I have an iRobot Braava, which I use once a week after vacuuming, and I love this machine! The rubber on the tires were getting worn so I ordered new iRobot tires from Amazon and decided, after holding onto them for over a year, to have them replaced. When I dropped it off they didn't even seem to know what it was, but took it in for the repair anyway. I was told that they don't usually work on robots....then they should NOT have taken it for the repair. When I went back to pick it up, paid for it, brought it home, turned it on, all lights went blinking with a tone and wouldn't stop. I took it back to them thinking there was a wire loose after they opened it up when removing the wheels. It's been 4 weeks since I dropped it off the first time and I was able to pick it up today....broken, unusable...a throw away! He said, you didn't bring the charger in with the machine the first time....NO I did not because it wasn't any kind of repair that required the battery (and it was completely charged up anyway). So very disappointed that now I not only paid for the machine, paid for the new wheels, paid for their wheel replacement charge and have nothing to show for it. Absolutely amazing service today at Sew Pro's. I brought in my one-year-old Shark for cleaning and maintenance. Miss Peggy at the front desk was wonderful. So engaging and knowledgable. I really enjoyed chatting with her. Warren, the technician, came out to look at my vacuum, and provided valuable information on the machine's features and how to best keep it clean and running well until its annual maintenance next year. A great guy. The store itself is lovely, so clean and pleasant. You'd never know that very dirty vacuums were being cleaned in the next room. While I don't sew, the store has an extensive and beautifully organized selection of thread and supplies. The sewing machines are sparkling clean, and arranged invitingly. I was told by Dyson to take my fan here for repair. As I walked into the store with the fan in hand, the woman at the front was shaking her head at me. Once I told her that I was bringing my fan in for repair, she said in a rude tone that they don't repair Dyson fans, only vacuums, and that Dyson needs to stop sending people to her store. I was just doing what I was told by Dyson, but she seemed to take it personally that I brought my fan in. I understand that this woman was frustrated because Dyson keeps sending people to her for work that they can't do, but her rude, dismissive tone was unnecessary and off putting. Sew Pros, if you don't want Dyson to tell people to come to your shop, tell them that. I was going to bring my sewing machine in for repair as well, but after this very uncomfortable, unprofessional, and inappropriate exchange, I definitely won't. read more

Had 2 Dyson vacuums serviced. I asked for full inspection and repair/replace any worn parts. I paid the same as the price for service as they were asking for in showroom for fully rebuilt version. Less than a month later I started experiencing issues with the seal on the clean out falling apart and breaks in the vacuum hose on both! and the brush stopped spinning on one. After spending two hours on phone navigating Dyson's bureaucracy and then speaking with another local vacuum service company who said they were "not allowed" to service my handheld Dyson vacuum, I called Sew Pro thinking that I'd get the same run around. Instead, they said "Bring it in! Let us look at it and we'll run a free diagnostic." Warren was able to troubleshoot and call me soon after I dropped it off. I brought in 4 vacuums that were being used at our preschools in the San Diego area. They weren't taken care of very well, very dirty and dilapidated after years of use and weren't working as they should. They were all commercial vacuums that were on the expensive side so I was hesitant to throw them out. I found Sew Pro's Sewing and Vacuum repair in the El Cajon area. I called and spoke to a gentleman that was very professional and service oriented and he quoted me $50 to tune them up and get them working again, I'm glad I brought them in. The lady answering the phone needs to calm the hell down. Called September 4th on Saturday morning. Maybe she was having a bad day but DUDE! Why does she keep raising her voice and to keep reiterating the same thing over and over raising her voice then hang up with a simple request? I wasn't being rude, I told her I purchased a belt that was 31289 Kirby belt size, and the lady on the phone said they only sell one and make one and kept reiterating and cutting off when I was trying to explain the situation that I get that, but I have a 289 belt and need a 391 and need to confirm she has the 391. Soooo, I broke my beloved Dyson vacuum the other night. Well, I thought it was broken. It had turned off and would not turn back on. I debated tossing it in the dumpster. The next day I was called with a diagnosis (clogged and overheated). I authorized the fix and it cost me $40... anddd my awesome little 3 year old vacuum looks brand spankin new! Everyone I encountered here at Sew Pro's were super friendly and helpful... from the first inquiry on the phone, to the nice lady at the register at drop off, the quick phone call back with my estimate, and another sweet lady who rang me up this morning after just 3.5 days in the shop. I had a full service on my trusty Kenmore, and needed a couple of minor repairs done (since I neglected her and never had her serviced in my entire 15 years of ownership!!). The total was a little pricier than I imaged a sewing machine service would be, but definitely reasonable considering what all had to be fixed when they explained it to me. They were even so nice to point out my amateur self had been using the wrong bobbin for years... and gave me TWO free metal bobbins, and a free spool of Gütermann thread when I showed them the Yelp check in. I totally needed some grey so that was a nice bonus. I unbagged my baby when I got home and just sat there admiring how shiny she was! They did such a thorough cleaning job inside and out, and I can't believe how much smoother she feels to work with now. I will never neglect regular service ever again!!
