If you want fresh seafood, Seven Seas Seafood Market is the place to go. We purchased shrimp, clams, a lobster tail and cocktail sauce for a low country boil. They even have whole fish for you to purchase. Sure it smells fishy-DUH. look around in their coolers and freezers because they do have a lot of different things to choose from. This is a great seafood market! They have the best crab dip. They have a good variety of fresh local seafood. This is ideal if you like to rent a condo at the beach and prepare your own seafood. Definitely try their delicious crab dip! They also have other prepared seafood soups and other goodies if you don't feel like cooking. And just want to hear and eat. Wonderful place to stop in and see what is fresh. They are only allowing @ 5 people in at a time due to the small size of the shop. They require masks and provide hand sanitizer. There is a nice porch where you can wait for your turn. I will return again on my next trip. read more

We stopped in for some of their famous She Crab soup and, of course, fresh seafood! We did a few pounds of the xlarge local shrimp, local clams (holy huge!!! I'm making chowder today with the leftovers) and some snapper. Everyone is always quick to help and it always feels so clean! read more

My favorite local seafood market in Murrells Inlet. Beautiful selection of local fish and shellfish. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have become our favorite place to get fresh seafood. Oysters, shrimp and scallops have been outstanding! But yesterday we went in and brought all of the kids in and everyone was amazing. Lise in particular took the time to answer all the questions my autistic son could ask. The patience and understanding means the world to our family. Thank you!! I made the mistake of buying some cod which is not caught locally. When I got home to cook it, the smell was very strong fish which is not how fresh cod should smell. I threw it out. I did buy a couple crabcakes which were decent. I had bought some local grouper there before which was good. But after the last experience I'm not sure if I will go back. read more

I got there early afternoon so most of all the good stuff was already sold out. I got a pound of medium sized shrimp and a pound of Mahi-mahi. The shrimp were difficult to peel and devein and the Mahi-mahi was just butchered completely wrong. read more

It will be a mandatory trip, when in the MB area. I cooked all of this on my grill and it was awesome. Ambiance/Decor: B Well stocked and clean. Typical fish market with cold cases and plenty of ice. Service: A+ I have always had friendly service at this location. Plenty of knowledgeable employees on hand. In and out quickly and got exactly what I wanted. Food Quality: A+ I got the following and it was all delicious: 2 lobster tails, grouper filet, red snapper filet, shrimp, little neck clams, and a couple of king crab claws. The red snapper was sooo good. I love grouper, but I should have gotten all red snappper. The king crab had lots of tasty meat and the clams were great. It was all great! I wish the shrimp had been larger. Price: B+ Prices are high, but that's the cost of great fresh seafood. Well worth it. The staff here are not too bright. I ordered half a bushel of crabs today. One would assume they would be steamed. Especially with this being a tourism driven area, the option to have them steamed was never given. I get home, open the bag and realize the crabs were not steamed. I call them back and ask if they steam them and they said yes. I asked if I could bring them back so they could be steamed. I was put on a brief hold, and was told yes I could. I drove all the way back and had them steamed and they had the audacity to charge me $5 to steam them. I would have been fine if they charged me that in the first place. But to never give me the option to steam them in the beginning? A customer had to drive all the way back to get their order correct and you charge them $5 more? Just dumb. Poor customer service. So I wait for them to be steamed. 40 minutes pass and no crabs. Finally the same girl comes around to the front and tells me half of them are done but half are not. It takes 15-20 minutes to steam crabs. It's not rocket science. It's boiling water and watching steam appear. By the time we got home, all of the crabs were seared and way over cooked. They tasted terrible. The staff are lacking in customer service and maybe overall intellect. Ok, not maybe, but definitely lacking in overall intellect. Also, several staff in the kitchen were not wearing masks which surprised me given that the Myrtle Beach area is a Covid hot spot. read more

