My new favorite pizza! Seriously amazing! Had no idea this place was here. We had Motor City Pepperoni Detroit style. So good! The hot honey set it off. The cookie with ice cream was delicious. And a great beer selection. We went with Double Nickel. Garlic knots were delicious. Everything tasted fresh and made there. We were pleasantly surprised. Everyone was very nice and friendly. In fact, the owner was there making pizzas. It's that kind of place. Inside is very cool. Big tables for groups, arcade games, cool music, TVs, etc. Fun and unique vibe. Great vodka pizza - it's incredibly flavorful. The garlic knots were excellent, and the dipping sauce was a perfect complement. I do wish they offered an 18-inch pizza, though. Their largest pie is only 16 inches, yet the pricing is comparable to what many other pizzerias charge for an 18-inch pie. The meatballs were good, but only getting three for the price doesn't feel like a great value, especially since they apparently used to serve four. I also think stopping sandwich service after 4 p.m. is a missed opportunity. Overall, the food has great flavor, and I'd definitely come back. I found Coastline right after they changed from the former OC Pizza. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and had an amazing pie. My family and I have ordered a number of times for large parties and had great results. However, today I went in to spend some time with my Daughter and have a pizza. The same pizza we've had before. After what seemed like an unusually long baking time, we received our pizza burnt to a crisp...bitter and piping hot. I returned the burnt pizza and asked for another, to-go, as our available time had elapsed. After about another half hour, pizza arrived but definitely not what we have been used to, and no pepperoni (first ingredient on the list for The Dockside) See pictures and video. I actually saw this pizza place on TikTok and saved it. We decided to place an online order because we were gonna go over to the beach area and watch the sunset. We arrived at our pick up time but unfortunately it wasn't ready on time we had to wait like another 10 or 12 minutes. My husband went inside to get the pizza. He suggested that we eat at the location but mentioned that it was very smoky inside from the pizza ovens. My review is strictly for the pizza and let me tell you this is one of the best pizzas I've had in a very long time. When competition is fierce in Orange County this is a fantastic product. We opted for the pizza. I think it's called the Pacific. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, caramelized, onion, black olives, and pepper, but we also omitted the mushroom. We asked for our crust well done. It was incredible. The sauce, the dough, the crisp, the crunch plenty of toppings. It was easy to order online I wish I could mention more about the inside or other items that we just didn't have any of that. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. Okay! I don't usually go to hole-in-the-wall pizzerias but this one was one of the best I've had. They have cute little arcade for kiddos while you enjoy a draft beer. We decided to come by & stumbled on their happy hour! We got lemon pepper wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries - tallow fried! Everything came out very quickly. Biggest surprise by far was the beer we got. I had no idea what a schooler was but then it was the biggest beer mug I've ever seen haha. Had to leave half of it. Just discovered this place from Instagram and wow! Everything they said on social media was all true. Their pizza is absolutely delicious!! The sourdough crust is outstanding. And using no seed oils is another draw. I didn't feel bloated after eating it. Excellent service over the phone and in person. It was a lady I wish I remembered her name. She was an excellent bartender/server. She was so friendly and explained the menu. I even got to meet the owner. His passion he has for his place definitely shows. Can't wait to try more! read more

woah!! this place is so great. had to try "chef's special" for socal pizza week - detroit style pizza with vodka sauce, cheese, ricotta, basil (i removed the italian sausage) for only $20! I don't know what's happening but lately places have been charging $20 for 2 slices of detroit style so I was happy to see this. The tomato sauce is zesty without being too salty. And it's all topped with cheese that melts beautifully across every slice. If you want a great pizza, this is probably the best in the area. We started with the coastal chopped salad, which was the perfect opener and a great preview of the pizza to come. The service is top notch and everyone is genuinely friendly. At one point I was waiting at the bar for a beer that was actively being poured, and a staff member still came over to check if I needed help. A great touch that says a lot about how they run the place. Even better for beer fans: all their drafts come in schooner size. Bottom line: if you like pizza and beer, this place is a must-visit. FIVE STARS !! Love this pizza. It's about as close to New Haven Style pizza as you can get - but without the char. It's all about the crunchy dough. Thin and light. The proper crunch. This location used to house OC Pizza, but Coastline Pizzeria recently opened up, and my family and I think it's way better! They offer New York style thin round pizzas and Detroit style thick square pizzas. They have a few local craft beers and several mainstream beers (would be great to have more crafts on draft!). We met up with another family for dinner on a Friday evening. There were several families already there, but there were enough tables for us. We all liked the new decor and layout. Our kids had the NY pepperoni and we adults had the Detroit Motor City pizza. Both were delicious...the cheese, sauce, toppings, and 2 types of crusts were super tasty! My wife keeps mentioning that she has been craving their pizza all week long. This is a good place for families with kids, which is exactly what we need in