Beautiful seating inside The Clancy hotel. I love this taproom because they have amazingly delicious and very interesting hand-crafted cocktails. I've been here a handful of times (even if I'm not staying at The Clancy) because I LOVE their cocktails! Not only do they look fancy, but they are absolutely fantastic. Maybe a year ago or 2, they had this fabulous concoction called "The Secret Garden." I wish they would bring it back. This weekend, I had 2 cocktails: Pandan Cocktail which was the cocktail of the month. Wow! It was Pandan flavored with coffee liqueur which gave this libation nutty notes. Sol & Sage (but they ran out of sage so it's now called "Sol & Mint). Gingery with pineapple. Not too sweet. So good! I don't know how their bartenders add layers of complexity in their cocktails. Breakfast: Opted for the continental breakfast instead of the upgraded "full"/hot buffet, and to be honest - kind of regret it. Decent number of items to choose from for the continental breakfast, but unfortunately, none of the pastries included were any good - certainly decent enough for sustenance, but just not enjoyable. The everything bagel and very effective toaster were the saving grace. Juices were included and I gotta say, the orange juice was delicious! Anyway - definitely opt for the hot food buffet if you're set on not getting food from elsewhere outside of the property. Happy Hour: Korean style chicken wings were good, but only 3 wings included for $8, which isn't great. The soy based pickle was nicely refreshing though! Bavarian pretzel was amazing - crisp outside but soft and moist inside, nicely salted. Some might say this is a continental breakfast that's typically complementary with a hotel stay. A boring and mediocre buffet for $42!! There's nothing special to justify this price. This restaurant and bar is located inside The Clancy Hotel. Modern decor with staff that all knows your name. The hotel doesn't have room service but you can place an order and pick up from the bar which is what I did. I ordered wings and fries that came with a pickle ranch but I didn't taste any pickle which was a bit of a let down. The chicken was dressed but still had a crisp. Overall the meal was pleasant. We are staying at The Clancy and we were hungry for dinner . We were happy to see they had a restaurant on site . Went down and had cocktails :) We were greeted with a big smile from Regina . She was super friendly and took great care of us . We started w/ the Brussel Sprouts- nice char w/ a nice balsamic for contrast. Hubby ordered the Halibut,great presentation and was very good . I ordered the steak Gyro it was very good . Nice large area and really big windows to look out into the San Francisco evening. We are looking forward to Brunch tomorrow:) read more

My friend wanted to see if a favorite drink was still on the menu at this lovely spot inside The Clancy. Unfortunately, as it was a seasonal drink, it was not at this time, but will be back in the spring. However, we carried on and each found a drink that would work in the meantime. Very Demure, Very Mindful (think, fall/winter Aperol Spritz) for me and Keeping Up Appearances (a bit of a fall/winter twist on a martini) for my friend. Both drinks were expertly made. We saw A Date to Remember being created. I realized too late what was happening bc I didn't have my phone out to take a pic/video, but every step was fun to watch. The bartender was really interesting to talk with. We learned quite a bit from him about some of the history behind a few of the drinks. We'll be back in the spring for those seasonal drinks. read more

Stayed at the Clancy. Needed a quick bite to eat before heading to the Giants vs Dodgers game. Seven Square Taproom is inside the hotel open for lunch, dinner, and late(r) night. Lunch: Beef gyro with chips - good size and tasty for lunch meal. Chicken street tacos - also good sized portion for lunch. They're pretty generous with their proteins. Late night option: After game, ordered bulgogi bbq wings! These were yummy! Be patient with the staff though! They got busy especially with everyone hanging out after the game! It took awhile to get our food. Also had the chocolate Bundt cake which was warm, soft, chocolatey and drizzled with caramel sauce! Service is great! The outdoor patio is so pretty at night. Snag one of the fire tables with a group of friends or get a smaller table with a heat lamp. read more

The house restaurant and bar located inside The Clancy is a great find. The food is good, reasonably priced and plentiful. If you're a guest at the Clancy and solve the Rubik's cube show it to the bar tender for access to the secret happy hour menu. You can sit anywhere in the lobby or even outside by the fireplace and still receive good service. With all the great food available in SF we still found ourselves grabbing a bite and a drink here. read more

