I work @ Burbank Airport Commerce Center (off San Fernando Road) I've been seeing this little cafe on the way in and out of the office for the past couple weeks but haven't been able to find it on Yelp! I finally stopped by this morning and met the owners who are so very nice! I found out they just opened a couple weeks ago and getting things going, Hence not being on Yelp yet! I thought I'd get the ball rolling for them since my visit was so lovely:) The cafe is small but very cute! It's all brand new and clean, the serve sandwiches, salads, pastries and there's a small sitting area up front. I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito to go and it was fresh and delicious! I wish I had time to hang out and eat my breakfast there it's so nice, maybe next time! I also found out they cater, so I will be letting our office manager know so we could look into that! I encourage everyone to come check out this new cafe since there's nothing like it for miles! Can't beat fresh food !! read more

I often travel throughout the San Fernando Valley for work. In between meetings, it's hard to find time to eat food and it's also hard to find places that offer gluten-free and healthy options for me at a decent price. I had to drive to Sunland for work today and decided to look on Yelp to see if anything caught my eye. I typed in "quinoa" and of course Seventeen Cafe came up. They have a plethora of salads so I decided to check it out. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the decor outside; a vertical succulent garden on each side of the door greets you and is aesthetically pleasing against the drabness that is Sunland. It's in a rough-and-tumble neighborhood across the way from the Burbank airport so it's hidden away. Inside it's clean, welcoming, and fresh. Most of the salads were premade and in already portioned out containers in a refrigerator that was also stocked with Perrier and several sodas, waters, and juices. This somewhat disappointed me because it meant that for $4.50 I was only getting a certain weight rather than having it be something more plentiful. The only thing I didn't get to check out was the outdoor seating. I didn't see any, which I thought was kind of disappointing. I saw in some of the pictures there is seating so I'm planning on going back. Check this place out for on the go sustenance. read more

This is such a cute little restaurant.. my first time today, got a turkey sandwich and it's sooo good so fresh and so many yummy veggies in it. Got half a sandwich half soup and all I can say very impressed. The people who attend you are just so sweet and very informative very welcoming!!! Definitely coming back. read more

Quiet and hidden location by the Burbank Airport. The employees here are very kind and are willing to satisfy your needs. I ordered the Veggie Breakfast Burrito and was quiet delicious and fresh. My husband took me to Seventeen Cafe for lunch for the first time and I must say it's a hidden gem! In an area that doesn't have the healthiest food options, Seventeen Cafe offers really good, quick, healthy food. Plus it's really affordable and the lady that served us was a sweetheart. Their lentil soup and chicken veggie soup was great and I loved their avocado salad. Will definitely be going back soon! read more

My girlfriend and I went here solely because of all the 5 star reviews. I've got to say I don't get it. Review of the food. The $7.50 sandwiches we got (roasted turkey and mortadella) were only a little better than $5 Subway and Quiznos sandwiches but also only 10" compared to 12" from those places. They were good, not great and certainly not "quite tasty", "amazing", or "mouth watering". The bread seemed like it was a couple days old. Review of the service. It was mediocre and we felt like we were bothering the two ladies at the counter, like we were interrupting their lunch. Every question had to be asked 3 times. When I asked if the grape leaves were made there the answer was "no, we just make sandwiches." It felt like they didn't want to explain anything to help us decide what extra things to buy (like sides and salads)...so we didn't get any. Can't see why we'd want to go back. read more

This is the kind of business we need in sun valley. Something young, refreshing, and design conscious. The sandwiches are large and tastey, (I'm a chicken salad sandwich kinda guy). The staff is very friendly and honest and street parking is readily available. If you have a lazy day it's a great place to kill a few hours on your laptop in their patio away from the bussle of Burbank and Starbucks. read more