I went in to seven seas today Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 3:30 PM I ordered 1 pound of grouper for $10.99 and 1 pound of snapper for 999 a pound I got charged 3999 for the 1 pound of grouper in 1999 for the 1 pound of snapper the process was listed as 999 and 1099 I am not sure but this does not add up to the price as that was advertised then again I did go to Socastee high school feel free to contact me management to correct this problem I did ask for a detailed receipt and this is what I received read more

Fast, fresh, and friendly. I do think I was overcharged, somebody wrote to different sticky notes on my bags and they were added up when they should not have been. They need a more professional set up to take costs but you can't beat the quality read more

We bought about 1.5 lbs of Mahi Mahi here to make fish tacos with on vacation. The fish was very reasonably priced, local, and fresh. Best fish tacos I ever made! All the items looked fresh and were covered with plastic wrap then lids. The place didn't smell fishy at all- just that fresh sea smell you want your seafood to have! I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. read more

GO HERE! Fresh shimp and fish that you can buy raw or have them cook your shrimp fresh. The also take orders for a low country boil but orders must happen 48 hrs ahead of time. We got the fresh boiled shrimp and she crab soup. The she crab soup may be the best single item I have ever had to this point. The workers were extra helpful with information on were seafood came from and how to prepare. They also have several samples available. read more

Got blue crabs here a couple weeks ago. Sadly, they were not very good. Absolutely dirty, like they were caught in a swash. Very light in weight, and I measured a couple that were actually under sized by a cm or two. Disappointed. No more blues from here for me this season. Side note, I got crabs in Columbus, GA about 2 weeks prior and they were fantastic! 2 hours away from the ocean had better crabs than a place right on the water. read more

A great small place to buy fresh seafood. This trip we have stopped three different nights. First night was fresh flounder and scallops. Second night was fresh peeled and deveined shrimp along with more scallops. That last stop was to get shrimp to take home with us. They will pack your seafood in ice for you also. read more

I picked up Stuffed Clams, Stuffed Scallops and Stuffed Crab to go for an easy at home meal. They were delicious. Just the right shellfish (more) to breading (less) ratio! I will keep these in the freezer for those nights when we need a delicious meal with no work! We also got 1lb of medium shrimp they steamed for us with Old Bay. Having previously lived in the area I look forward to returning each summer to eat my weight in seafood. Murrells Inlet is known as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina and is dotted with many great seafood restaurants that take advantage of the inlet views. Sure you can drop $25 for a 4 oz piece of fish or come here and enjoy some fresh seafood you can prepare at home. Several of the Inlet's commercial fishing boat skippers opened a seafood co-op that is now Seven Seas. This place stays busy with fair prices, and outstanding customer service but they can get you in and out in no time. This trip I enjoyed some Mahi Mahi and little neck clams that were heavenly. There are several other seafood markets in the area but this one is my favorite due to their selection and prices. read more

The Voyage that Keeps Getting Better! The illustrious, colorful history of Seven Seas Seafood Market might sound like the mother of all fish stories, but it's true (well, for the most part). It goes something like this... In the 1970's, Phil Conklin was doing his patriotic duty with the U.S. Navy. While on shore leave in Charleston, he wandered up to Murrells Inlet and fell in love with the place. This was where he wanted to spend the rest of his life. After his military stint was over, Phil worked aboard several of the top charter fishing boats in Miami, Florida, spending his days on the water and hob-knobbing with the rich and famous, but he never forgot about Murrells Inlet. Several years later, opportunity came knocking. Phil and several of the Inlet's commercial fishing boat skippers opened a seafood co-op here, offering fresh-off-the-boat seafood at prices everyone could afford. It was an idea that resonated with the public and within a few years, Seven Seas Seafood went from rented space in the back of a local warehouse to its current location on Highway 17 Business in Murrells Inlet. Phil's son Chris is at the helm now, bringing the same fresh gourmet quality seafood to the public without the gourmet prices.

Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!

On yesterday, My Husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Caleb who is an exceptional person by the way. He was extremely knowledgeable about the variety of fresh food products. Even though it was extremely close to closing time he treated us as if though we were the first customers of the day.
