which really help calmed my anxiety. The 1st laser hair removal session went ok. The 2nd session though... first of all they emailed/texted me that your session is delayed. The notice was sent late enough that I was already on my way so I had to sit there for almost 40 minutes. I had to use the bathroom. One of their bathrooms was marked as out of order, the other one was overflowing so that I had to run out!!! I searched around for a bathroom for about 15 minutes and came back! The nurse changed the laser machine and used Alex this time. It went ok. After 2 days my lower legs started itching. I applied some aloe-vera gel on it which didn't help. Itching got worse and worse each day so that I contacted them about it. They recommended hydrocortisone cream which didn't help either. The itch got so bad that I had to take cold showers 6-7 times a day for a while. The only thing which was helpful was cold water! You can imagine that my life was like hell for a while cause my work/sleep and daily life was affected by this itching!!! Although I tried not to scratch it, for the first 2 weeks it was sometimes impossible to resist itching. Then the bumps and itchiness spread to my upper legs. I was even scared of taking showers cause they told me that hot water would make this condition worse. I tried prednisone and loratadine for a while too, but no use unfortunately. In the 3rd week, the bumps and itchiness spread to my arms!!! Then I started applying a stronger hydrocortisone cream. It itches less now, but I still have to take cold showers for 3-4 times everyday. My legs look absolutely AWFUL! I hate looking at my legs. Imagine you spend so much money so that your legs look prettier, and you end up getting scars all over. They said this reaction is normal and it could happen randomly!!!! So I wanted to share my experience here so that you don't risk going to SEV at all, cause you might "randomly" end up in this situation like me!!! I didn't know that this mess might happen, but apparently they knew there's a chance that this might happen, which shows how ignorant and irresponsible they are about their service and customers. read more

I've been getting laser treatments at SEV Laser for a few years, but this was my first time at the Burlingame location. The staff was welcoming, and I loved my nurse Danielle! She was very sweet and was did my laser treatment for my legs very quickly and as pain-free/smooth as possible. I could tell she was experienced with making sure the customer felt comfortable and that everything was done thoroughly. I started to go to this SEV location because the one in SF was always fully booked. The service is professional, however seems like their rooms were not always filled like in SF. There was one time when their skin-tightening machine was broken when I came, the lady in the front staff apologized and gave me a candle and a lip balm instead. Very nice. read more

I decided to start getting my services at this SEV location because I can actually get an appointment, find parking and it is surrounded by great shops and restaurants. The waiting area is big and I like the neon lights. My Laser RN was Shannen and I could not ask for better service. She is efficient, her work is effective and she is great conversation. I have had the pleasure of having her laser me twice and I will start requesting her to make sure my work stays consistent. She is knowledgeable about skincare which is also a plus. Wanted to laser my face so I decided to go to SEV and I loved the entire experience! This location is conveniently located right off Burlingame Ave with good parking if you come a few minutes before. Sydney was so sweet and took great care of me. The front desk (Daniella) was also SO nice and checked me in real quick after I got there. She was the absolute best, so kind and lifted my spi so much. I think SEV as a franchise is a bit challenging. Customer Service is very difficult to reach, staff turn around is unstable, making appointments can take months, the forms we need to complete before EACH appointment is redundant and includes an urgent same day deadline- if you don't complete the same day- they will cancel your appointment. However, within this mess, I was lucky to find a location that offered GREAT front desk service and quick appointment turn around. I am very happy with this location. I have gone to SEV Burlingame for the past year for laser hair removal on my legs and I rarely have to shave since. I do go once very 6 months just for maintenance, but overall happy with the results. If they replace the girl at the front desk though, I will edit this post to 2 stars, she is the only reason I rate this franchise as "okay" and not "could've been better".