Excellent sandwiches! Stopped here on my way to the airport while I was in town. Super cute exterior with lots of fresh plants, very streamline design inside, excellent customer service, cute little patio out back, and one amazing lunch! My friend and I had the chicken salad sandwich and the Olivier sandwich and swapped each other halfs so we could try both. Both were really amazing, but the chicken salad won the prize. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. This will be my new pre-and post flight lunch. This is a counter style restaurant where you order at the counter and take your sandwich to go or to the outside patio. Not a whole lot of seating, but there are a few small tables outside. Today I was thinking about what I should eat today for breakfast. It just so happened that I remembered wanting to try this place since I've been passing it on my way to work. First off, its a nice, small cafe. The small touches of the plants in the front and the modern design quality makes it a fantastic location to dine and take pictures at. I wish I had more time to just eat there. Mind you, the airport is right next door so it can get loud at times. Second, the owner was really nice. He immediately reached out to start a conversation with me. We talked about Halloween and I asked him some questions on his design. Awesome experience! Third and finally, my vegetarian breakfast burrito was fantastically great. Keyword, it was really fresh. I eat burritos on a regular basis and I was impressed. I work down the street and frequent this little cafe way too often ... but that's not a bad thing (my bank account will argue that though). Super yummy FILLING sandwiches, great options for hot and cold sides, everything down to the condiments is fresh and just so perfect! The ladies running the place are so sweet and wonderful and the one time they made me the incorrect sandwich when I ordered online and I went back in to have it remade after realizing it, they happily remade it for me, sent me with extra extra avocado and even let me take the incorrect sandwich with me which I gave to a coworker. Options for everyone: meat lovers, vegetarians and yes vegans, you too (get the veggie sub with no cheese or mayo along with the quinoa or avocado salad!) These Guys will continue to get my business, not only are they conveniently located near my workplace and apartment but I love supporting small businesses, especially one that treats their customers so well! Haven't personally tried the breakfast minus the parfait but it looks delicious and I can't imagine anything bad about the bagel sandwich and burrito options they offer! Will be back today to get my fill of delicious sandwiches as it's been a week and that's just far too long without! Tip: if you're in a rush, call your order in ahead of time (if you've got a 30 minute lunch at 1239, Call in your order around 12-1215 to allow for that lunch crowd rush) OR order via yelp/eat24 for pickup. Wow was very disappointed, especially since they have great reviews! I just noticed this cafe and I automatically pulled over, not only did I have to wait five minutes until someone appeared from the back, but when I asked for a blended mocha, the woman told me "ugh well I have to make it". Rude?? I automatically said never mind and walked away. If you get annoyed having to make anything then maybe you should not work at cafe/restaurant. Very disappointed and was hoping this would be my new favorite spot, especially since I live a few blocks away. read more

Simply phenomenal. I've been working in the area for about 4 years and have become somewhat of a Subway slimeball, going to that wretched place 3-4 times a week. Praise the lord, hallelujah for Seventeen Cafe. It's my new lunch spot. It's very fresh, very clean, very affordable and very tasty. I actually FEEL better the second half of my day after eating here. Every sandwich is delicately put together to your liking pleasure. A restaurant that does not have a bathroom is not really prepared to cater for its clients. The food is alright, mostly deli food. But they still haven't got the concept of what a small restaurant really is. Like a glass with ice or accepting credit cards. read more

My husband and I found this place last minute on Yelp. So I luckily came across this adorable café! Service was amazing! The sweet lady helped me figure out what I wanted.. Call ahead of time if you are in a hurry! I waited 20 minutes with 3 people ahead of me, just to get my order taken . They don't seem to have a routine to serve a high volume of people at once . I ordered a vegetarian sandwich and I asked the lady, which she was low on ingredients to put onions and she just ignored me and made the sandwich. Overall I thought the sandwich was a little pricy and not so good in flavor . Is a nice spot to order food and sit out on the patio , but I won't be coming back . I wish this place was closer. I am a sandwich connoisseur and I'm not lying when I say one of the best sandwiches ever! They have very fresh ingredients and they use a french bread role. Crusty outside and soft inside. If you like a soft role than this place is not for you. But if you know good food than you know this kind of bread is essential for a good sandwich!! The ladies working there are super sweet and I can tell have been cooking for sometime. Be patient. They make each sandwich with love. Try calling ahead of time if you are in a rush. They have chips and a good selection of soda! Nothing fancy, just delicious and fresh. The place is small with a little patio outside. Take the time to check this place out. This place opened up somewhat recently and I've been wanting to review it ever since because I'm obsessed. Its a very cute small cafe that is so close to my work place. Very delicious and my new favorite cafe! The staff are very very sweet and always are so quick when I order on the phone! Their sandwiches are delicious. I was rushing around making calls for work and this little cafe caught my eye. It has a very modern vibe and the food is very high quality and reasonably priced. I wasn't hungry enough to finish a whole sandwich (which looked amazing) so I decided to have a bowl of lentils and a passion iced tea. Both were pretty good, but I've had better. The lentils came with a side of bread and when I tried it I knew I had made the wrong decision and a sandwich would've been a better choice. Even the wheat bread was very moist, fluffy, and fresh. The service was also very good and the staff was friendly. Next time I will have to stick to the main offerings and order a sandwich. Will definitely be back if I am in the area. read more
