The preorder box came with randomized drops of what's in season that week, our small box came with Herby Olive Twist, Coffee Caramel Pain Au Chocolat, Strawberry Rhubarb Cruffin, Lamb Pain Suisse. The pastries: they really got their lamination down. The pastry shell is amazingly crispy and really good layers regardless of the type of toppings or fillings it has. The flavor combinations were fun and familiar. It's like getting some of your favorite foods being converted into a croissant. Of the ones we tried I really enjoyed the salty ones like the olive twist and lamb, I was impressed how well the pastry kept crispy even with the sauces. The sweet ones like the caramel were too sweet for me to even finish, but that can be personal preference. After trying all these fun flavors I still think the highlight is def the pastry, will need to try the original croissant next time! Ambiance: the vibe of the bakery was great, lots of hard working ladies and feels like they are passionate about what they do. Bright and airy with lots of pink accents. Would definitely come back again, but probably would not wait over a hour for it because we do have a lot of great bakeries in SF.

Each pastry had layers of flavors and it was so flaky. My absolute favorite was the morty P (big mortadella fan over here). This pastry was just perfect in every way. A team member was laminating some dough and stepped out of the kitchen to hand me a napkin dispenser because she saw ya girl needed some napkins to wipe her mouth haha. So excited to come back again!

You can also order ahead online if you want to minimize wait time. Just make sure to bring cash since they're cash-only. Food: The flaky crust instantly brought back childhood memories. We tried the red bean and black sesame flavors, and both were excellent. The seaweed paired beautifully with the red bean, adding a subtle umami depth that balanced the sweetness perfectly. The black sesame flavor tasted rich, nutty, and authentic; true to its name without tasting overly processed or filled with unnecessary additives.

Such a variety of pineapple buns and other pastries, I really wanted to try all! We ended up trying the original, gold butter, custard filled, mango custard filled, pandan butter, guava butter and bbq pork. We also had to try the egg tart and the bbq pork tart. That bbq pork tart was phenomenal! You get the flaky puff pastry and mochi combo! Everything was superb but our faves from all that we tried were: Gold butter, guava butter, that bbq pork tart and the bbq pork filled buns. We left with another box to enjoy at the park!

Today's was tomato basil,…read moreand it was very basil forward and over flowing with heirloom tomatoes which made it almost refreshing which sounds strange for pizza but it was so satisfying. With a crispy undercarriage and still somehow perfectly chewy melty, it had a great balance . I also got a chocolate chip cookie which was massive for the price, chewy and not too sweet. The service was quick but the out door seating was full today, which reflects the popularity of this quaint and highly popular location. Luckily it's a quick walk to the park and even through the extra distance, the pizza was still crispy and delicious.

My friend has gone to the other location a few times and said the other one was better, but this is my one off experience with Arizmendi. Ranked from best to worst, we got the: - almond croissant: kinda dense for a croissant but simple, lots of filling - daily pizza which was triple mushroom with a sesame ginger vinaigrette: a little gimmicky, smelled stronger than it tasted, not bad but wouldn't reorder, kind of dry but love the crust - cheese roll: dry as is but probably better warmed up, tasted like the pizza crust - chocolate mint cookie: very crispy edge with a softer middle, personally was too crunchy for me bc I like a softer cookie, definitely needed more mint - cowgirl cookie: letdown, had high expectations but this was super dry and needed more mixins Open to trying more pastries here because there is a large variety and wish the daily pizza flavor on our visit was better. Prices are fair and there was a line that didn't take too long.

Every time I'm in the city, it's always closed but that's on me since I went on a wrong day! I was greeted well and the staff were nice to offer suggestions. Now the choosing part was hard! I love the Asian and French fusion going on here. The shop was minimalistic and felt cozy. Sadly there is not enough seating if you want to enjoy your pastries and/or lattes inside. The cream puffs were absolutely to die. It was filled with rich creamy custard and slightly crunchy on the outside. Not too sweet either! It's also my first time trying salt bread. Wow! It was incredibly buttery without being too salty. The texture reminded me of a flaky croissant crossed with a baguette. Next time, I'd love to try the garlic cream cheese salt bread and some of their artisan croissants like their kalbijjim, hotteouk, and injeolmi. You are limited to 3 pastries so choose wisely!

It's a flavor experience! On this recent visit, I tried the salt bread, and I'm not sure if this is what it's supposed to taste like, but it had a dish soap flavor that really wasn't good. Overall, it's still one of my favorite bakeries in the city, but I'll be staying away from the salt bread.
