    Trio of Empanadas
    Archie S.

A very cute and ambient Peruvian Restaurant with a very nice and friendly family run vibe. The service is very friendly and the very sweet elder woman working there was working her butt off doing everything from serving, answering phones, food running, bussing and even serving drinks for a good amount of the dinner hour. So clearly she was over whelmed but did her best to get to everyone so I felt for her. I'm guessing staff called out and she was left to do everything on her own. I was ok since I understand the hustle but I could tell it was effecting other people's service so hopefully they get that urgency back as it's a very tough industry. As for food and starters, a variety from Calamari Fritti, Trio of Empanadas (spinach, beef and chicken), and Causa Rellena were ordered for starters. The calamari was slightly on the burnt side where you almost tasted the slight burn and grease but had potential to be good. Maybe a sauce to go with it but I was using the green sauce (Peruvian salsa) for everything. The Empanadas were good, but the sauce it came with had very little flavor. Once again the green sauce comes to the rescue. The Causa Relleno was pretty good. I've never had anything like that before but it's like a tower of Peruvian mashed potato with shrimp and avocado. It acts great as an appetizer or something to go with an entree. Lastly for the entree, one of my favorite dishes the Tallarin Verde Con Pollo. The classic green salsa pasta with the chicken milanesa (thin chicken cutlet). While the chicken was good the sauce was a little watery and not as thick/reduced as I have had before. Again make sure to add the magic green salsa on the chicken for extra flavor. To end the night, I was recommended the Peruvian Bread Pudding whic coms with the Peruvian Ice Cream. The sweet lady recommended it and it was probably the best item of the night. Realistically a 3.5 star as it's slightly above average but hopefully they lock in on certain details as I would love for this place to stick around in this very tough and competitive industry.

I ordered for delivery and the food was still hot and fresh. The chaufa de pollo was full of flavor with the green sauce. For the empanadas, I opted for spinach and cheese filling. The sauce it came with had an interesting tomatoish broth flavor. I was pleasantly surprised that it came with pieces of what appears to be sliced baguette with packets of butter. If you're looking for good Peruvian food, I would recommend this spot!

Just finished a great meal from one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in OC. Ordered takeout by phone. Lomo saltado - a perfectly savory balance of soy and vinegar. Marinated red onions served with white rice to soak up the sauce. Ribeye is absolutely delicious but the regular steak is good too. Tallarín verde con pollo - tastes fresh and herby. Unpopular opinion: This might be my number one over the lomo honestly. Papas a la huacaina- rich and creamy and comforting. With a kick. Would we have been fine without it? Yes. But was it worth it? Yes.

This is one of my aunts favorite restaurants to go to and visited her today so thought why not try it out. I had the Tallarin verde con pollo which was a nice simple dish and we got the empanadas which were my fav, it came w spinach, chicken and a beef empanada. My aunts favorite dish is the Aji de gallina. The service is nice and friendly. The ambiance gives a Peruvian authentic feel to it. Will come back to try the Saltado dish.

Authentic Peruvian spot where I enjoyed som fresh ceviche and empanadas. The service was A+ as the waitress was very attentive and made sure I got my water refilled after being daring and ordering my ceviche spicy. Really cool authentic decor that transports you outside of LA and has you feeling like you are somewhere in Peru. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for some great food.

I must have been a hero in a past life to be able to come across this absolute gem of a restaurant in this one. Oh my goodness gracious I wish I was a camel so I could eat more than one meal it was the most delicious food I've ever had in my entire life (sorry mom) and I will be coming every week from now on TAKE MY MONEY. Service is lovely, very intimate while also being mindful and their recommendations are on point! It's a crime that the place was as empty as it was but it allowed for me to receive quick service. Y'all don't sleep on this place I beg Lomo Saltado and Chicha Morada is what I got and what I will be getting again after trying the entire menu

In the mood for some Peruvian food and found this amazing spot while out in OC! Best thing was how attentive the staff was- if you've never tried Peruvian cuisine, they will guide you and show you the numerous options they had. I was craving lomo saltado so I went with their popular dish! Not disappointed at all- the sauce was so good and tasted amazing with the rice and vegetables. Beef was a bit chewy but great mixture with the potatoes and onion. I even took it home to eat for later from how much I enjoyed it. Ambiance is super cute here and feels elegant. I would def recommend this spot!

Went based on the positive reviews. Well we were a party of three, we ordered picante carne this was salty and lacked flavor and the two tablespoons of beef were so tough. The next entree was the arroz con mariscos 90% of the dish was chewy calamari very hard to eat and the rice was under cooked. Third entree was the aji de gallina this dish was ok, nothing to come back for. The restaurant was not busy for a Monday at 5 pm. Two slfemale servers were there, service was awful! She never came back to check on us or to refill our water until we were just about done. She was to busy yapping with coworkers. We definitely will not be back or recommend. Ambiance was average, nothing special.

Plenty of parking and ambiance is very festive! Love the decor! Gives a glimpse into Peruvian culture. The accompanying music sets the mood for pleasant dining. Always enjoy it. Service is excellent 10/10 Have been here many times and always enjoy the food. This time around decided to try something different and sadly will not be trying that particular food item again. The mashed potatoes were okay, a bit watery and somehow lacked flavor. The chicken stew with rice was also a miss unfortunately. Endured a few bites then decided to order my usual chicken and pasta and was definitely happy I did! This one never fails try it! Planning to work my way through the menu. Stay tuned!

