Toasted bagels with the smoked salmon plate for breakfast
    Amanda S.

There were some hits and misses at breakfast. The coffees are good. The chocolate croissant was stale, unfortunately. Two Salmon plate orders were only served with two mini-bagels although without prompting, the server went ahead and prepared more bagels for us. The avocado toast was good but portion was small with only one egg and half an avocado. It's conveniently located right as you step out of the guest elevators for guests.

I probably would give this 3 1/2 stars, it was just slightly above average and given it's all you can eat. The price was OK. Nothing super special to write home about. Service was fine. Ambience was nice but again nothing crazy special.

Good option if you're staying at the hotel. Server was amazing. Great Drinks, decent food. Dont worry parents there is a kid menu.

Stopped by here to pick up dinner since I was staying at the hotel. Went up the bartender and asked for a menu. I ordered the Caesar salad with Salmon and also the beer battered fries. Total came out to be $45 before tip, it's San Francisco and a hotel restaurant so expect prices like this. My dinner came out fairly quick and I took it upstairs to enjoy. Salad was good, salmon was tasty, although I wish it was cooked through some more, it was half cooked/half raw but I think that's how a lot of places make salmon. Fries were good, had a nice crunch and batter. If you're staying at the hotel this is definitely convenient and will hit the spot for dinner. They also have breakfast and lunch during the weekdays and brunch on weekends. I didn't get a chance to try their cocktails but there were plenty of people at the bar enjoying them.

I only had their drinks but the drinks were fabulous...I'm going to have to try the actual food next time! I'm lightweight so I might not know what I'm speaking about though =P Great bartenders and they were super friendly and also gave us some pointers on local food faire.

Breakfast was included during our stay at Intercontinental and we were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast options. Solid breakfast menu, good portions and quality preparation.

Review after evening drinks and morning breakfast buffet during our recent stay at the Intercontinental SF. Liked both our cocktails. Also like the fact that the cocktail menu was new compared to our last visit (pictures attached). Breakfast buffet was nice but was quite pricey (for $39 + 18% Service charge). Breakfast seating is in the lovely decor of "Luce". Finally nothing beats the convenience of drinks and buffet right in the hotel.

Hotel bar and restaurant at the Intercontinental hotel. It was a lifesaver in the morning when I didn't want to go through the hassle of walking to the parking structure and moving the car out which would have taken 20 minutes. At the bar hours you can get a drink, snacks, and do food orders. During breakfast, the nice thing is the division of things you can order. For those in a hurry you can do grab and go items like cereal, yogurt, croissants, coffee, and drinks. For those with more time you can order hot, fresh made items to eat at the bar or take to your room. I got the breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg, and cheese in brioche with a salad. The quality was very good and the staff made the wait nice with their friendly attitude and positivity. Even the side salad was great quality!

Bar 888 is truly a hidden gem, they have amazing food and drinks, beginning with their breakfast, pastries, and coffee and ending with their incredible dinner menu. Antonio was our waiter and he was ABSOLUTELY delightful. He had amazing recommendations, brought our orders out timely, and was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Bar 888 and Antonio for making our experience memorable.

Bread pudding. So out of this world good I had to go back the next day. Food is good enough to want to stay at the hotel and not leave. We had the spaghetti bolognese and cheeseburger with a mixed salad. Impeccable service.

Great service, well prepared food and dining room seating. Nice decor and clean environment inside of the Intercontinental Hotel. The Cheeseburger and salad tasted great and fresh. The Diet Coke costed $5 a can. The Spaghetti Bolognese was tasty and comes in a half and full serving. The bread pudding is really good also.

Bar 888 is probably one of my most favorite hotel bars that I've visited. Shout out to Sergio for taking care of myself and the rest of my colleagues during our recent work trip to San Francisco. During our 4-night stay at the Intercontinental, plenty of us found ourselves starting and finishing our evening at Bar 888 after our work conference had ended for the day. And for how busy we made it for the Bar 888 staff, service was never once an issue. Hotel bars tend to be a bit more on the pricier side, Bar 888 is no exception. Drinks were around $12-$16/USD each, and for this Canadian, that was a bit on the $$$ side for me for one drink. But I mean, when in San Francisco, I guess. Great spot to meet for a quick drink or if you don't want to leave the hotel. Cheers to Sergio and the rest of the wonderful staff! Thank you again.

Pandan Vieux Carré ($22) By far my favorite cocktail of the night - very well balanced, spirit forward but also bright and silky. A5 Wagyu & Black Truffle Old Fashioned ($25) This was also fantastic, rich and buttery old fashioned with truffle accents. The A5 Wagyu is sourced from the Niku Steakhouse local butcher shop! Ube Cheesecake ($19) Wonderful dessert cocktail to finish the night. We didn't have time to try the Escape Room connected to the Speakeasy, but we'll be back! There are two rooms, one in the front with a puzzle theme, and another in the back with a Middle Earth (Lord of the Rings) vibe. Staff was friendly and took time to explain the clever menu to us!

Lore's Wonderland escape room was a fun and delightfully whimsical experience. **This review is…read moremainly for the escape room, as we did not order any additional drinks outside of the escape room.** THE SPACE // Lore Speakeasy and Escape Room has cool themed decor everywhere, from the dimly-lit speakeasy/bar room in front, to the Middle Earth/Lord of the Rings-themed board game room, to the individual bathrooms, and of course the escape room's multiple Alice in Wonderland-themed rooms. Clearly a lot of effort went into building these rooms and evoking a certain vibe for each. THE ESCAPE ROOM // The puzzles in the escape room varied in difficulty - some required us to think a bit more, some required our observational skills to work harder, and others required a light level of physical skill/movement. We were perplexed a few times but never got stuck for too long, as the White Rabbit (played by Phoenix, the live actor/puzzle master) would jump in occasionally to provide clues over the speaker or in person. It took us about 1 hr 20 min to finish the entire escape room; I thought the pacing was good. THE [ESCAPE ROOM] DRINKS // Lore's escape room experience comes with "a flight of themed cocktails or mocktails, including "potion"-style drinks that are integrated into the experience as you progress", per the website. We got to choose one cocktail/mocktail option (Korean Cold Noodles) from a list on the website, and the other two drinks are pre-selected to supposedly fit into the Wonderland theme, with the flavors described online as "berry" and "peach". You can get both cocktail and mocktails for your party, in case some people want alcohol and others don't. We all enjoyed the flavor of the Korean Cold Noodles cocktail, which was refreshing and surprisingly a bit minty in the mocktail version. However, we didn't like the two other two pre-selected themed drinks as much. The "berry" drink gave us cherry cough syrup vibes, and the cocktail version of it was quite strong. The "peach" mocktail drink reminded me of canned fruit syrup; we also were missing the two cocktail versions, though we decided not to ask for them as the mocktail version already was less than impressive. One other missed expectation here was the size of the drinks that we received in the escape room. We were expecting full-sized cocktails, like what they serve in the speakeasy in front. Instead, we found out that the drinks are served in small "vials". Given the size of the drinks in the escape room, combined with us not even enjoying two out of the three drinks, I would preferred to go through the escape room without the drinks at all, and likely pay a bit less for the escape room then. OVERALL // I'd still recommend the escape room as a good one-time experience with a date/friends/family. Just don't expect too much from the included themed drinks! The speakeasy drinks on the main menu do sound unique/tasty, so I might come back again to try those sometime.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
