I've been to the location in Chinatown before but this was my first time in Bridgeport. There is a standard dining section and several rooms for larger parties. My fiancé and I we seated in one of these rooms with a group of ladies, a small barrier diving the table. To be clear this was not meant to be like a hibachi situation. It was intento be two separate tables. I didn't like this. We all talked in normal voices and there was no "overlap" but it was awkward. That being said the food was great. We got each of the lamb options, the Wagu and ribeye. All were delicious. I think the buffet in Chinatown has a bigger selection. I also enjoyed my Mai Thai. We came here for dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. Our family is always in the mood for hotpot year round, and my mom recommended this spot because they had private dining rooms. She had called ahead to make a reservation for 6 adults and 2 kids (2 high chairs) and requested a private room. Our party not only had two kids under 2 years of age, but if you could imagine, we were toting 2 strollers, 2 backpacks, and we all had heavy winter coats. We were initially assigned to a semi-private dining tool that had three long tables in an alcove towards the middle of the restaurant. It was a tight fit and while we "only" had six adults, our strollers and high chairs and ability to move around comfortably without bothering anyone was restricted by the layout of the semi-private room. We requested if our party can move to a fully private room, near the back of the restaurant (that can seat up to 12), and thankfully, they accommodated us. Honestly it took a little convincing and we had to make a case because they said those fully private rooms were booked. Viewing our strollers (however sleek/compact/modern they make them nowadays), eyeing the highchairs, the distance between baby and boiling broth, and perhaps putting themselves in our shoes, they accommodated (relented). The fully private room is very comfortable and I recommend specifying that room when making a reservation, otherwise they may put you in the semi-private room based on your party size. We ordered the premium AYCE and it was a great experience overall. I've been to their other location in Chinatown, and I like the Bridgeport location better, especially their AYCE set-up. Parking is a bit tricky, you'll probably need to find metered street parking. But I love their little buffet of non-hotpot items like fried rice, egg rolls, french fries, mantou buns, crab rangoon. It's provides a nice mix of items. My dad really liked the fancy fish you get with the premium price, but aside from that, I think most people are plenty happy with the standard AYCE options. 4 stars! read more

Typical buffet "filler" items, but they tasted good, nice and crispy! Kumquat lemon and plum drink, as well as a fountain were included in your standard entry. Solid AYCE hotpot experience! Decent variety of vegetables and lamb/beef, and the sauce bar is great! The lamb shank alone would be worth splurging for the more expensive AYCE option -- it's savory, salty, fatty and so addictive with the spice mix you can dip the meat into. It's no QiaoLin since the options are more limited, there's less complimentary snacks in addition to the sauce bar, and the ambiance isn't as nice, BUT the service is still great and attentive considering they have to keep up with everyone ordering all they can eat :) It's located right on Halsted where there's metered street parking, but as long as there isn't a game at the White Sox Stadium, the parking along Emerald (or any surrounding residential streets) should be free! This is my go to happy lamb Chicago location. It can be busy but I've never waited more than 15 minutes for a table. Paid street parking - can be hit or miss depending what day and time you go. Spacious area, clean and quick service. You only order the broth and meat through the server. You can order up to 2 different broths in a pot. If they had a 3-divider pot, that would be the ideal thing like other hotpot places offer. My friends and I typically get the original marrow and spicy marrow broth. They have a newer broth, golden cabbage marrow which is herbal-y and refreshing but too spicy for my own spice tolerance. Vegetables, noodles, sauces, and drinks are self serve in the back area. They also have individual ice cream cups and fudge ice cream bars for dessert. read more

Its still all you can eat and you order the meat with the staff. The rest of the food is at the self serve bar - the veggies, noodles, seafood, etc. The ready to eat food is also self serve. I like the chicken wings and fried dough. I must admit that I like this style of self serve better because I could get as much as I like rather than "an order/serving" would could be too little or too much.