Food was delicious! We started with the heart antichuos which you have to eat right away, and was so good with the potato and corn. And, the calamar Frito, which was so good with the refreshing salad/salsa. Washed it all down with pisco sours, yum! The lomo saltado was very good, with tender meat, covered in flavorful sauce and plenty of fries and onions. The green sauce was spicier than most places. They ran out of bread. Staff was friendly, Def would come back!

Inka Cantina in Fountain Valley is a must if you're craving bold, authentic Peruvian food. Every bite was packed with flavor. Service was just okay, not attentive.

Drinks and food were both good, worth the wait. Chicken Wings -crispy and light, chicken was soo juicy. We loved the raw minced garlic sprinkled over top. Saltado Fries (w/ Filet Mignon)- Sauce/glaze they used to stir fry the dish was just the right amount of sweet and stickiness. Something about their green sauce is so addicting. Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, we ordered it medium. Chifa Fried Rice (with Filet Mignon)- fried rice had plenty of wok heat aroma. Next time if we ordered both the fried rice and saltado fries, we might opt for a different protein rather than both being Filet Mignon. Garlic Butter Prawns -shrimp had the perfect snap and cooked perfectly. Sauce paired well with the rice, rich and decadent. Rib Bone Soup -sooo good! Beef ribs were fall off the bone tender. Soup was clear but flavorful which helped wash down the rest of our meal. If you love glass noodles, you have to give this a go.

I really recommend the pear salad because the arugula, burrata, the dressing with the Korean pear is so refreshing. One downside is that they're a bit too pricey now so I don't go as much as I did before.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. Restaurant felt warm the moment we walked in and so welcoming.

The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.

Honestly I've had Peruvian food with more flavor profiles and payed a little less, the chicken was a little dry and did not have that Peruvian, you usually get some good spices and citrus with Peruvian food and it felt closer to fajitas with French fries. The yuca fries were actually done really well but came with no sauce or dip and the empanadas were good but fell apart t very quickly. The filling was good and there was a whole green olive inside that had more flavor than the meats. I would have chopped up the green olive, and integrated it more. The high level and consistency of service and amazing food I had every time going to Bella Cuba is truly unique. Regardless if its just a simple lunch break, birthday dinner with friends, or anniversaries; I've spent a lot of time at this restaurant and have never had a bad time. So much so, that when it came time to figure out a caterer for my wedding Bella Cuba was my first phone call. Nick and his father Antonio were upfront with me about having never catered a wedding (we had 150 guests!) before even though they've catered other large events. I was convinced with their food and level of service that they would do an great job, and once the day came they did not disappoint. We got a little bit of everything: salad, garlic bread, beans, rice, garlic shrimp, pollo asado, and the oxtail! Nick coordinated with us every step of the way for months prior to our wedding. He even stayed for the whole wedding to make sure the food was served properly! One of the big takeaways from our wedding from all our guests and vendors was that they've never had better food at a wedding, and I think that's a testament to Nick and the whole staff's work ethic and attention to detail to their level of service and great quality of food and ingredients. My only wish is that my wife and I had more leftovers for ourselves, but the look on our guests faces when they got to take home the extra ox tail was worth it. Now, whenever my wife and I go back to the restaurant we're reminded about our fun wedding, and the food and service is always just as great. My wife highly recommends the oxtail. Being a vegan myself I always go with one of the vegetarian specials (They're vegan!) as I love the beans and yucca. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, 10 out of 10 for everything, you won't be disappointed!

The pisco sours are amazing here. I love getting the one of Maracuya. I get the Ceviche Mixto which has raw fish cooked shrimp and calamari. The Causas come with 2 you can either get two chicken or two tuna or one of each. You can ever go wrong with the empanadas or the papa Rellenas. I'm not a big salad person but I love the salad that they offer I usually ask if they can add chicken (with an extra charge of course). Mmmm now for the entrées....... You ask what's my favorite out of the whole menu. It depends what day are we on? I'm a big Peruvian that loves her Lomo Saltado but I like getting the Lomo Mar Y Tierra. It's like a Lomo Salado they just add shrimp to it. A little surf and turf yum! Arroz Con Mariscos..... it's like a paella, it's green rice because they marinated it with dark beer and cilantro sauce with all the seafood in it. Pescado a lo macho...... it's a little spicy if you can't do spiciness. It's a Bronzino without the bone with different sea food in a delicious red sauce and a side of white rice. Out of ALL the pasta my all time favorite here is Tallarin A La Huancaina. It's a really good creamy yellow sauce and on top they put Lomo. To me it's literally like having pasta and Lomo Saltado with out the fries or the side of white rice. Arroz Chaufa...... Peruvian fried rice. I love fried rice. I usually get chicken with it. Aji De Gallina...... I'm picky with this dish because I only eat it when my sister makes it BUT here.... Yum! I love the one they make here. I can keep going on about the food here. Ohhh can't forget the Cancha that they serve you right when you get seated. It's a corn that they fry there at the restaurant. It's literally so addicting. You can't forget the dessert. They have 2, the first one is Crema volteará, it's a baked custard, kind of like flan. I'm not a flan person but this one I would eat every time I eat here. And they have Peruvian Alfajores, it's a powder cookie with like caramel inside, and there's 5 in the order. Big shout out to all the servers!
