Sexy Pizza in Jefferson Park has never disappointed. I've been going here since they opened so many years ago. I don't even live in the neighborhood any longer but will still make the drive over for some amazing pizza and garlic knots. The staff is friendly and their restaurant is trendy and clean. Sure, amazing pizza takes a bit longer to make but it's worth it. Oh, and they're priced so much better than some of their competition. This location has no dedicated parking so be prepared to look for street parking. It's a safe neighborhood (I used to live there) so I never mind walking a block or two (even three) for my pizza. read more

Pizza was decent, but charred. I placed the order (for one pizza) at 7 and was quoted at 20-25 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later and they had me waiting for ten minutes once I showed up. When I got home, I found out that they didn't put mushrooms on my pizza. When I called to tell them, the manager told me to mention it next time I ordered a pizza and they would give me a free topping. I don't consider having to spend more money at your establishment a solution to this problem. This place was recommended from a gluten free group as having some of the best gluten free crust around. I have celiac, and didn't get any reactions, but they do say they can't guarantee no cross contamination, so depending on your sensitivity level, keep that in mind. I have been on the hunt for a place with not only gluten free crust that is solid, but also, no nightshades. I contacted the company to find out who sources their gluten free crust and they were ind enough to let me know there is no potato starch in the crust, so this is a clear winner for me from an allergy standpoint. I want to marry this chocolate cake but not the pizza. The crust is a thin pan crust with a thin sauce. Good toppings though. The prices are outrageous but it helps a local fund. Wow! I thought I would be the only one with this complaint but it's obviously chronic! Grant wrote how he ordered pizza at 8:30 and didn't get it until 11p.m. This is absolutely the case for us pretty much to the minute. Similar to Rhiannon, we were only 3 blocks away. If I were a business owner or manager, I would have walked it over myself. How is anything over an hour acceptable? It clearly isn't something they care about. This has become one of our "go to" pizza spots in the Highlands, but it definitely has some issues to work out. The delivery time always seems to be long, and even pick-up can take longer than what they tell you. The service inside is acceptable, although it's not always the most welcoming. Then again, I'm going there for pizza not to make friends. The last time we ordered for pick-up we just ran across the street to Jefferson Park Pub and had a brew while we waited - worked out perfectly. The pizza itself is great. Good crust, great ingredients, and great sauce make a great pie. We've had a few different salads (Spinach, Italian) and have loved them every time. When we decide on pizza we always have to balance the long wait with the quality of the pie, and I think there must be a statistician out there figuring out the relationship between the two. Our favorite spots always take a little longer, so we go elsewhere if we're in a pinch...otherwise, sit back, have a beer, and be happy when your pie arrives. Here are my tips for Sexy Pizza experience: 1) Make sure you check online and know what you want before you call in, they're not super helpful at guiding you through the menu. 2) Be ready for a longer wait than what they tell you. If they're on time or early, it will taste even better. 3) If you're close by, order for take-out. Run in and let them know you're across the street, then sit back and have a beer while they prepare your delicious pie. read more

3.5 stars. I think this place has a couple good things going for it (lots of seating, several TVs, warm interior on a cold night, open later), but also has a couple drawbacks. I went in with a friend and even though my order was taken right away, she wasn't helped by anyone for many, slowly dragging on, minutes. When they finally started to help her, the first person couldn't figure out how to input her order in the computer (guess nobody ever orders a salad here?) and had to ask someone else to come help. At which point, he tried to repeat what she was trying to order and had it all wrong (not knowing what she wants is your first problem with being able to input it in the computer, LOL). Meanwhile, I'm miming at her from across the room: What are you ordering?!!! because it's been like 10 minutes. I will say that the guys working were all nice, though. As for the food...the garlic knots were on the doughy, undercooked side and sadly not my friend's favorite. I thought they were okay, but I admit liking things with that sort of texture. The salad with chicken was passable and a more affordable option on the menu. My veggie calzone was pretty decent, but took about 15-20 minutes to get. Their toppings are minimal, and never worth what you pay - even when I've ordered extra cheese I don't think they've really put extra cheese on the pie - it's over priced, and ALWAYS takes longer than they say it will. They always have an excuse - "we're down a few people tonight" "we had a big order" "we only have one delivery driver" "the grub hub app didn't work" - 40 minutes for pick up and over an hour for delivery when we're in walking distance. If I could give a 0, I would. Horrible customer service and we never got our pizza after waiting over an hour and a half. They forgot to put in our order for an hour. We were then promised 20 minutes, then added 20 minutes to that wait time. When we asked for a different pizza or anything they could give us, we were told they could not do that either. First off, the Becktown is the best pizza in town. I also love their Sexy Sheikh and Supreme, and love that those purchases support local charities. But good food is really only half the battle with restaurants. Sexy Pizza also has amazing service. We placed an order online one night and arrived at the estimated pickup time. It wasn't ready and I had to wait around for a bit. A manager reached out and MORE than made up for it. The manager apologized, the staff apologized. They really went above and beyond. I think a large part of customer service is how you deal with mistakes (because nobody's perfect). At Sexy Pizza mistakes are rare, but when they happen they handle them perfectly. The pizza is good and definitely sized well, but Probably not going to order again. The toppings they give you are so pathetic. I ordered a supreme pizza and there was really nothing supreme about it. The onions and peppers were cut SO SMALL that you could barely even tell they were on there and definitely couldn't taste them. As far as the pepperoni, they put just enough on to tell it's there, but not enough to taste it in most bites. 2 medium pizzas: 1 "supreme" and 1 pepperoni/jalapeño was $52 for 2 pizzas with scarce amount of toppings.
