Best cooked piece, still a bit black and burnt. Fyi, This is the second pizza.

I found Coastline right after they changed from the former OC Pizza. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and had an amazing pie. My family and I have ordered a number of times for large parties and had great results. However, today I went in to spend some time with my Daughter and have a pizza. The same pizza we've had before. After what seemed like an unusually long baking time, we received our pizza burnt to a crisp...bitter and piping hot. I returned the burnt pizza and asked for another, to-go, as our available time had elapsed. After about another half hour, pizza arrived but definitely not what we have been used to, and no pepperoni (first ingredient on the list for The Dockside) See pictures and video. Maybe just a bad for day pizza. We will be looking elsewhere for now.

I actually saw this pizza place on TikTok and saved it. We decided to place an online order because we were gonna go over to the beach area and watch the sunset. We arrived at our pick up time but unfortunately it wasn't ready on time we had to wait like another 10 or 12 minutes. My husband went inside to get the pizza. He suggested that we eat at the location but mentioned that it was very smoky inside from the pizza ovens. My review is strictly for the pizza and let me tell you this is one of the best pizzas I've had in a very long time. When competition is fierce in Orange County this is a fantastic product. We opted for the pizza. I think it's called the Pacific. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, caramelized, onion, black olives, and pepper, but we also omitted the mushroom. We asked for our crust well done. It was incredible. The sauce, the dough, the crisp, the crunch plenty of toppings. It was easy to order online I wish I could mention more about the inside or other items that we just didn't have any of that. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. We're definitely coming back. I definitely wanna try another pizza and the little gem salad as well as one of the cookies.

Okay! I don't usually go to hole-in-the-wall pizzerias but this one was one of the best I've had. They have cute little arcade for kiddos while you enjoy a draft beer. We decided to come by & stumbled on their happy hour! We got lemon pepper wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries - tallow fried! Everything came out very quickly. Biggest surprise by far was the beer we got. I had no idea what a schooler was but then it was the biggest beer mug I've ever seen haha. Had to leave half of it. We were so full after the appetizers I need to try a pizza next time! PS you get rewards & discounts if you add your phone number!

Just discovered this place from Instagram and wow! Everything they said on social media was all true. Their pizza is absolutely delicious!! The sourdough crust is outstanding. And using no seed oils is another draw. I didn't feel bloated after eating it. Excellent service over the phone and in person. It was a lady I wish I remembered her name. She was an excellent bartender/server. She was so friendly and explained the menu. I even got to meet the owner. His passion he has for his place definitely shows. Can't wait to try more!

Overall very good. The pizza was fresh and quality was great. The cook on the pies were perfect. I really enjoy The Shoreline. It was very well balanced and super flavorful. The sausage with peppers and pepperoni was perfect.

WOWee, COASTLINE, truly wish you were closer to the coast / my neighborhood. Thanks first and foremost to the dude from the Forking Around TikTok account for leading me to this place as I had never heard of it before.I was looking around for restaurants in the mission Viejo / laguna hills area since I was heading there for a doctors appointment. Not only did this place not disappoint, it totally exceeded my expectations. I got half pepperoni half bonfire Some wings: half lemon peppy half habanero something. And paired with an ice cold slap n tickles from Anaheim powerhouse brewery x. Damn, so you know how people overhype and rave about folks pizzeria? That shit's weak and have always found it to be underwhelming. People are so dramatic and hyperbolic when posting about it. Now coastline is an example of a place that does a great sourdough base. Perhaps the style is a bit different but it's in the same wheelhouse. I wish it was closer to my home but I still see myself going very often. SAME APPLIES TO TRULY PIZZA. Don't get me started with that place or I'll really start getting irritated, so overinflated ..my God (except for their crudo / raw fish appetizer thing, that was insane) Anyways!!!Cheers Big Ears!oh and shout out to the sweet n friendly staff. well deserved 5/5 restaurant.

woah!! this place is so great. had to try "chef's special" for socal pizza week - detroit style pizza with vodka sauce, cheese, ricotta, basil (i removed the italian sausage) for only $20! I don't know what's happening but lately places have been charging $20 for 2 slices of detroit style so I was happy to see this. Sourdough starter delicious and so fluffy but makes it very thick !! the girl at the front & the girl who took my order over the phone were seriously so sweet too! beaming with positivity I couldn't help but feel the great energy in this place. will be back!!

What makes an excellent pizza? A great foundation: dough, sauce, and cheese. Coastline nails all three. The crust is sourdough, perfectly chewy with real character. The tomato sauce is zesty without being too salty. And it's all topped with cheese that melts beautifully across every slice. If you want a great pizza, this is probably the best in the area. We started with the coastal chopped salad, which was the perfect opener and a great preview of the pizza to come. The service is top notch and everyone is genuinely friendly. At one point I was waiting at the bar for a beer that was actively being poured, and a staff member still came over to check if I needed help. A great touch that says a lot about how they run the place. Even better for beer fans: all their drafts come in schooner size. Bottom line: if you like pizza and beer, this place is a must-visit. Coastline Pizza is our new default for pizza night.

