Pollo brasa is very authentic, cooked in wood fire has the true smoke Peruvian flavor that it's known for. Salad, fries and green sauce were also very good and authentic. Price is a bit high but worth it for our family since this is the closest and only location to offer this authentic food in all of SoCal. $36.99 for whole chicken with two large sides. We stopped for lunch on a busy Sunday afternoon and the servers were very professional fast and courteous. Will be back! I'm from northern VA best spot for Peruvian chicken and this was def close enough.

This hole in the wall or call hidden gem whatever you want to call it I definitely recommend it. This place is small but that's the beauty of it. Carlos and his wife have held his business for over 20 years!!! The service is always on point. The food is great. It's very delicious and always comes to perfection. This place is legit. I notice every time I go I hear all the Peruvians lovely people eating and enjoying themselves. What a beautiful rich culture. Don't let the outside industrial area fool you. Inside it's clean and very homie. They take care and card. No washroom inside location. You would have to grab a key and go outside. Just heads up.

I really enjoyed this place! We got in around 11:30am and were the first customer. It seemed like a burger place from the looks of it - and we're okay with that. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and my wife got the steak saltado. BOTH WERE AMAZING!! The shrimp fried rice had a kick to it, but the curry was so flavorful, its a definite must try! The saltado SAUCE was amazing, ask for extra rice when you go in, trust me it'll be worth it. I only had 1 little complaint, we never had our waters refilled or the waitress never came by with napkinds. I literally drank all my water and ate the ice too - i kinda looked around, but I think she was busy in the back as well... Its not a big deal, but its the little things in customer service that go a long way!! Anyhow, i will be back and i really enjoyed the food! Thank you for having us!!

I've passed by this place a couple of times and made it a point to come here since my co-worker and I love peruvian food (and it's so hard to find now a days! RIP La Pollada). We had: Pollo a la brasa (rotisserie chicken) Chicken was scrumptious, well marinated and juicy. The green sauce is delicious but a tad more on the creamy side (but I like creamy aji, so no complaints here). They give you a whole bottle so you can aji it up to your heart's content. It comes with a nice salad that has a light vinaigrette and rice. The rice was a tad hard on our visit, but nothing a little aji couldn't fix. Lomo Saltado It's been a while since I've had lomo saltado and this did not disappoint. Steak was plentiful and juicy. The sauce was well balanced with flavors of soy sauce, onion and spices. The rice was also a tad hard, but the sauce on the lomo, and the aji did help that. Bonus: They have maracuja AND Inka Cola. I opted for maracuja and it was delightful. If you're in OC and you're looking for a solid Peruvian joint - do come to Senor Pollo!

Trying this place for the first time. The place is small but its pretty packed for a sunday afternoon so thats always a good sign. The chicken is really tasty and not dry at all. I will come back for the chicken. We also got the tallarin saltado which is very bland unfortinately. The bathroom is all the way at the back of the building and its not well kept at all. No toilet seat covers, no paper towels and the toilet paper is just sitting on the broken toilet paper holder. Cant find any recent online menu so took one for y'all

I can't wait to come back to Senor Pollo and try every dish in the menu!!! I love Peruvian food, but I didn't know where to go, so my Peruvian friend brought be to her favorite spot and I loved it! I had their signature chicken dish. Wow! The seasoning is so tasty! The chicken so juicy and flavorful all the way down to the bone! I can eat fries all day and the serving was so generous! I also tried my friends Seafood dish. The flavor was delicious and the seafood so fresh! Indoor dining is not yet available but there is plenty of shaded outdoor dining space. One last thing, don't forget to order Inka Cola, it tastes like Bubble gum but it works and it goes well with the meal! Trust me! Try it!

Since we had never tried Peruvian food before, we decided to give this place a try -- and we're so glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we noticed the ocean-inspired décor -- seashore elements, fish, seashells, and fishing nets on the walls. It gave the restaurant an exotic charm and made the cozy space feel warm and inviting. We ordered the signature Ceviche 19, Pulpo a la Parrilla, Arroz con Mariscos, and Tamal -- definitely more than enough food for the two of us, but we wanted to try a variety of dishes. The food arrived surprisingly quickly. The moment we saw the generous portions and smelled the aromas, I had a feeling we had found a hidden gem. Every dish tasted delicious, and some flavors even reminded me of food we enjoyed in Spain. It's honestly hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good. The ceviche came with such generous portions of fish -- it felt like fillets from an entire fish! The Pulpo a la Parrilla was unique and beautifully prepared, with a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, potatoes, green onions, and huge Peruvian corn. The Arroz con Mariscos was rich and flavorful, and the seafood tasted incredibly fresh. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to bringing family and friends back to try it!

The restaurant is on the smaller side with the kitchen within sight. Friendly staff welcomed us, and asked if it was our first time, which it was. As usual, I wanted to try a variety of dishes: Trio of appetizers pequeo included fish ceviche, crispy fried squid calamari and potatoes in cheesy sauce. Trio of empanada (we got two chicken and one beef) piping hot and juicy delicious fillings , accompanied by a very spicy sauce. Tallarin verde (green sauced spaghetti) is topped by a thinly breaded steak that was cooked well done, still tender and quite tasty. Suitable for the child with us. The aji de gallina dish is served with a generous scoop of rice : sliced chicken breast in a slightly spicy huancaina cheesy sauce. Peruvian tamal was delicious and had shredded chicken in the masa. It must be cooked in a tomato sauce because it wasn't the usual yellow corn color. Would gladly come back. But be advised Airconditioning was not working and the sun was beating down hot through the glass windows. The curtains were drawn closed. It just seemed unable to block the heat at all( it's a corner spot with windows all around.

