Last year, a perfect job was done installing body side moldings on a new Mazda CX5. That same car brushed under a tree branch (oops) and scratches resulted on the roof. Fortunately a staff member rendered an opinion that the scratches could possibly be removed by using a liquid lacquer. And, he did what was needed, easily. Wow, was I impressed. Moreover, there was no charge. I am greatly appreciative and strongly recommend this shop.

Wow. My husband scheduled an estimate this morning about some minor body damage. He had tried to…read morework on the scratches by himself but that made it more noticeable. John Brady took his time to assess the situation and then went WAY above and beyond to work on the two spots for about 15 minutes. When he was done, the scratches were barely noticeable. The Fitzgerald service manager recommended taking it to Elite Auto Body, which I did. The estimate from Elite was about half as much as the one from Criswell, so I had the work done there. The door had to be removed, blasted, repainted, and re-coated, and when I got the car back a few days later it was as good as new -- and the price charged was less than the estimate!

I went in seeking a quote to mend an ugly long thick black mark--possibly a sideswipe--all along the side of my beloved 2016 Lexus RX 450h, my favorite car ever. Sure the mark had broken through the paint, I dreaded both the price tag and repair challenge, considering the car's paint is that tricky pearl white. Brad excused himself and momentarily returned with a cohort, spray bottle and clean white cloth, which they carefully applied all along the mark. It took a bit of scrubbing, but the mark disappeared! Brad could have taken the car in, merely cleaned it with his magic potion, kept it for however many days, presented it to me as "repaired" and charged me a tidy sum--which I'd have happily paid, delighted that the car looked like new. He charged me nothing. Not that I wish for another car booboo, but I certainly know where I'll go to get it fixed: GOTT AUTO BODY!

I filed for an estimate online and received a blank estimate and it was up to me to call and ask when I could bring it in and how much the estimate would be. I was told they had seen my insurance claim when I told State Farm I was using them and that they would have let know when to drop it off, but this was never the case. While they had it I called to check up on it multiple times and they gave solid updates sometimes and others it was "I will call you back on day X" only to get no call or "let me call you back in 30 minutes" to never get a call back. The work took longer than I expected which I can understand in a labor shortage/ supply line disruption but it was up to me to call when the estimated repair completion date came and went. this all being said I'm happy with the job they did! I'm just not sure if I would use them again unfortunately.

Unlike the other 3 body shops I received quotes from they were able to fit me in for my repair as soon as the parts came the following week (other places had a start date weeks out). While we were waiting for the parts to arrive they also helped stabilize the damaged part of my car so that I could actually get around while waiting.

After taking a day off to have my vehicle assessed for damages, Severn Auto Body wanted me to sign a Mechanics Lein. I informed them that this is not my policy and I would not sign a mechanics lien. They tried skirting the issue to make me sign stating that "It's just a Formality". I explained that if I signed a legal document that I could be responsible if Geico fails to pay or delays payment. The General Manager "Will" end up coming out in a very aggressive tone stating "If I didn't like it then I could leave". So, I left. I called Geico and they said that is NOT how they should be conducting business in their name. This manager and his employees have zero reason to be polite since they turn over business for insurance companies, so they treat you like trash. Stay clear of Will & his team at Severn Auto Body.

I arrived right at closing time and was about to place my key in the after-hours drop box when two employees were leaving. One of them said, "we're closed." I explained that I was just dropping off my key and planned to use the drop box, or come inside if possible. He responded that the alarm had already been set. He did take my key, filled out a short form, and placed it in the box, which I appreciated. When I returned to pick up my car, I mentioned that a more courteous greeting--something like, "Hi, we're just closing, can I help you?"--would have made a difference.
