During weekends, they offer dining pricing for all-you-can-eat, which allowed us to sample more of their meat offerings. Our server handled our large group efficiently while still attending to other tables. The pricing here is comparable, if not slightly cheaper, than other hot pot places in Bellaire, which is a plus. The central area of the restaurant features a variety of veggies, noodles, and seafood for your hot pot, along with a shaved ice station offering toppings like jelly, mochi, brown sugar, and condensed milk. They offer multiple broth options, served in individual pots, which was a nice touch. I tried the spicy tonkatsu broth, which had a decent flavor. My friends and I came in a few days ago during peak time. The wait for our party of 4 was about 40 minutes, can't complain for a Friday night. Our server greeted us but had lots of plates in his arms so we told him to take his time and to come back to us. Not even 2 minutes later a manager came around and asked if we had been greeted, told her we were but our order hadn't been taken yet. She didn't hesitate to explain the menu, give amazing drink options, and took our order. She then directed us to the buffet and assured us that Jian our server would take great care of us and have our orders right out. She was not wrong! He was on a roll with having our meats come out fast and clearing up enough room for us to order more. Awesome attentiveness, service, and all around friendly! Such a beautiful and clean restaurant too. When we got to dessert, the manager came back and asked how our dinner went and if we were taken care of. Only complaint I have now is that she introduced herself early on but didn't have a name tag like the other employees (my memory is awful) so I can't give her the kudos she deserves, but she was the tall and tan manager with very pretty eyes hard to miss! Instead, we were seated at two separate 4-top tables next to each other--completely missing the point of our reservation. To make matters worse, there were multiple 8-top tables nearby that were empty, but we were told they were reserved for an hour later. It felt completely unreasonable to not be accommodated given the circumstances. I was absolutely furious, and my brother tried to calmly address the situation, but was so turned off by the lack of flexibility that he ended up leaving the restaurant altogether. The experience was even harder for my daughters, ages 9 and 12, who were in tears over the way we were treated. This was meant to be a special family gathering, and instead, it turned into an upsetting ordeal. We will not be returning, and I strongly advise anyone considering this place to think twice. We hadn't done anything to provoke her, yet she treated us rudely throughout our meal. When we tried to address the slow service, she became even more hostile, turning the situation into a heated argument. The most shocking part was the owner's behavior. He was sitting on the opposite side of the restaurant, casually eating his meal, and did absolutely nothing to diffuse the situation or assist us. When we finally managed to get his attention, he immediately sided with the waitress without even listening to our complaints. Service was pretty slow, and the selection for sauces and Meats and veggies isn't as good as shabu zone. It did have an upscale feeling to it though but I feel like people like to eat at their own pace instead of the pace of the servers. Me and my partner were waiting more than we were eating which kind of through us off. It felt understaffed so servers and runners were working really hard. The Sauces were a little different than what we were used to and the bowls for the sauces have a weird shape so if you dip your meats into the sauces it will spill over the side.