south Mission Viejo. Amazing pies! We finally had chance to try this spot & are very very happy that we did! First up was the round pie. We opted for pepperoni & garlic on this one. This was a very good pizza, quality pepperoni & a very flavorful sauce. Next up was the Detroit style. This was the star of the show imo & was one of the best Detroit style pies we've had in Orange County. The crust was perfect! We went to the soft opening of this place the other day so the rating is more food weighted than service or ambiance. Inside, the restaurant was clean and like a group pizza joint with a cool neon sign on the back wall. Service was attentive and the food came out at a reasonable time. The BBQ chicken salad was great, with fresh grilled chicken and nice balance. For the price, it was a decent portion and can easily be split between 2-3 people. We got the Vodka NY Style pizza and this was a hit. The basil on top is a nice burst of brightness and the vodka sauce was well balanced. The sourdough crust was unique compared to other pizza places around and it had a great crisp even under the pizza which had pepperoni on top (grease). The only knock was the Detroit style pizza. The burnt cheese around the edge was very salty and cooked in a way that made the surrounding dough tough. The pizza wasn't also as tall as a usual corner pizza, but the flavor combination on top of the Dockside was pretty good. Overall, I'd definitely come back and grab the NY pies and try another salad. Came back after the re-opening and was a bit disappointed. The recipes seem to be the same but the execution was subpar. Our NY style Bonfire pizza came out with several slices burned. A bit frustrating as the other slices were still great! Also, seems like when the cat's away, the mice will play. The music was overwhelmingly loud and did not fit the atmosphere. The staff was polite to turn down the music but the second we stepped out the door, it went back to club level. It was tough to have a simple conversation at our table until the volume went down. So, I personally have not been there, but I came across all the Yelp reviews and encouraged my 3 boys to go there for dinner last night. They ordered 3 NY pizzas: Amalfi Inferno, Tomato Ah-Beetz, and Shoreline Vodka Pie. At first, they did not want to try a new place and go to one of their tried and true places, but I insisted based on what I read and saw on the Yelp reviews. I am so glad that they went because they enjoyed everything. They purposely ordered extras so they could bring home leftovers for my husband and me. They raved about how good the crust was, as well as the quality and flavor of the toppings. Well, my husband finished what was brought home, and guess what, he and two of my three sons are heading back again tonight to try more pizza from there. My husband wants to try the pizza fresh out of the oven, as well as the Detroit style pizzas. He even told his brother (who loves pizza) about this place so they can come here sometime next week. I think this will be our "go to" local pizza place, like a lot of what the other patrons have said. I personally would love to try the salads as well. They look fantastic! read more

You can tell they take their dough seriously. The toppings were fresh, balanced, and not overloaded, which let the flavor of the sourdough really shine. We had a swuare Detroit style and round both were delish. The space was clean and well-kept, and the staff was professional and genuinely kind. Service felt organized but still warm, which I always appreciate -- especially coming in after a long day at work. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. Overall, it's a solid addition to the local food scene and definitely worth checking out. I would Highly suggest it's for the Kids Sports Team partys. They have a cute arcade nestled in the back. We ordered three pizzas: 1- Detroit style with pepperoni and sausage 1- Cheese with fresh basil 1- Tomato Pie All were ordered well-done. The crust was absolutely delicious. The pizza sauce had a really nice tang to it that went great with the well-done crusts and cheese. I loved the Tomato pie the most. It was a very simple pie that really showcased the amazing sauce, and it included some fresh basil and pecorino cheese. The cheese pie with fresh basil was super simple and delicious. The Detroit style was equally as good, with crispy pepperoni and sausage. I am sure the pie would be even better in-person. Which I may have to do. An absolute gem for the price and pizza quality. Made with 100+ year old sourdough starter and they use their own homemade bread crumbs to make their mozzarella sticks, that are served the most amazing vodka bechanel sauce. I will never be coming back to this restaurant. We waited over an hour for our pizza, and no one ever came to update us. If I hadn't gone up to the counter to ask where our food was, I don't think anyone would have said anything. I was told it would be "out shortly," but it still took another 15 minutes. When the pizza finally came out, we were given a long explanation that the type of pizza we ordered wasn't printing on their kitchen tickets, and that this had already happened multiple times over the past couple of hours. If they knew there was an issue, they should have informed us instead of letting us sit there wondering where our food was. To make up for it, they offered us another round of drinks. My fiancée didn't want another alcoholic drink and simply asked if she could have a fountain drink instead. The employee responded, "Oh, we weren't going to tell the owners, we were just going to get you guys another round." That was completely unprofessional. It felt like they were more concerned about hiding what they were doing from the owners than actually taking care of their customers. After waiting well over an hour, poor communication, and unprofessional service, this was a very disappointing experience. We won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place to anyone expecting good customer service. read more
