Conveyor belt of food

AYCE hotpot located on Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park. Parking is fairly easy. This place is quite the experience. We went for the top option which gives you extra meat and seafood options which your waiter has to take and it gets delivered to you on a train!!! Everything else is on like this carousel that goes around to all the tables and you just take what you want off it. There are choices of different types of broths from fairly bland for the less adventurous to spicy Korean broths. The sauce station is pretty awesome allowing you to make your own sauces depending on what you fancy or using their recommendations. If you can eat loads, this place is worth the visit

I came here to have quick bite before the comedy show at the Den (opp to it). The experience felt quite overwhelming at first as there are so many options. Basically you select your menu type and then broth. You can order specialized items through some screen at your table. I got kimchi broth and it was tasty and spicy. The dessert experience was decent - the crepe cake should have been thawed better. The coconut pudding in duck shaped was okish. The flavor of broth and meats was very good. There is condiment table just on left side of restaurant so don't skip on that. Drinks are not part of menu so that would be extra to pay.

This place is very fun! Love the rotary aspect, lots of items in the menu, drinks (NA and alcohol), great place for kids even if they aren't big eaters! It's an experience for them. I came here on a Sunday around 1pm and there were three of us. We got the lower priced package which was $34/ person, under 6 is free. It was meat heavy, but the veggies / lots of fish options come through on the conveyer belt. I didn't think that the veggies were very fresh or that there were enough veggie options. They didn't have white potatoes, or tofu balls. If you're more into hotpot for the veggie delight this place might not be right for you. We got the spam fries which were good and very hot, a side of fries for my kiddo, and the steak sushi (fully cooked steak on a rolled rice). I got a hot tea, which tasted like fish water. And a sparkling water that was good. Overall it was an experience, I did smell like stock when I left but it was good.

The deal here is, you pay ahead for whatever you want. You get a bowl of broth, I selected mushroom, then you order your meats. The veggies and noodles are on the lower track, take whatever you want. Your meat comes on the upper track, many different ones to choose from. Throw it in the boiling broth, take it out and chow down. You get 1 hour for all you can eat. Including some nice desserts. There's also a sauce bar to customize everything. We gave it three stars mostly because you're boiling your proteins. Korean BBQ you get to grill everything. Still a fun place.

I was so stoked to try this place. I had to add my name to a waitlist for a party of one and they would call me when my table was ready. It was about a 20-minute wait. But then I was seated at the counter next to another single. I ordered the top package which was everything (including all the meats) and dessert. You get 90minutes total and use an ipad in front of you to add meats and it comes via a train. You can also mix your own sauces at their sauce bar. There are some great options. I made my own and tried one of the housemade sauces. The RIBEYE was my favorite of everything I ate. All the food was fresh, easy to cook, and amazing. It doesn't fill you up too quickly so you can try plenty of items. There are something like 60+ items on the conveyor belt to try. Most give you instructions on how long to cook in your hot pot broth. You can get your broth refilled as it evaporates too....and drinks are extra, except for water, which is ice cold and such a welcome treat with one of the spicy sauces I tried. I also had the mango pudding dessert, which resembles a little character...so cute! I will go back and would love to visit with friends to make it more of a social engagement. The service was also TOP NOTCH!!! And don't be intimidated because it's easy -anyone can do Hot Pot - but you can ask for help and they will show you the ropes.

I love shabu shabu and frequent their Chinatown locations as it's closest to me. We came in and were seated right away with no reservation on a Sunday afternoon. The staff is very attentive and always refilled our water. They asked if we needed anything whenever they'd walk by. The food is always very fresh and the meat is soooo good. I always get the sukiyaki broth and it is very delicious. Their sauce making bar is has many options. I usually mix soy sauce and sesame seed sauce along with garlic and green onion as well as broth when I it is warm. The only thing that I don't like it that they do not offer the smoothies like their Chinatown location does.

Shabu Plus Rotary Hot Pot is my favorite place to take myself on a solo date! I enjoy ordered from the AYCE premium menu. The meats are high quality, the selection of vegetables and noodles is plentiful, and the service is quick and attentive. I always leaving feeling so happy and full, and I'm always looking forward to my next visit! This is a great spot to enjoy solo or with friends, as they have seating options for all sized parties!