The drinks and food here are awesome! Great ambiance and food which is slightly unexpected for a hotel restaurant. We got the Martini and Keeping Up. Both spicy but well balanced with alcohol. Truffle fries, cheese board, flat iron steak, salmon dish with quinoa all good!!! Kids pasta with cheese and butter also nice and Al dente. Food: I could tell the food was really high quality, but the flavors just didn't go together well for me. I wasn't really a fan of it and I couldn't really finish it. It was also really expensive and I don't think it was worth the price. 6/10 Service: The staff was really nice and they were super accommodating. I've been here twice in the last few months and will be adding the restaurant to my weekend rotation The Clancy remodeled and upgraded its interiors during the pandemic, and the lobby and restaurant now have modern, chic, and beautiful furnishings. The outdoor area is also great for small and larger gatherings with structural chairs, huge fire pits, and lots of heat lamps (at least one per table) Everything we ordered was delicious with fresh, high quality ingredients Blood orange bruschetta - so good! Each bite is an explosion of flavor with creamy burrata, sharp balsamic glaze, light and sweet blood orange, and well toasted rustic bread Tajin grilled salmon - super tender salmon that's well seasoned. Our waitress advised not to squeeze the provided lemon on top as the sauce was already slightly sour/citrusy and she was absolutely right. The couscous salad with tomato, cucumber, and feta cheese is also great and beautifully presented. I appreciated that this dish was a filling entree but still light enough to not put me in an immediate food coma Mustard BBQ chicken wings - flavorful but nothing too special. I came here for a Yelp elite event and had a great time. I had two drinks of their Pom Fiesta which had pomegranate, I think some lemon juice and tequila. I thought the drink seemed pretty strong. We were able to try the Ube cheeseburger which was good and simple but I thought it had the potential to be better, it was served with cheese, a sauce and I believe that's it. I'm not too crazy about hummus but I enjoyed their edamame garlic hummus. The space is really nice and a good place for groups or a date. read more

We only had breakfast while staying at hotel. We had the breakfast burrito that was stufffed with eggs, roasted potatoes, cheddar, bacon, avocado and it was served with roasted salsa and house corn chips. It was very filling and can easily be shared for the price of $21. The Clancy Breakfast was a typical American style breakfast for $24. read more

Food poisoning. My wife and I ate there last night. It was a beautiful meal overall. She had the salmon then an hour later she got violently ill. Was sick all night. After reporting it the food and beverage manager wouldn't even offer a refund on the dish my wife ordered. Really disappointed in the overall care the restaurant had with the situation. Really enjoyed this place! Stayed 2 nights at The Clancy and ordered a few drinks here and a meal off the puppy menu the first night. Dog loved his meal and the Old Fashioned's were good! Second night, after a DoorDash nightmare, my family decided to hang out at the Taproom lounge and order food and drinks there. The halibut was very fresh and cooked just right. My husband loved the steak gyro. The squid ink pasta was good except that the chicken seemed pre cooked almost frozen, the pieces were all exact same size as if from a prepared food package, tasting like it. The pasta was excellent tho. This is a relaxed hotel bar/restaurant and the breakfast is also excellent. Very nice service and bartenders as well. No room service here is very inconvenient. I do not recommend anyone to visit this place. I stayed at the hotel and ordered food from here several times. On a couple of occasions, I received a phone call notifying me that the food was ready for pickup, but there was no check to sign next to it. Later, I discovered that the tip had been automatically added on those days. The management explained that it is the hotel's policy to include a tip for an unsigned bill. However, the bill itself was not provided! Furthermore, this policy is not stated on the menu. While they did promise to refund the tip amount, the entire interaction made it seem like the issue was my fault. It became evident that their bartender, along with a manager, were involved in some questionable practices regarding gratuity. read more

I am so glad they did the rebranding and redesign of this hotel. It looks much nicer than the Marriott. The taproom backyard is the cutest little gem in the neighborhood now. Service was good, nice small plates and drinks, our server was very friendly. Will go back for sure. read more