Decided to place an order to go here tonight and we are so glad we did!! We got two pizzas, one was the New York Round Amalfi Inferno and the second was the Detroit Motor City Pepperoni. We also got the Garlic Knots which were so bomb. If you haven't been here and want to try a new pizza place, check out Coastline!! The staff was nice and helpful, plus it was clean and put together well inside! Perfect for a night of Football like tonight

FIVE STARS !! Love this pizza. It's about as close to New Haven Style pizza as you can get - but without the char. It's all about the crunchy dough. Thin and light. The proper crunch. We had the Bonfire. Tiny pepperonis, creamy burrata, honey and fresh basil. Prefect combo of crunch to sweet to spicy to herb to creaminess ratios. Also the Pacific Coast pizza. Olives and peppers put this one over the top. Great salads too. This is my new fave za in south oc. Forget about all the bougie competitors in DP and SC. Coastline Pizzeria is legit.

This location used to house OC Pizza, but Coastline Pizzeria recently opened up, and my family and I think it's way better! They offer New York style thin round pizzas and Detroit style thick square pizzas. They have a few local craft beers and several mainstream beers (would be great to have more crafts on draft!). We met up with another family for dinner on a Friday evening. There were several families already there, but there were enough tables for us. We all liked the new decor and layout. Our kids had the NY pepperoni and we adults had the Detroit Motor City pizza. Both were delicious...the cheese, sauce, toppings, and 2 types of crusts were super tasty! My wife keeps mentioning that she has been craving their pizza all week long. This is a good place for families with kids, which is exactly what we need in south Mission Viejo. I am glad this new restaurant got rid of the pool tables that OC Pizza had and increased the dining area. I am also happy they kept the video games!

Amazing pies! We finally had chance to try this spot & are very very happy that we did! First up was the round pie. We opted for pepperoni & garlic on this one. This was a very good pizza, quality pepperoni & a very flavorful sauce. Next up was the Detroit style. This was the star of the show imo & was one of the best Detroit style pies we've had in Orange County. The crust was perfect! (I will never u destined reviews that complain about "burnt" crust, apparently you've never had a good pizza!) Thanks to the staff for correcting a simple mistake like pros! Looking forward to being in the area again sooner than later for round two!

We went to the soft opening of this place the other day so the rating is more food weighted than service or ambiance. Inside, the restaurant was clean and like a group pizza joint with a cool neon sign on the back wall. Service was attentive and the food came out at a reasonable time. The BBQ chicken salad was great, with fresh grilled chicken and nice balance. For the price, it was a decent portion and can easily be split between 2-3 people. We got the Vodka NY Style pizza and this was a hit. The basil on top is a nice burst of brightness and the vodka sauce was well balanced. The sourdough crust was unique compared to other pizza places around and it had a great crisp even under the pizza which had pepperoni on top (grease). The only knock was the Detroit style pizza. The burnt cheese around the edge was very salty and cooked in a way that made the surrounding dough tough. The pizza wasn't also as tall as a usual corner pizza, but the flavor combination on top of the Dockside was pretty good. Overall, I'd definitely come back and grab the NY pies and try another salad. Most of their pizza combinations on the menu sound great.

    Bonfire pizza and a beer.

There seemed to be enough people working but for whatever reason the service was incredibly slow. Our server would approach one table, then disappear, then return with one item. Them repeat. It was so bad I had to go inside and see what was going on. (20 min after receiving a drink) There were plenty of employees- mostly they were standing around. Our server was very nice- and the food was great, but management needs to figure out a system for serving that avoids 20 minutes delays before ordering. Our server was serving tables in and out of the restaurant and having a hard time at that. Finished our drinks before we were able to get her attention to order our dinner.

Their prices are good, service is fast and the pizza has a nice crunch to the crust. They have a nice menu with pasta dishes and sandwiches in addition to pizza. But sadly... They seem to be terrible at actually providing what was ordered. Tonight we ordered three pizzas and two were completely wrong. This seems to have been getting worse over time. One of our common pizzas we prefer to have jalapeno on half of the pizza due to differing heat tolerance in the family. We explicitly called this out while ordering and got jalapeno across the entire pizza multiple times. Ok, I guess we can deal--those with lesser heat tolerance can just pick it off. We've called in the past and the customer service has been apologetic and in one case offered a credit for a future order. Tonight, we had two completely wrong pizzas: 1. Pepperoni, mushroom, red onion, artichoke. Well, we got sausage, red onion, and artichoke. Two of four toppings were correct, one was swapped, and one completely missing. 2. Sausage and mushroom. Well, we got a mushroom pizza. No sausage to be found. When calling, the person answering the phone was completely dismissive. He read off the order [showing that what Grubhub transmitted to them was correct] and didn't care that what they delivered was flat out wrong. And then said that if we wanted anything done, to take it up with Grubhub. A combination of incompetence and poor customer service is not great. It has us thinking that we need to find a new local pizza joint. Which is terrible because the pizza is pretty good. But if they can't deliver what we order, then we never know what's coming. And in a house with some food allergies, we want to know that what we order will be correct. This has been our local trusted pizza joint for almost a decade. But it seems that it's going downhill, and that is truly sad.