Their hours

Called ahead at 8:30p if they could seat a party of one, said I will be there around 9:20p and I eat quick. Drove 30 min to get there and they locked their doors early.

New favorite hot pot. Has more side options than the ones we went to all the time. Shrimp tempura, spam fries, calamari, shrimp fried rice (AMAZING) and mochi. A little bit more than others in price but it's worth it. The wait was an issue as they don't do reservations. They should at least do the Yelp wait list or something. There was no room for people to wait as we were standing over tables and their buffet. Tables were a bit small for our orders but the staff kept busy in clearing used plates. Overall the kids loved it and they actually ate!

This is my favorite place in Wicker Park, honestly maybe all of Chicago. I go here so often, once I went twice in one week and a server joked with me, "see you on Sunday" when I left Shabu Plus Rotary Hot Pot, my comfort place. There are some different tier levels you can pick from that include different things, I always go for the most basic tier though. There's also a couple different soup bases you can pick from. I highly recommend the tomato base, it literally always HITS. The beautiful thing about this place is how easy it is to try a ton of different things you might not have ordered normally! My favorite things to get are wood ear mushrooms, watercress, bok choy, yam noodles, and glass noodles. There are literally so many options. I love how the little info cards on the conveyor belt also tell you how long to cook the item, too. Of course, the star of the show is the MEAT!! You order the meat (and drinks and desserts) on the tablet at your table. The meat comes out on these sick Transformer looking semi trucks straight to your table. It is seriously healing to be here. Especially as the weather is getting colder, there's nothing like having a cold beer and hot pot with your friends! Sometimes they play anime music or kpop which is epic. I wish they'd play anime on the TVs (hxh is my recommendation) but every time I've been here it's usually got sports on so that the white dudes who got dragged here don't get overstimulated. After dinner, I always buy a couple of tokens to try winning something from the claw machine. I haven't won anything yet, but I've got my eye on the fuzzy Stitch plushie. There's a deodorizing machine that, unless you wanna smell like hot pot all day, you better utilize on your way out!! Idk what's in the spray but it's actually crazy how well it gets rid of the hot pot smell. After stuffing myself full of meat and veggies, perhaps my favorite part of coming here is the fart walk back home.

Food is great and i love that it's individual shabu pot with conveyor belt theme! The desserts are great too. We finished our meal before it closes, but the staffs were nice and asked politely if we needed anything before kitchen closes.

This was a really fun experience! There are two tiers and we chose the premium one which includes various cuts of beef for 90 minutes. You start by selecting a soup and they bring you a large pot that you'll use throughout your meal. You order the different meats on a tablet and an automated train/truck brings them out to you. All side dishes constantly go around a conveyor. Both the meats and sides have notes telling you how long to cook them in the soup. There are also desserts on the tablet including mochi, cheesecake, and ice cream. Highly recommend for a fun hot pot meal.

Wagu House Chicago!!! You must go here! What a great place to experience. Great staff, great food,…read moresmiles and service. Comfortable atmosphere, just a great place to frequent. Our server, Phil took great care of us, the staff all made sure we were happy with the service, and the food. The used dishes were promptly removed, water always filled, dessert brought at the perfect time, we had a great time there. Will definitely be returning. Our new go to place Thank you Danny, Sean, and the rest of the staff, thank you! Sherry H.

We been to Wagyu House a several times, but unfortunately this visit was a bit disappointing…read more While we were waiting for our table, we ordered drinks at the bar. The bartender's service wasn't very welcoming. I don't know why he didn't smile throughout the interaction and came across as frustrated or iirritated (no interaction) Our server was polite and friendly, but the service was lacking. He rarely checked on our table to see how the food was or whether we needed anything else. Other servers (a few) ended up helping us place additional orders because our server wasn't around. Even when we were ready to pay, we waited about 10-15 min before he came back with the check. The quality of the food and ingredients was still very good, which is why we continue to enjoy dining here. However, the service this time didn't match the standard we've experienced before, and it definitely affected our overall experience. At this price point, we expect excellent service, great food, and a pleasant dining experience.
