We're regulars here and usually love it reliable sushi, decent vibe, sometimes slow service but overall good. This time we asked for the chef pick five rolls, because we've tried so many already. Well this turned out to be a $25 per-roll... lesson in regret. It was nothing special, just a lot of cream cheese pretending to be creativity. Six people, no booze, $350 later... still hungry and mildly offended.

From top to bottom: Hammer Roll, Big Sky Roll, Strawberry Fields Roll, Ziggy Stardust Roll

I must admit I had very low expectations about getting sushi in Montana, but Seven has proven me wrong! Online reservations were limited, however there seemed to be plenty of tables when we walked in for dinner. The restaurant feels slightly upscale, but casual enough for a comfortable atmosphere. Price is as expected for sushi. There were several interesting combinations that hit the right spot. Ziggy Stardust was my personal favorite, delicious in both flavor and texture. Strawberry Fields was another unique combination that pleasantly surprised us. We also ordered a Salmon Poke, Hammer Roll, and Big Sky Roll - all were pretty good. They did charge us an extra $1 when we asked for a side of spicy mayo and will charge a 2.5% fee for credit cards. All in all this is a pretty good spot and we had a great time!

$21 waygu burger charred beyond belief, wilted slimy lettuce and onions. So gross.

We have been to seven 5-6 times over the past year, it was always great. Yesterday, however was so disappointing and honestly gross. First off, our server was lovely, she is not the reason for this. The food was so mediocre. I ordered two naked ninja rolls, my husband ordered a burger, my kiddo ordered chicken tenders. Food took over an hour to arrive. When it did, kiddos tenders were cold, one of my ninja rolls was prepared correctly, the other had plain tofu in it without tempura that was just gross. And then my husbands wagyu burger was honestly disgusting, it was charred beyond recognition, the "lettuce" was old and wilted, the onions (which we asked not to have on it) were slimy. It was a $21 dollar burger that was worse than what they serve at Jack in the box at 2 am. I told the server about the sushi issue and the manager took off our sodas? I appreciated it but the kitchen was so bad yesterday we definitely won't be back.

This is TOTAL BS. This is two rolls. 6 slices on the right and 8 on the left. Get your portions right. WTF. Go to Hooked or Dave's.

Outstanding! We absolutely loved it. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back.

What can I say, good sushi! For a landlock state Seven does a great job with their fish. I enjoy the upscale vibe as far as the ambiance goes. The sushi here is good and I have always had great service. I would rank it in my top 3 sushi places here in Bozeman!

I have never had a bad experience here and have been eating here for years! The taste is always fresh and full of flavor! Service is always fast and friendly. If I could eat here every day I would!! My favorite rolls are the Alaskan and the Jawdropper. We got it to go this last time as we do on Valentine's Day (what's better than sushi in PJs and a movie?!) and it was delicious, even on a busy holiday!!

    No Rice Handroll. Thanks Connor!

Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Seven. Being picky sushi eaters, I found this to be one of the best in Bozeman.

The Fungi Pizza: This is our usual go-to, but the dine-in version was totally off. For takeout, they pack the greens separately so you can control the heavy lime flavor, and they include a cream of mushroom sauce that makes it incredibly creamy. In the restaurant, they forgot the cream sauce entirely and piled the greens on top with so much lime it tasted like biting into lemons. We tried adding salt and pepper to cut the intense acidity, but it didn't help at all. The Japan Chicken: On the plus side, the Japan Chicken was excellent--incredibly juicy and crispy. This dish is actually much better when you dine in. When we get it for takeout, it loses its crunch and ends up feeling like a basic chicken nugget. Definitely order this one fresh at the table.

When we came in at around 4pm, there seemed to be plenty of tables available but after an hour, the place quickly filled up. Vibes/Service: Parking lot in the back and it seemed there was some street parking available as well. Many, many tables available with bar seating as well. It can certainly fit a larger group. Great service from our server. Checked on us often and filled up our waters. Food: Because it was our first meal here, we wanted to try out their staple dishes. -Bison Potstickers ($16): 5 pieces topped with mango and garlic chili sauce and served with some coleslaw. Rich and filling, paired well with the sauce. Would order this again! -Bison Patty Melt ($22): it was my first time eating Bison, the waiter suggested medium rare. It looked more red than I usually like but it actually was juicy and tasty-- I guess this is the difference between a regular beef patty. I'd also order this again. -Served with pepper parmesan fries which was so uniquely food. Fries were fresh. -Huckleberry Cream Ale ($8/pint) paired well with my meal.

My server knew the special menu, regular menu and drinks very well. I ordered the bison patty melt and tots for the meal and the Bridger Hazy IPA for the drink. The bartender recommended the IPA and it was excellent. The homemade tots were great. A shredded potato in the middle, nice and creamy and crunchy exterior. Feedback was there were only 5 on the plate. Definitely could use more. The bison patty met was perfectly cooked. A lot of folks overcook and dry out the bison. It was perfectly medium and juicy. Feedback would be a little char on the patty would be great. The service really tailed off in the end, it was not super busy and they had about 5 servers behind the bar. I sat there for at least 15 min until another bar tender asked if I wanted another brew and my server came about 5 to 10 later to attend to things.

We dipped the seafood from our entrees into the leftover broth for the acidity and flavor! Stuffed Portabello Mushroom - 10/10 there were so many ingredients in this dish it was almost comical but it all worked together very well! Salmon was fresh but felt under-seasoned on its own. I loved the mushrooms but I didn't love the dry/hard melted cheese on top. Chicken Parmigiana - 8/10 tomato sauce is very fragrant. A bit bland otherwise. All entrees came with a soft crumbly bread that I only enjoyed with the mussels broth. Lovely server and restaurant! Charming location. Big portions, we took leftovers.

To start, we had the daily ceviche, which was a salmon ceviche with a bright citrus marinade, garnished with oranges and served alongside crispy wonton crackers. It was fresh, light, and a perfect way to kick off the meal. Next, we shared the hot crab dip, which was rich, warm, and packed with flavor. Served with grilled bread, it was the kind of dish you keep dipping back into because it's just that good. For our main dish, we shared the Brown Butter Scallops -- prosecco salt dusted scallops served with arugula pesto, herb mushrooms, and bacon & butternut squash arancini. The scallops themselves were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, but the real standout on the plate was the arancini. Crispy on the outside with a rich, savory filling of bacon and butternut squash, it paired beautifully with the rest of the dish and completely stole the show. The entire meal was beautifully plated and thoughtfully prepared. The only small note is that the restaurant can get a bit loud when it's full, which can make conversation with your dinner companion slightly harder. That said, the lively atmosphere shouldn't stop you from enjoying a meal here. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience.