The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.

We parked in the lot and came for an early dinner at 5PM on a Wednesday so did not have to wait. The restaurant got busier as the time got closer to 6PM. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, truly stellar. Many servers were bilingual in English and Spanish. There were also a few foods and goods for sale. The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a wooden house/cabin. As for the food, the complimentary hot bread is very tasty, and we enjoyed the Ensalata Argentina also. We ordered the Parillada Mixta for two (comes with side choice of fries, roasted potatoes, salad, or sauteed vegetables and we chose vegetables), as well as the Risotto Don Juan de Marco. The parillada came with a substantial amount of meat kept warm on a grill, accompanied by a chimichurri. The short rib meat was a bit tough but still tasty. I felt like the risotto was good but not outstanding. We finished with a creme brulee for dessert and someone also ordered a coffee (cortadito). The meal was solid though came out to $150 after tax and tip.

Service was amazing, the host was checking in often and the food came out in good time. The food overall was decent. Honestly I've had Peruvian food with more flavor profiles and payed a little less, the chicken was a little dry and did not have that Peruvian, you usually get some good spices and citrus with Peruvian food and it felt closer to fajitas with French fries. The yuca fries were actually done really well but came with no sauce or dip and the empanadas were good but fell apart t very quickly. The filling was good and there was a whole green olive inside that had more flavor than the meats. I would have chopped up the green olive, and integrated it more. I find the food here to be decent to satisfy my random Peruvian food cravings and not wildly far off from the food I had in Peru. I had gotten takeout here a few times but finally dined in for a weekday lunch recently. Didn't get the server's name, but service was amazing. We did stand by the entrance for a few minutes before anyone greeted us and seated us, but that could be due to the restaurant layout that's somewhat of an upside down L shape, and most people were sitting tucked inside away from the entrance. I've got ceviche mixto and recently ceviche mariscos. Both are satisfying. The difference is the mixto contains white fish and all the other seafood (shrimp, octopus, squid, mussels) while the ceviche mariscos only contains the non-fish seafood. They are not cheap, but the portion is generous and it is quite a lot of seafood. We got medium spicy for dine in, which was the right call. I think I had gotten spicy in the past, and while I love spicy food and have good tolerance, it was still spicy to me and distracted a bit from enjoying the seafood. The ceviche comes with sweet potato, yucca, boiled corn, and cancha (Peruvian corn nuts). And no meal is complete without a chicha morada. I also enjoy anything with platano frito. If I recall correctly, the tallarín verde and lúcuma ice cream were pretty good, too. The pionono is okay; I'm not a huge fan of sponge cake, and the dulce de leche is very sweet. I prefer Porto's tres leches cake, which I know isn't Peruvian, but is perfect for my taste.

We came in with our daughter, who is on the autism spectrum and has very specific food preferences and sensory needs. As we have done on previous visits, we brought food from McDonald's for her so that she could comfortably eat while we enjoyed our meal. We explained this to our waiter and let him know that we have always been allowed to do this in the past because of our daughter's special needs. Unfortunately, the waiter refused to allow our daughter to eat her food and repeatedly stated that his manager, Angel, made the rules. Despite explaining our situation and our long history as customers, there was no effort to accommodate us or show any understanding. What makes this even more disappointing is that we have been coming here for years and have spent a significant amount of money supporting this restaurant. Our family meals would often total close to $200, and we were regular customers who genuinely enjoyed dining here. It was upsetting to see that our loyalty seemed to mean nothing and that no consideration was given to our daughter's circumstances. Rather than make our daughter uncomfortable or cause a scene, we chose to leave. As parents of a child on the spectrum, we expected a little compassion and understanding. Instead, we felt unwelcome and dismissed. We are extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled and, sadly, after years of being loyal customers, we will not be coming back.

By the register they have dried goods/snacks/sauces from Peru for sale. I bought a pack of Doña Pepa to take home (if you aren't familiar, they are cookies dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles!) The menu had a decent amount of options. We ordered: Yuca con Huancaina, Anticuchos, Ceviche, Jalea, Lomo Saltado, Aguadito, Papa Rellena. I'll start with what NOT to order. The aguadito was way too thick, almost porridge like. It tasted like it already had lime squeezed in. The taste was not what Im familiar with. The yuca con huancaina was also a skip for next time. The yuca was a little undercooked, and the huancaina tasted closer to a nacho cheese. Youre better off ordering something else. Moving onto the main dishes: * How a peruvian spot makes lomo really tells you how its gonna go. The meat was perfectly cooked. This was presented more like a deconstructed lomo since the fries and tomatoes were not tossed together with the meat and onion. The overall for this dish was 4 out of 5. They were but heavy handed with the soy sauce. Still delicious! * The jalea (fried fish and calamari) was perfect!! 5/5! Perfectly crunchy and all the seafood was great. No fishy taste. The mojarra was one of the best fried mojarra I've had in a long time. Just order it, and dont forget to ask for a side of lime. * The ceviche was good, the leche de tigre was the kind you wanna just slurp up at the end. I liked that they asked if we wanted it spicy and how spicy. My dad got normal spicy and wasnt spicy at all to us so we may just get spicy next time. * The papa rellena came with two small papas and was chicken based which threw us off. There was no indication on the menu or by staff that it would be chicken. My mom spoke up to the server that she was a little bamboozled by it The server told us some weeks they do chicken and some they do beef. We wish they told us before we ordered, or had some notice about asking what the filling of the week would be. Flavor was good. * Anticuchos had a good seasoning, they were a little on the more cooked side but they were definitely not tough as other reviews mention. The aji they serve is on the spicier side, you could tell before tasting as its not light in color. Overall good food with reasonable pricing.
