Great. They have a gigantic selection of quilting and fabric pattern tools, as their focus seems to be more embroidery and long-arm quilting centered. The staff is knowledgeable PLUS they fix sewing machines here, which is extremely important if you have an older machine that needs a tune up or a repair. My dream would be for them to stock more exotic fabrics, like fleece, faux furs, vinyl, sheen fabrics etc. as there is a huge void being left from the closing of joanne fabrics for costume makers that need to see and feel fabrics before purchase, but that may just be a dream of mine and may not be their business goal. I'm definitely going to try one of their classes or "open-sew" sessions and bring my new computerized machine. read more

I dropped my machine off for embroidery arm issue, was told by the owner 2-3 weeks and $75-80 for the cleaning and oiling. After 5 weeks I called, got voice mail, left a message inquiring about the machine, left all my information, I had hoped for a return call. Never got one! At 8 weeks I called again, women on the phone was very rude, when I asked why it was taking so long, she got raised her voice and said "At any given time we have over 200 machines here for service". \Rather shocked I asked when I could expect it, she told somebody (a women's name) had checked the machine over and now "he" has to check it. So I waited again for a call...nothing!!! Finally at 12 weeks I had enough waiting! We went to pick it up, done or not 12 weeks for simple service is too long. Owner tells us he called and left message in June. Ahh no ya didn't. Phone number on paper work is correct, I went though my cell phone longs, never got call or message. To say I'm VERY disappointed is an understatement. Its a beautiful nice store, but it lacks communication in the service department and the employees need to learn to answer the phones with out being rude! I tried the "oiled" embroidery arm, now it has a squeak it never had before. Ugh!!! read more

I took my machine in for servicing and was told it would take about 2 weeks. It's been 2 MONTHS and still not serviced. When I called twice , I was told the owner has been very busy with shows and a convention. I wasn't told ahead of time that this was coming up. If he has other commitments at least communicate with me that it will take a longer period of time. I was also told they sometimes send the machines out for servicing. The former Frank's Sewing Center has moved and become much larger since its name change. It has everything one needs to be a very happy sewist (new fancy word). Brad, the owner is the best sewing machine repairer hands down, no, competition. The shop also has, besides wonderful fabrics, patterns, classes, etc., a long arm quilting machine one can rent. We brought it to Brad and within 15 mins the machine was fixed and now my mother-in-law will get her quilt. Great customer service. I would give the store five stars for the variety of items they stock, however, my experience purchasing fabric yesterday knocks it down to one star. I asked the clerk about the color of the fabric, (the fabric line, has several of the same prints, with different color names and codes on the bolts), the answer I got boldly was, "How would I know?" A few customers at the cutting table laughed and my way to the checkout desk another lady said wow she (clerk) is having a bad day. After the fabric was cut and handed to me, I told the clerk thank you, have a nice day and was on my way. My daughter-in-law said she could not believe what she heard. This is the second time I have been answered, rudely and uncalled for by one of the clerks. The sad thing is most often, aside from one or two clerks I often feel like it's an imposition for them to help. I prefer to shop local, but experiences like this, no matter how nice the store itself might be convince me buying online is just as good if not better. Evidently customer service training is not something they do well at the store. I travel quite a distance and I certainly can go a little further to another store. When it was owned by Frank you were treated well. They've lost a customer. read more

I am clueless when it comes to anything pertaining to sewing so when I first stepped inside Sew Much More I felt a little overwhelmed with everything they had displayed. However-Kathy, an employee, was super helpful. I explained to her what I was looking for and she went above and beyond to ensure that I got what I needed. She took the time to explain to me what I needed, why I needed it, and here's the kicker-how to use it. I was very thankful to have her service and appreciated the time and effort she put into our conversations. I had originally asked her if she could point me in the direction of the safety pins. Our interaction could have ended there but her knowledge and expertise was awesome and I will definitely be coming back to Sew Much More because of her. Thank you Kathy! My old sewing machine finally died, as I was sewing protective masks for the pandemic. I called, the woman who helped me was very patient as I am an amateur. She was not pushy at price, I knew what features I wanted. I went home with a beautiful Bernina machine, that had everything I wanted! I am so happy! I will go there for classes and 1:1 instruction when it is safe to do so. Interesting to note, this was all done via phone. I am looking forward to being able to go into the store! read more

Kathy is a five star sales lady. She is polite, friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I would definitely return to the store and make another purchase. I am a frequent customer to Sew Much More. Not only do they have an awesome selection of fabrics and accessories, the service is excellent. When it came time to upgrade my old Singer, I worked with Kathy to select just the right Bernina for my needs that fit my budget. I'm somewhat of a novice and learning as I go, but she walked me through everything I needed to know to get started. Additionally, when I brought my serger in, she spent considerable time helping me achieve just the right stitch and even made thread recommendations to help me get the right look for the rolled hem I was after. A few months ago, I didn't even know what a serger was. Now I am an expert in troubleshooting and it no longer scares me. Finally, I feel completely safe shopping there as I have never encountered either a customer or staff member unmasked and everyone maintains social distance.
